Easy to find. Good parking. Quick check in. Slight traffic noise in background but not seriously bad. Restaurant closed on Sunday-pity the menu looked quite good. But quality Indian restaurant about 300metres down the road. Overall a good budget hotel for a night stay.

Parking was great

£30 for breakfast way too expensive Eggs, beans, hashbrowns and mushroom. Really? Room was ok. Limited drinks at bar but reasonably priced. Food menu looked ok but used Just Eat for food.

Incorrect information about the restaurant. I was informed it was open. When I attended I was informed it was closed. I booked this hotel due to on site restaurant due to long drive.

The female receptionist was very slow at checking in and did not get the keycard sorted out properly. She had no interest in doing her job. The lifts were out of order from checking in to checking out. This meant guests had to use several flights of stairs to get to the room.

Plenty of free parking in a great location. Excellent shower but the flooring in the bedroom needs replacing.

Must use the restaurant, you will not be disappointed

We arrived to be given the last double room available. In entering the room it became clear that it hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guest. The bed sheets were old and dirty, with hair in the bed and the room itself was not fit for a new set of guests. My boyfriend went and spoke to the reception desk and was told by the gentleman (used in the loosest possible term) that they couldn’t clean the room or change the sheets so we had to put up with it like it was. My boyfriend told him that we wouldn’t be staying if they couldn’t make it fit for guests. His role was ‘well you don’t be getting your money back’. So we left. Not impressed and certainly won’t be recommending this hotel again.

Staff were more interested in watching their phones and talking to eachother, wifi not working, room dirty, sheets stained, handwash in bathroom was washing up liquid, bed really uncomfortable, fixtures in room look damaged and scruffy

Car park and check in we had no problems. Excellent location for getting the bus into bham if wanting to stay outside the city. Unfortunately the bed sheets had stains on them, genuinely unsure if they weren't changed from the previous visit? The bathroom was not very clean. Convenient for going into bham for a concert but won't return unfortunately.

Nice reception area and good parking, room was ok, a bit dark and the bed was uncomfortable. Bedside light was lnot secured to the wall correctly. The shower had mould on the ceiling, not really acceptable

Staff were very friendly and welcoming the place was clean and well presented throughout.

Very tired, very basic hotel room. Mould and mildew throughout shower room / toilet. Cobwebs and mildew in corners of room. Very uncomfortable mattress. Tradespeople and vans unloading loudly right underneath bedroom window. Hands down worst hotel stay I’ve experienced to date

The stay was not good. Reception was clean and staff were polite. However the room was disgusting. There was an odour that we couldn't shift even with opening the window all night. The wall and flowers extremely dirty. The bed, even though the size was good, there was no comfort and we didn't really sleep. Agiwith cleanliness, the shower was awful and very dirty. If we didn't have to drive for several hours then I would not have used it. We asked if there was an alternative room but apparently the hotel was full, yet I didn't really see many people and there were only about 30 other cars. I do have photos but this review won't upload

The room was poorly appointed and not clean. The furniture was worn and the bed was horribly uncomfortable. The service was poor. I expected far better for the price paid.

Wasn't greeted on arrival, barely acknowledged really. Felt as if we were more of an annoyance when we asked to be checked in. We were given no information on breakfast times, check out times or WiFi details. Front desks was a very poor experience. The room was dated and the mattress and pillows uncomfortable. I've stayed in many hotels for both business and personal. I don't normally leave reviews and normally wouldn't complain but after a long journey and looking forward to relaxing it was a letdown. I could accept the room but the front desk experience is the main reason I'm leaving this review. Wouldn't stay again.

The TV in room could not get any signal and the wifi was just as bad, this is the second time I've stayed and had the same issue...probably won't go back unless really have too

The rooms were tacky where the floorboard was out of place, the walls had cracks, the door handle was lose and it was worse than a hostel room.

Rooms are out dates , the hall way looked like someone had done half a job on plastering and re painting. The bed was very uncomfortable. Hole in carpet room 216

The room has some kind of timer wired into the wall that was extremely noisy and could not be switched off meaning it kept me awake all night. Also the door outside my room has no slow close on it so every time someone went through it I heard it bang. No sleep all night.

Beds/mattresses was very old, springs poking through couldn’t sleep at night. Stayed for 5 nights, complained on first night said they would look into and change, had to complain every night as nothing was done. Ac unit in room not working nothing done by staff to rectify

The bed was large and spacious, but the rooms were not entirely quiet; one could hear people walking or talking in the hallways.

Really poor overall. Air conditioning wasn’t working , could have the window open as too close to motorway junction and busy road . Sound proofing in room felt insufficient , sirens fairly regularly through the night . But the single worst element other than various damage points in the room was the green ‘night / emergency’ lighting . Literally lit up th whole room. The photo is from the bed , around 3am.

No the AC was not effective enough

Hotel is outdated and needs an uplift but it was clean and yes there were signs or water ingress and damp/mould but it didn't take away from the feel of the hotel in that you didnt feel unsafe to sleep there as that was all I did. The additional bar lock on the door was broken so for a single woman could be an issue. The windows provided some barrier to the main road traffic but it was the lads outside that were loudest. The doors in the communal areas are not soft closing so everytime someone went through there was a thud but again not enough to be upset over. The shower head wouldnt stay upright but the pressure and temperature were very good but the shower needs a non slip mat as the surface is very slippery when wet. They leave tissue from the last guest in the room rather than putting a new one which i completely understand. Didnt have breakfast but from what i saw it looked hot as i could see steam rising from plates of those eating and fresh food was coming out. Reception staff were pleasant and check-in was quick and easy. There's also an Aldi, Asda and other shops literally next door. It matched the cost. if you are booking to spend every minute in the room then not for you but if it's a place to lay your head and spend some time relaxing it ain't awful

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and have always had problems with my room as things have not been working etc. This time I did have an issue but everything was sorted out by a member of staff called Brian. He was very professional and understanding throughout.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located next to Junction 2 on the M5, with Aldi right beside it and Asda opposite. Plus, it's just a five-minute walk to shopping and restaurants.

When i checked in last night get the room key open the door was shocked i am in a hotel or a hut on the road room no 205 door handle was broken all screws were coming out and door was not locking properly. Went back to the reception told them and young boy came with me to check and he saw the door is broken and said dont worry its ok will lock when you push i was very upset and said i dont want this room with broken door and he was arguing with me all the way back to reception saying nothing wrong with the door i said please show me other rooms if all the doors in your hotel are broken like this i will take the room. I was struggling to get the other room very bad service and the girl on reception said nothing wrong with the door i said you sitting down stair and he have seen the broken door screws coming out why you guys are behaving like this and after all this she gave the other key and i went bavk upstairs to the room and then that key didn't work i have to come back agian to the reception. Very upset about the service first time book ramada and very bad experience will not book again

All our party enjoyed their stay, liked the location being close to Birmingham with the available easy access. All the staff were polite and professional and nothing was too much trouble. Only downsides, the rooms we had 2/4 were 'tired', in need of refurbishment and room 4 obviously has suffered from past water damage, architraves/bathroom door etc. So on initial arrival the room on presentation had a damp/musty odour. We alleviated this by opening the window to allow fresh air in and then settled in for our stay. Others may not have been so accommodating. That is the reason for the 4 star review

Good location for the event we were attending. The hotel was neat and clean. Aircon didn't really work even though I asked at reception if it was working and told it should work when card is put in. Did that and waited few hours , went to sleep woke up and still not working. At least window could open wide and a nice breeze, just meant we had to put up with noisy traffic all night. The staff were friendly on checking in Check out was simply putting card in a box. Room smelt damp and lots dust as it hasn't been used for a while. It did have everything we needed. Bed was clean, mattress terrible and needs replacement as very hard. Good shower with plenty hot water. Mostly fine for one night and right location.

We have stayed here a few times when in Birmingham. Easy to get to with dining options nearby. This time our shower was broken but otherwise everything was fine.

My stay at Ramala was quite good. The breakfast was excellent, but the rooms don’t have any AC, which was a bit uncomfortable in the warm weather. If you’re working or sleeping, it’s best to put the “Do Not Disturb” sign out as the cleaners tend to bang on the doors. Aldi and Asda are just a 1-2 minute walk away, while McDonald’s and other food stores are about 5-10 minutes depending on your pace. Overall, I’d rate it 8 out of 10.

Not a great night's sleep. Room very run down, quite dirty and lots needs fixing in the bathroom. Didn't sleep as people outside the window (at front of hotel) laughing l, smoking and being generally loud at 3am, tried to call staff but no out of hours. No staff on reception this morning when we left at 7am. Staff last night however were very helpful and polite. Food was great quality and fab price

Probably the most uncomfortable bed I have ever tried to sleep in. (Springs and very little padding). Food in the restaurant was mediocre and unedible. Certainly won't be staying again

So we arrived they then told us if you pay cash then you have the give us £50 cash to hold till you go. We asked why we were not told they then said they had no idea. They put the cash in an envelope and said we could collect it on departure. On departure we went to collect it and they said sorry we only have £40 in notes and gave rest in 10p pieces. Their cleaners were very noisy. Good value for money hotel. Breakfast very good value £8 and well cooked too. Eating places very near to hotel.
