This was a pet-friendly motel although the "pet area" was next to nothing and unlit, although there were doggie bags. There were not enough plug-ins in the room....we have CPAP machines and I had to crawl under the bed to utilize the one plug-in which meant I had to unplug the side table lamp. There was also one plug-in behind the refrigerator which was used for the fridge, the microwave, and the coffee maker so I had to unplug the microwave to plug in and use the coffeemaker. There was not an AC unit in this particular room. There was a standup fan provided but it was grossly dirty where the fan blade and screen were but there was also a ceiling fan. We did not know how to use ROKU even with the instructions that were provided so we had to log in to our own PRIME account to watch a couple movies. We could not navigate to any local channels. There was an ice machine in the office but it was not working and we resorted to the local Dairy Queen for a couple cups of ice. At one point there was someone sitting in a chair in the parking lot smoking pot with various pieces of furniture/chairs/stuff around behind a couple of parked vehicles. We have stayed at this motel in the past in the end unit near the "pet area" and it was decent then but the pet-friendly room we had this time was in the middle of the building away from the unlit "pet area" which we felt was not convenient. I can say the office people were very helpful.

Great place to stay while in Brookings. Ive literally stayed in all the lodging available in Brookings in my past 9 years coming here. Wild Rivers is my favorite place to stay in Brookings. Great location and very good accommodations for the price. My only concerns this past visit which has never been in issue before was the parking. Various vehicles were taking up two spots which ultimately reduces number of parking spots available in a small area to begin with. I don't know how management can prevent this other than taking license plate while a reservation is made to be able contact room # and they can park correctly. Again, this has only occurred once before so not a major concern but an observation, nonetheless. Highly recommend the Black Trumpet Bistro for Sunday Brunch.

Great place for an overnight. Older place, but has been remodeled. Beds were comfy, the young lady at check in was very friendly. If you're looking for a no frills, affordable and clean place, check them out, don't let the age of the outside scare you away!
