The staff at the hotel was friendly and nice. However, one of the two elevator’s was out of service. The ice maker on my floor was out of service and we could not control the ac in our room. Other than that…the stay was good ha

The property is CONVENIENT TO THE CHARLESTON AIRPORT.... BUT the property has a big problem ...there is there is No Airport Shuttle. The cooked to order breakfast and good coffee and tea at a very reasonable cost was a surprise and delight. The other issue was the pool and the area around it was dirty and we noticed parents with children wouldn't let them in the pool. Otherwise the room and bath were clean and well appointed and the staff were fantastic. Would I stay here again.. absolutely, if I were visiting the area, specifically Charleston. If I were flying out of Charleston unfortunately I would select another property that has shuttle service.

The room was not clean enough. I used my own personal cleaning supplies and it took an hour to clean shower which contained mildew/mold under drain, and dirt under shower doors. Also, as I wiped everything down, dirt and lots of hair appeared on the disinfect wipes. I continued cleaning the room later in the evening to feel comfortable. Once I took off my shoes, I noticed that the carpet felt damp. The bedroom area appeared clean/decent so I thought maybe the carpet was shampooed and it just wasn’t fully dry. When I slept in the bed the mattress was very uncomfortable- my husband, myself and our daughter complained about it. We all felt back pain the next morning. The refrigerator did not work. All of the food and drinks were not chilled so we had to throw them out. We along with another family were briefly stuck on elevator that was not working. The elevator went to the fourth floor, then it immediately went the first floor. It then took about 3 minutes before it opened. My husband and my daughter as well as myself all began feeling as if we were coming down with the cold/ flu. We felt fine upon arrival and then we noticed we were all coughing and sneezing constantly along with running noses, water eyes and a constant post nasal drip. We didn’t understand why until we noticed the mildew in the bathroom and damp carpet and we figured it had to have mold/mildew in the room. Because we could not stop coughing and sneezing. The ice machine was broke too The room number 430.
