Quiet area south of Dublin but easy to catch a taxi into the central city. Huge grounds that were great for walking around with a kid (they loved the "Secret Garden"). Bar and Lounge area is very cool and breakfast buffet in the garden was a hit with the family.

Breakfast was varied and plentyful. I would have liked some brown soda bread and scones. Room was clean, bathroom a but small and needs to be updated. Parking was great. Staff were so lovely, very friendly and nothing was a bother!

Parking was great, just out the front. Entrance was welcoming, lovely door staff and reception. Cosy feel with the fires lit. The room was excellent, comfortable and had everything we needed and more. Bar was lively and great drinks. Breakfast was fresh and plenty to choose from in a lovely environment.

I stay in hotels all over the world and this is absolutly not a 5 star hotel ,barely a three. I have known this hotel for years and decided to book for a 4 day trip. On arrival the main building is lovely, serving staff in the bar and resturant were very friendly although young and inexperienced and the main grounds are well cared for. Thats where the positives stop. As a VIP location for Expedia and with my platinum status I should he’s been offered a room upgrade and discount on a meal spend. I was never offered this. The hotel listed EV chargers. All were out of order. When we got to the room it was 13 degrees and would not go up. They sent someone to look at it and it was stuck then at 27 degrees for a few hours before returning to 13 degrees. The list of items that were not working kept growing, the fridge in the room as well as the kettle. The decor was tired and dirty in places with loose sockets,cracked tiles in the bathroom and ripped lampshades. We had a light in the rooms internal hallway that kept flashing all night. The icemaker in the hallway also did not work. Then weirdly the bar closed at 11 midweek which almost every person I spoke with thought was way too early and the prices were more in keeping with the tourist traps in the city. Sadly I would seriously think twice about booking here this Fawlty Towers again.

Despite advertising the facility (main reason I booked this hotel) they don’t have EV charging facilities . Also was told it was available in the garage next door which was another lie by the staff member on the front desk . Really disappointing service and in this day and age not to have EV facilities is simply madness …

The grounds are wonderful and food is tasty at the restaurants even if service is a bit slow. but our room was not cleaned when we were there. Just the beds were made but washroom was not cleaned at all for five days that we were there. That was unexpected for such a high end hotel. It left a bad impression.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated — everything felt high quality and inviting. The staff were excellent: friendly, professional and always willing to help with anything we needed. One of the highlights of the stay was the breakfast — absolutely delicious with a great variety of fresh options. The location was also very convenient with easy access to local attractions and amenities. Considering the level of service, comfort and overall experience, the hotel offers great value for the price. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.

Hotel grounds is great and breakfast was very good. Staff is nice too. Positive notes stopped here. Room with AC that stops 10 seconds after turned on. Room dusty, some cushions with stains and bathroom with toilet dirty. Room needs new carpets ASAP.

Poorest 5 star, structural building cracks, smelly bathroom, no daily house clean, no swimming pool. It is a 3-star hotel, wrong garden picture indication, and sits within a residential building area. Nothing as you expect from a five-star with price paid (we paid 195 GBP per room per night). We have two rooms for two nights as a family and expect a cosy stay. 1. The hotel has the poorest housekeeping. We returned on the first night at 6:30pm and found room housekeeping was not done for either 132 or 134, so I called the reception. Reception suggested they are short of staff??! 2. On arrival, we had to ask for slippers as the room didn't have slippers in the room. And of course, no bath robe either. 3. Shower curturn rotted with orange-ish colour and bad smell. Holiday Inn could generally have better hygiene than this. Just shocking. 3. Shower fixture: The wall-fixed shower is a 1970 -1990 type in both rooms. The shower head in 132 gives very slow water, which is not warm enough. I was half bent to use the shower hose of the bath for my shower, next tk the horrible smell of an orange-coloured curtain (with blue dirty marks). 4.Most importantly, the wall tile of bathroom in 132 has a vertical structural crack for over a meter long, the floor tile was cracked at the same corner. This building needs a structural engineer inspection. 5. Breakfast was nice if it is a 4 star, but service was slow.

Radisson St Helen’s is set in an impressive, classical building, with large gardens. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The hotel has many areas where you can enjoy a drink or snack overlooking the well-kept lawns and gardens. My room was large, clean and very comfortable, with coffee-maker, safe and iron available in room. Breakfast was really nice, with a great selection of foods. The hotel is easily accessible from Dublin centre by bus. A great place for a relaxing stay!

Lovely grand entrance to the hotel - unfortunately not as grand in the room - very dated room / furniture. Bathroom cracked floor tiles / old bath with shower curtain.. Can’t understand why this has a 5* rating. I travel a lot - the room would pass for 3*. I didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on the food.

Great place to stay, lovely setting and great front aspect. Easy to get into Dublin centre but spacious and green. Some of the facilities in the room are a little out of condition (shower heads, small/old baths). Staff were lovely and the common areas were nicely done.

Allocated a lovely room, felt safe as single traveller. Bit dated deco in rooms, still shower over bath. Room was a good size and comfortable. Beautiful gardens that I didn’t get time to explore. Staff at breakfast excellent, reception staff friendly and the Orangerie staff were knowledgeable. Had a noise problem with room upstairs, but staff were quick to resolve.

The room was dated, bordering on poorly maintained (broken tiles and fall rails in tub), no temperature control so stuffy even with windows open (though it was unseasonably warm). But all the amenities like water, coffee/tea, etc. were appreciated and the breakfast was hands down the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. I also think the gym could be far bigger/better given the size of the facility. No real “complaints,” just what prevented it from being an amazing stay.

The Radisson Blue St. Helen’s is an old-school, stately “Grande Dame” of a hotel, with lovely grounds, excellent character and great bones — something I quite enjoy. That said, the decor, the rooms and their functionality are showing their wear and tear and are overdue for renovation and upgrade of basic amenities. Despite having an upgraded room with a beautiful view, the room and bathroom itself was very dark, plugs were lacking, the bathroom light fixtures were old (and in one case not working at all due to faulty wiring that couldn’t be fixed during my stay), bathtubs/showers need modernization, and clothing storage could use expansion/upgrading. On the bright side, staff were very friendly and accommodating, within the scope of what they could do to meet my needs. I appreciated their efforts. In summary: this is a lovely hotel, but for this price-point I would seek out something more modern, with the amenities one expects at this level. That said, I think it could be an excellent choice again in future, with the upgrades mentioned.

We enjoyed the heritage and architecture of the hotel. The exterior gardens and landscaping were well maintained. The hotel room was large and comfortable. The food at the Talevera restaurant was good and the breakfast buffet had a nice variety. The front desk staff provided poor service. They gave inconsistent messages about the breakfast buffet telling us it was complimentary and the following day another staff member denied we had complimentary breakfast and stated we had only 20% off food and beverage. The staff were aloof and not accommodating. During another encounter I had asked the front desk for a bottle of water only to be told it was only complimentary on the first night of our stay. She instructed I would have to use room service in order to get a bottle of water. The response was upsetting and frustrating as I had to pay 4€ for the water and 6€ room delivery charge!! Unfortunately because of these poor experiences I won’t be staying at this hotel in the future.

Room service - I waited an hour and ten minutes for a bowl of mediocre soup which was also tepid when it arrived. I was told it would be 30 minutes. I called after 40 and was told it wound be there soon. It wasn’t.

The staff at the Radisson Blu St. Helen's were wonderful. They helped our family of 11 get taxis to head in town central Dublin. They also advised us on purchasing the breakfast buffet which was wonderful.

We found the hotel beautiful & appreciated the extras in our room. It’s really just the speed of service for everything that was disappointing but this is probably because they were at full capacity.

The hotel and grounds were lovely. We asked the housekeeping staff to clean our room, and the trash wasn’t even emptied and nothing was done except stacking pillows on a radiator. There was no toilet tissue given, so we ran out in the middle of the night. The food and drinks at orangerie are very good, but trying to wave down a server can prove difficult. We ordered, received, ate our entire meal before our cocktails were delivered- *after* we ate- and we had ordered them 15 minutes before the meal! We had to ask for water just to have something to drink because we are en entire meal without any beverage at all. Hotel was lovely to look at. William was a standout in the Orangerie.

The Radisson Blu is located on a dual carriageway 20 minutes from the city centre, with good transport links. Set in beautiful grounds, the hotel is well-maintained and offers everything for a relaxing stay. Rooms are large and comfortable, if showing minor wear and tear. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served until 10:30, and is reasonably priced for the selection available. Staff, again, are very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment this time was the amount of draught/wind blowing through the reception and Orangerie restaurant. Although storm Ashley was passing through, I feel more could have been done to minimise the amount of cold air entering the building. It’s was quite uncomfortable for diners. That said, the meal was well-presented and enjoyable. I’ll stay again!

Very nice location for our stay as we were so close to the DART rail. On 2 different days we went to Howth, then on another we did Dun Laoghaire, Dalkey and Killiney.

Room was clean but a bit dated, some of the furniture could need a refresh. Parking was self park in a basement car park with direct access to hotel floors. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and eggs cooked to order.

This is a gem of a property sort of on the outskirts of Dublin, away from the noise of the city, and yet just a short bus ride away from the center of downtown. The original manor house is exquisite with a glorious lounge; the restaurant is excellent; the staff was superbly attentive and responsive.

Parking was great, just out the front. Entrance was welcoming, lovely door staff and reception. Cosy feel with the fires lit. The room was excellent, comfortable and had everything we needed and more. Bar was lively and great drinks. Breakfast was fresh and plenty to choose from in a lovely environment.

St. Helens is an amazing property. This hotel is well located in South Dublin and the staff were above and beyond helpful. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the food was very good. The rooms were well appointed and clean. We look forward to recommending this to our friends and family.

Beautiful hotel, absolutely gorgeous building and garden. Room was spacious and nice. Breakfast was a bit disappointing with having to ask for coffee after 20 mins and very ok but basic selection (some grapes were moldy) . Our stay was ruined though by one of us getting an allergic reaction the brownie at the orangerie that shouldnt have contained nuts.
