Hotel Penzance Promenade

The location in front of the beach is very nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the hotel is dated. There was a water leak above the entrance to our room and the carpet was wet and musty and every time we went into the room we would be dripped on. I was surprised we were given the room despite booking from overseas a couple of months before.

The constant (i.e. all day and all night) tapping of the ropes on the flagpoles opposite the hotel kept me awake, as I am a light sleeper and we needed to keep the windows open to keep cool. Otherwise, we were very happy with the stay.

Lovely hotel right on promenade. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast choices.

We had a room facing the promenade with a panoramic view (room 2) and it was beautiful. The room was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed, aside from hair conditioner, but Lidl is right next door. The beds were very uncomfortable. Hard as a rock. If the beds were comfortable this would be 5 stars for sure. Breakfast was fine, has what you’d expect.
