Hampton Inn & Suites West Sacramento

Property was clean, room was clean. Could use fluffier pillows. Service was great. Breakfast was the best so far from all the similar hotels I’ve stayed at. They actually have hot items like eggs, sausages, waffles, etc. downside is you do have to pay for parking which is $10/day plus tax/fees. Other hotels the parking is free.

Clean, good breakfast, pleasant people. The $10 per-night cost for parking was not mentioned anywhere until I checked in, however.

Great place to stay to watch Athletics play at Sutter Health Park. Clean and fun pool.

So I stayed here after coming from LA, and this hotel looks old but not that old. What I like about this hotel was the breakfast, it was yummy but could use to change up the menu not just have eggs, home style potatoes and a different type of sausages. Another thing I like about this hotel is the rooms, it had a very nice and modern cooling system and the beds where nice, what I does need is new lights, tv, paint, internet needs to speed up a bit, it wasn’t as modern as I hoped. The last thing was the pool. It wasn’t as crowded and it was surprisingly warm, so I liked it very much. One thing I would have is an entertainment room of some sort for kids to have fun and play, or something for the family. Overall I like this hotel it was very friendly and quiet.

Nice place to stay. Area safe and quiet. Close to shopping. Very nice breakfast. Ladies at front desk last night were welcoming. Only complaint— fee to park. Why??

I don't feel you should have to pay for parking when you're paying for your room (parking is part of the room). Feels like a hidden cost. I didn't realize this charge until checking in. There should be more towel bars in the washrooms to hang towels to coincide with housekeeping's every other day room service.

Its good from gym you can work out and theres a laundry too. Super convenient for what I needed

Nice and clean BUT they did not tell me there is a $10 charge for self park outside.

The gym was good. Dining in the area was OK. The rooms were quite nice.

The shampoo was empty. There were stains on the carpet. One morning at breakfast I am pretty sure that there was a homeless person helping himself. The room was clean but needs a decorating refresh. The property is nice enough, but was over priced considering the above.

All the carpets were clean and fresh. The staff was very helpful and welcoming breakfast was great - nice variety of offerings. We would stay there again, definitely.

I stayed here with my son to attend the CHP academy orientation. The academy is located right across the street and is very convenient for that. The breakfast buffet was ok. Out of coffee for awhile which sucked since we didn’t have time to wait. The room was nice with a mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom could have been cleaner but I have pretty high standards for cleanliness. Overall pretty good but wish it were cleaner.

The curtains/blind roller thing didn't close and it was super bright all night in the room. The lights in the room didn't really work from a switch.

Clean, comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Easy and early check-in. Quiet and clean place to stay. Plus check out is at noon.

The check in was easy. Associate was very friendly. The free water was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean, renovated, very good bed/dresser, etc. The price is competitive to other hotels in that area. I will stay again at the Hampton Inn.

I have stayed here before and we did not pay for parking, this time we did. Also, I was on the second floor and I heard all sorts of banging and noise from the floor above. It kept waking me up. I think I would ask for the 3rd floor next time if I return.

Rooms are large with comfortable mattresses and bedding. Extra fluffy pillows. Plenty of towels and high pressured hot water in the roomy walk-in showers. A/C was MORE than sufficient during the triple digit weather we experienced. Breakfast easily accessible and great for quick bite or to take on the go.

The room was great. Big, clean, very comfortable. But the shower had a small leak and never stopped. I couldn't hear it with the door closed. The breakfast was not so good to put it nicely. The omelet was nor very good tasting. I took one bit and brought it back to the room and gave it to my dogs. The sausage didn't look good enough for me to even try it. The potatoes were good. My cup for milk had a leak and when I picked it up there was mike all over the table. I think for the money the breakfast should have been much better. Anyway I went across the street to jack in the box and got a supreme croissant and a small coke for over $10.

First off surprise charges an additional $10 charge for parking. This makes no sense whatsoever. People are traveling and then you're going to charged them to park in your parking lot. Where else could you park, but in there parking lot? Second They were having issues with their key cards. They couldn't produce and had to escort you up to the room to let you in. When I voiced my concern, the gentleman said you can cancel your night stay if you would like really that is their response. They didn't even offer a discount for the room. Thirdly In the middle of the night I went down to get some To get some water and snacks. I went to pay for my purchase with a $100 bill and was told we don't take bills over 100. I told the young lady. This is not over 100. It is one stated. I can't make change. I had to put it on the room charge. Fourthly You would think that the management? Knowing that there was an issue with keys and having to escort guests up-and-down to their rooms that they would have had more stuff. Available. First thing in the morning during the continental breakfast. Only one staff person was there to escourt. The guests back up to their rooms. We were not even asked what room we were only taking one guess the time. I was already waiting when when they came back downstand she had the audacity to ask us if we could wait while she took a guest on the first floor to their room before taking us up.

I've stayed many times there, staff is just amazing and helpful.

The room felt neglected because every time we left the room there was a cart in the hallway but never once saw a cleaning lady! Seamed like they did as little as they could to clean room & to finish fast! Manager tried lying to us & said the room was only required one of the services of light cleaning! Come on after paying $560 I think I should have also gotten my sheets changed & bed made!

I stay at this property virtually everytime I visit Sac. It's clean, the staff are friendly and accommodating and the complimentary breakfast is pretty good. This time around when I checked in, for whatever reason Expedia didn’t send my information to the hotel. When I checked in and this was discovered, instead of throwing up their hands like most hotels would do, they booked me a room on the spot until they could reach out to Expedia to clear up the issue, as I did have my confirmation email on hand. For the inconvenience they didn't charge me the parking fee. Also they have now added streaming boxes to each room so that customers can watch their Nextflix which is a huge plus. The only negative thing is the pillows are not the greatest and it takes the sink water a long time to heat up. All in all I would keep coming back and I recommend this hotel as its close to the freeway and eateries that are within walking distance.

Well located, near the freeway, gas staion and restaurants right in front.

Often stay here when I have an early flight out of SMF. Very clean and friendly. Easy access from the highway and 5 minutes from the airport. Highly recommend.

Everything was great from check-in, to the cleanliness and comfort of the room. Onsite parking was another great perk and the surrounding area felt safe, with ease of access to the freeway.

Location was convenient to downtown but also to south Sacramento where family lives. Easy to get to and from.

Hotel was in a very convenient location directly across from the CHP Academy and had several options for food in the area that were walking distance.
