We had a great stay at the W hotel in Hoboken. Beautiful views and close to restaurants and shopping. Although there was renovation construction going on during our visit. The bar and lobby is closed during renovation. The construction was during business hours. Looking forward to the end result.

The property is great, nicely located, beautiful views and all, however their entire HVAC was out of commission during our stay. The room was incredibly hot and humid with no AC and it was a hot day! The entire building and facility was out of commission from having AC. We paid over $550 for one night and had a terrible night of sleep, having to take a cold shower every 15 minutes just to keep up and stay comfortable. The hotel owes us a complimentary night to make up for this terrible experience!

The hotel appears to be going through major renovations. Plastic wraps and fresh paints in hallways, room is old and falling apart while smelling like epoxy paint. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in period, at any price point, not that this one is cheap by any means.

The lobby was being renovated, not mentioned when i booked. I wanted my guest to see the lobby and hang out to "people watch" but the entire lobby was closed. And it was not labeled how to even find the way in. Disappointed... I always sray there when visiting my son, but this stay was definitely not great..

It was a nice stay room was large. Weird that there was only a mini fridge with items to buy and not store your own drinks but other than that it was a nice stay. Only down side was the lobby was under construction but there was no noise and the staff were very contentious to make sure that you were able to walk around safely. And Vallet was not only worth it the staff were fabulous

The W Hoboken is a lovely clean hotel. It is in a beautiful location along the Hudson River with stunning views of Manhattan. Our room was clean and had an amazing view of the NYC skyline! Parking across the street was very convenient.

The room was small and not cleaned. Headboard had centrum stains and smelled needed to covered by a bedsheet. The blinds were broken. No internet service TV would not stay on for more then 15 mins. Desk was scratched up and chipped. Carpet stains from elevator to room. Outlets did not work. No fan in the bathroom. I think is enough. To least we were not impressed. The liking of the room to price ratio was very very low. The doorman was very nice and helpful. It is highly unlikely we would stay at the W again!

I've stayed at this hotel twice simply because the location is perfect. However, it ends there. I always thought the W was a prestigious hotel chain until I stayed here. Their rooms are stuck in what feels like the early 2000s. It feels like they haven't been cleaned /renovated since then as well. Both times we stayed there were stains in the carpet, disgusting splash marks on the base of the bed, and the desk chair was destroyed. Maybe it's just me, but when you stay at a nice hotel you expect it to AT LEAST be as clean as your own home. The restaurant downstairs is subpar at best unless you only want a drink. They gave a bar in the lobby that's literally never open just taking up space. Luckily there are plenty of restaurants nearby. SAFE TO SAY WE WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE MOVING FORWARD! Unfortunately, if they don't invest more into this hotel I can see it closing or being bought out by someone who sees it's potential in the near future.

The hotel is in a great location. Walkable to the train station and plenty of dining options. We booked a jr suite and were extremely disappointed in the quality of the hotel room for the price. The room was super dingy and did not feel like the W hotels we have stayed at in other locations. The furniture was pretty beat up and the headboard was stained with who knows what. The room we got had a great view but that was the only positive about it. I will say the staff was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. However i would not book here again and would not recommend it.

The Internet connection for the TV was crap. It was basically unwatchable Monday night or Tuesday morning. If I were staying for more than 3 days and planned on spending any time in the room, I would have changed hotels!

Best part about this hotel is the view. Do not settle for just a room or a partial view room. You have to pay more and get the river view. So worth it! Absolutely extraordinary!!!!!!!!! Also, a river walk park across the road. Perfect! Transportation to the city - Ferry / Train. We took the ferry. It was on the weekend, so it ran every 30 minutes. There was a fee but again worth it. Small downside, the room needed a thorough dusting but the view!

I love the location and view! I have been here many times but this recent visit was disappointing. I arrived in the evening and sat in my car for a while waiting for assistance which experienced in the past. No one came so I locked my car and went to the front desk, and only then did the valet people appeared. There was no one at the front desk. Eventually two men appeared. Check in was slow and interrupted by several guests who distracted the gentleman who was checking me in.. Finally I sat down and waited for the man at the desk for about ten minutes. Then I was given my key. Once I got to my room, I attempted to dial my phone to request room service but there was just a busy tone. Then I went downstairs to order room service. I went to the restaurant and they said I could not order from them and I was directed to the lobby to use the phone in the desk. I tried to call and when I was I ordering I was disconnected so I went to the desk and asked them to order it…a lot of running around for simple things-as stated, I have stayed here many times and previously, my experience was flawless. I’m not sure why this visit was so weird but whoever is in charge should pay better attention to staffing issues and the comfort of their guests! Yikes! Would love to return but not sure if I want to if I have to be challenged by routine needs.

Called the desk- said we could move (but we were already unpacked and ready to sleep. Asked if they could fix next day, which they assured us. Back next night and nothing done. Called again and they offered some Marriott points. That’s not the point. When you have a higher end property, make sure things work. If they don’t work, make sure they get fixed promptly.

We tried to check in two different times, one time being well after the check in time. The front desk told us they still didn’t have our room ready. They didn’t try to accommodate us until I spoke up and asked for any available room.

The staff was amazing. Truly appreciate Essence for all of her help and assistance with our stay. And Ms. Gina was wonderful to us, making sure we had everything in our room. The property was clean and up to par. The views were tremendous so we will definitely be back asap

I can’t say enough great things about my recent stay at the W Hoboken! My girlfriend and I stayed over the weekend to celebrate her birthday, and the experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish. First, a big thank you to Michelle, the Guest Experience Manager, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. From her follow-up at the very start to arranging thoughtful birthday surprises in the room—chocolate-covered strawberries, wine, and a birthday balloon—it was such a sweet and personal touch that made my girlfriend’s day so special! The staff at reception were equally incredible. Dante was extremely helpful in upgrading us to the 1 King Bed, New York City Skyline View, River View, Corner Room suite, and let me tell you, the suite was absolutely stunning! The balcony offered one of the best views I’ve ever seen, and the room itself was gorgeous—elegant, spacious, and with the most comfortable bed ever (we even slept in!). The hotel’s overall atmosphere was stunning, with a modern and luxurious vibe. The valet staff were so personable and kind, making every interaction pleasant and easy. Dining at Halifax was the icing on the cake. The food was beyond amazing—seriously, OMG-worthy! Alexander, our waiter, was so attentive and made the dining experience extra memorable. The W Hoboken is a lovely clean hotel. It is in a beautiful location along the Hudson River with stunning views of Manhattan. Our room was clean and had an amazing view of the NYC skyline! Parking across the street was very convenient.

Stayed here to visit NYC. It’s conveniently located to everything including the PATH train that we used daily. The views are the best part as we could see Lower Manhattan all the way up to the West Village. Very clean and just a great experience.

We had a great stay at the W hotel in Hoboken. Beautiful views and close to restaurants and shopping. Although there was renovation construction going on during our visit. The bar and lobby is closed during renovation. The construction was during business hours. Looking forward to the end result.

This place is very good. I had a nice view of the city and it was very quiet. They have a nice restaurant downstairs and room service was excellent. If they make a few changes, restaurant will be great. For example, the office chair in the room was scratched. If they get rid of a few things in the room, hotel would be great. I will stay their again

The front desk and valet staff were excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel felt dated. The living room bar was dreary. There were few patrons in this once bustling bar. The one bartender seemed inexperienced and was very slow. Not the lively experience I had visiting this establishment in the past.

I love the cityline view and the customer service at the Halifax was truly amazing. I wish the website would inform hotel guests that the hotel lobby is currently under construction, which kept us confined to the room-a heads up would have been courteous. We woke up to jackhammering and lots of noise during our vacation, where we were hoping for peace and quiet. Everything else was great!

I've stayed at this hotel twice simply because the location is perfect. However, it ends there. I always thought the W was a prestigious hotel chain until I stayed here. Their rooms are stuck in what feels like the early 2000s. It feels like they haven't been cleaned /renovated since then as well. Both times we stayed there were stains in the carpet, disgusting splash marks on the base of the bed, and the desk chair was destroyed. Maybe it's just me, but when you stay at a nice hotel you expect it to AT LEAST be as clean as your own home. The restaurant downstairs is subpar at best unless you only want a drink. They gave a bar in the lobby that's literally never open just taking up space. Luckily there are plenty of restaurants nearby. SAFE TO SAY WE WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE MOVING FORWARD! Unfortunately, if they don't invest more into this hotel I can see it closing or being bought out by someone who sees it's potential in the near future.
