Under construction in some areas so no access to pool yet paid full price. Breakfast hot items cold and bland not up to HIE standards! They ran vacuum in area where we ate during breakfast time rushing people out 30 minutes early; could not enjoy coffee with family! Not sensitive or respectful to family time could not visit with vacuum running!

The pool room had no ventilation and was not air conditioned, so it was unusable. The building was being renovated.

Charging a $50 pet fee without notice is extortion. We booked because it is a "pet friendly" hotel, and expected a $20-$30 fee (as typical for the industry). When hit with the $50 fee, we had no choice but to accept it. This is a remote location with limited options on a busy Saturday night after the July 4th weekend. We felt the management abused the pet traveler and I would not have stayed if I had know of the excessive fee.

This was a good hotel but not great. The room was nice and clean and so was the hotel itself. We chose this hotel because it said it had a pool but when we arrived the pool was green and staff stated it was closed. The other issue we had was that we only received two towels for bathing in our room. We are a family of four which we filled out for our reservation. My husband asked the front desk for two more towels and the staff stated that they were out. I would have expected more out of a big chain like Holiday Inn.

The stay was fine until the next morning when the elevator was out and I was on th second floor with my small dogs and handicapped family. It was not good taking dogs down the stairs and family getting down the stairs. I paid good money for the room and expect some compensation for our inconvenience. I usually marriotts and have never had this trouble.

Comfortable stay. A little difficult to find as you have to drive through Walmart parking lot to get to hotel. The elevator needs service as it was grinding between the 2nd and 3rd floor

Room was great and the staff was decent. Problem is with parking. Youre not given any indication as to who can and cant park there until after you're checked in. If you have a trailer of any kind, they ask you to park at Walmart which is a decent walk. Would be a bit scary after dark for many people. Bad business to have more hotel rooms than your parking lot will accommodate

Room was spacious and clean. Great place to stay. Will not let you park auto and trailer near your room.

I wanted to bring to your attention that during the ongoing remodeling of the property, I have noticed that the room has not been properly cleaned. The space was quite dirty when I arrived, and it seems that cleaning has not been a priority amidst the renovation work. Though they charged usual fees.

Blood on bathroom floor. Sheets not clean at check in. Moved room and it was ok for a quick sleep before leaving for more travel. Breakfast poor compared to other holiday inn expresses I have stayed at.

Room wasn’t clean. There was hair on the floor. The air conditioner rattled and the CO alarm buzzed and chirped all night. We got 2 hrs sleep.

Great place to stay the night while traveling across the country. Very comfortable and clean.

This holiday inn is undergoing an update however this left parts of the building in not ideal conditions. The stairs next to us had about 20 dead crickets as well as old window shades. The room itself was mostly clean accept around the inner toilet seat and a very lime crusted shower head. The location in town is convenient and off the highway so it was quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful but it definitely needs a deep clean!

The door was open when walked in, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned. There was a wet towel in a dirty bathtub and used toilet paper and a dirty toilet. Also there was damage to the wall in the bathroom and Sheetrock and broken tile everywhere.

Property needs a lot of work. Broken floor tiles in hallways. Room not clean. Bathroom was dirty. A/C didn’t work properly. I even broke a tooth on a piece of sausage at breakfast. Will never stay here again!

Very loud. We could hear neighbors above and beside us walking around. Our door has a large gap in the bottom which let in a lot of light at night.

Room was nice and big! Lots of room for our family of 5! The water in the shower/bath was only barely warm though. That was the biggest disappointment. Everything else was great!

I stayed 4 nights. The best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. The room and service was not up to par with the price paid though. The refrigerator never stopped running and it froze everything I put in it even after placing food at different heights / shelves and trying different thermostat settings. The rooms do not keep out noise. You can hear talking through the walls and doors closing will keep you up all night without ear plugs. Childress is busy right now with AI data centers under construction but for the price paid the room construction should be better to make the rooms more quiet. The maid service was inconsistent. One evening when I came back the trash can had been emptied but no bag was replaced and I did not want to use it without a bag and make the can itself dirty as that would be disrespectful. They would also replace the bathroom rug each day but not the other towels and rags. The window blind was always left cracked about 8 inches and you could not tell as there is another slightly see-thru drape that covers it. It is hard to notice if you return to your room when dark and it looks right into the bed, so someone outside got to see a show until I noticed after the 2nd night. I closed it and someone kept opening it slightly every day. Just keep it closed if the guest closes it.

We stayed with our three pets and that worked out fine. The only problem was the shower didn’t work but we were just there for one night.

The room a/c did not work well. Lots of construction going on. Elevator was dirty. Breakfast was good. Staff was nice.

We were traveling with our audit granddaughter in a longer trip. The desk clerk was very friendly and nice and got us checked in quickly. The room was very comfortable and quiet. We had a good night’s rest.

Huge room

Property is definitely under construction as the rooms aren’t in the best shape (our first room had nails sticking out of the floor) to which we addressed and they gave us another room. Our second room had AC issues but the front desk and staff were quick to fix that issue. Staff is polite, courteous and attentive to needs!!

No hot water for 2 days. That is all that needs to be said. Staff say “wait 30 minutes. I’m sure others are just showering.”

Had a great stay here! We were running late and the front desk staff was so helpful and kind with our stay. The room was super clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again when in the area. To top it off the breakfast the next morning was really good and plenty of choices. Definitely impressed with the entire experience.

The stay was fine. Check out wasn’t. I checked in Thursday. Gave id and credit card. Was given keys. Then my sister in law checked in, gave id and credit card and was given keys. Friday when we checked out, she checked out first. Then I checked out. I was asked which card I wanted to use and I said I went through this when I checked in. Then she said I must have reserved on one card and checked in with another. I said no, just one card. She gave me last 4 of 2 cards and one was not mine and I was concerned why someone else’s card was on my room. When I got my receipt it had my sister in laws name. I asked her what card number was on her receipt. It was my name and card. Receipt I was given had her bame and my card. Went back to desk. Was told we must have swapped rooms. We did not swap key cards or rooms. She said she would credit one charge on my account and charge my sister in law one room. At this point I have 4 charges on my card. I should only be charged 1 night in 1 room. Will see if this gets sorted out without me spending a lot of time!

The hotel its self was not bad at all, but somehow the hotel lost hot water and then they shut the water to the entire hotel and didnt inform, apologize or try to accommodate to anyone for their lack of hospitality. The rooms were nice and comfortable. Quite area no other complaints other than the inconvenience and lack of communication.

Check in was seamless, staff was courteous & friendly; great recommendation for dinner. Property was clean and well maintained and breakfast is great.

Was traveling back home when a snow storm hit. Decided to book a room for the night. Was fortunate to get a room as most were sold out due to the storm. Arrived around 5 PM to a lobby of at least 15 people checking in or trying to get a room. There was only one person working the front desk and she was working her tail off. She did an amazing job and was very professional, polite and did an exceptional job getting everyone checked in as fast as possible. Room was clean, warm and the bed was very comfortable.

Parking was a problem! The staff was not friendly or helpful and fairly argumentative. We had booked multiple rooms and they had a problem finding them. Wanted us to park at the Walmart parking lot.

The hotel is under renovations, and they are trying really hard. However, the customer service here is terrible and that's why I say go elsewhere. There was another guest on the floor above us blaring music all night long. We complained many times during the night and nothing changed. The staff claimed they tried to ask him to turn it down but I don't believe them. The music was still blaring when we left at 8 AM the next morning. When I expressed our disappointment (and lack of sleep) with the hotel staff, he literally shrugged his shoulders and told me there was nothing he could do because we booked with the third party site. Not impressed.

We enjoyed getting to watch a roadrunner as we loaded our car. The entrace through the Walmart parking lot was unique.

The price is a little high but the service was very good,the room was up to date and clean. Very quiet since it is off the main highway. Breakfast was good.

We left each morning before breakfast started, so we can’t answer. However the parking lot was well lighted and safe.

We had an enjoyable stay but I really hope your new owners do something about the entrance road. It's hard to find in the dark. ,

It is in a great location for food, shopping, and entertainment.

I chose this hotel because it was off main highway and was definitely quieter. Slight mix-up with rooms, but that was handled efficiently by the manager.

Nice room, bed and breakfast. The hotel in areas, like the elevator, are old and need of renovation. Some areas are under renovation. It was awkward pulling into the driveway of the hotel through a Walmart parking lot (through the truck rest area). The driveway was not light up at all and hard to find. But, other than that, we liked the hotel. Please put up lights on your driveway.

As we sat in the parking lot in the evening The two dogs from the farm next door came and visited us . Two Great Pyrenees gentle giants . The front desk attendant said they even have a road runner the runs thru the parking lot . Nice quiet Country feeling

Hotel was nice and clean, but the winner here was the breakfast! Full, hot assortment with eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy. Or if you prefer, pancakes and cereal. Did I mention the hot, fresh cinnamon rolls? You won’t go hungry for sure! Breakfast attendant had the best attitude ever, also!

Not frilly, but very comfortable, clean, and quiet. Staff was helpful and courteous. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast in its class for sure. Food prepared with special care. Excellent bacon and eggs, along with lots of good options as well. Great choice to use Dove products in guest bathrooms. Nice work Childress Holiday Inn Express!

The facility was clean, the room furnis ings were new and modern in good condition. Basic things were lacking. We had a room for 4 and 2 towels. No hand towels at all. Breakfast did not exist. Thete was nothing more than coffee. No facility was found for the touted "free breskfast" .free because it was nonexistent. All we found at 6:30 am was a desk clerk outdide smoking.

The hotel in general was Good but the breakfast must be improved, at 9:10 am no more eggs and sausages left for the breakfast!!! All the servicemen or women disappeared in the kitchen!!! The clerk from front desk was not able to find anyone and didn’t even let me know the situation!!!!!

Hotel was clean and easy access. Great place to stay. Staff very friendly and breakfast was good. Will stay again.
