The staff was helpful, friendly and professional however the elevators take too long (only 2) especially in peak season; some guests had to take the stairs. There was a line up of 20 mins sometimes just to get down to breakfast. Breakfast is ok but bland and same every day. Rooms could be updated; they are a bit old. Perfect location within walking distance to Times Square and subways. The hotel is nested between other hotels and across the street from the Port Authority bus terminals, so there isn’t anything in the direct vicinity for shopping, dining, or entertainment. Free breakfast from 6:30-10:30 M-F and 7-11 on the weekends. The elevators are small and very busy around 9am so not a great time to try and leave if you are in a hurry. The room keys required multiple attempts to operate the elevator and unlock the room. Otherwise, all staff was very friendly and can’t beat the price!

Overall the property isn’t that bad considering the proximity to Times Square. The rooms are very small and plan on 15 minutes wait for the elevator at peak times (morning). The staff doesn’t have a service elevator so they are moving up and down floors with their carts on the guest elevators. Also, plan on standing in line for 15-30 minutes for a table for breakfast. The space is not properly allocated for the number of guests. Otherwise, the staff is friendly and accommodating as best they can be with the number of guests they have to deal with.

For a price of £100, I thought this was excellent value for money. The room was spacious and had an excellent view of the skyline. It was completely quiet but that was never going to be the case so close to Times Square and after one night, it was easy to adjust to. The breakfast was basic but perfect for a traveller and seemed really popular amongst guests. Moreover, the gym was simple but had enough to work up a sweat and will be looking to come back here if I visit NY anytime soon!

The hotel is nice, location is perfect 3 minutes walk to the 42 Port Authority metro and bus station that take you everywhere in NYC. And about 5 minutes walking to Times Square. The building has 32 floors but only 3 elevators and one of them was out of service, so most of the times we had to use the staircases glad we were at 4th floor. Long lines in the breakfast, the cafeteria is small, but they offer a hot breakfast that was good. The staff is friendly and they storage the luggage after the check out until 10pm. Also they received your packages from online shopping without any cost.

Can’t fault our two night stay, conveniently located directly opposite Port Authority bus terminal and 10 minute walk to Penn and Moynihan stations. Nice big clean room, good AC, good equipped qym. Excellent breakfast. Small dining area so gets busy around 9am, go early to avoid queue. Friendly helpful staff

Breakfast was good- cold cereal, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, coffee, juices, English muffin/bagels. One elevator broke while we were there and one toilet plugged- but when we called, the toilet situation was fixed in less than 10 min. Staff was great, friendly with a can do, and will do attitude. Able to store luggage before checkin and after checkout, which was huge in NYC. It was rainy during our stay, and port authority station was right across the street and could enter and walk to several trains very easily and still stay dry.

The hotel was overall good, with the staff being especially outstanding very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, but the lobby had a strange smell that was hard to ignore and slightly took away from the first impression. Breakfast was decent with a fair variety, but considering the price we paid, it didn’t quite meet expectations. For the cost, there are probably better value options nearby, though the excellent service here did stand out.

The hotel has beautiful updates in lobby and rooms. The staff were always accommodating and pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was okay. It has yogurt, cereals, toasts, waffles, sausages, and eggs. The eggs were not edible as they did not even taste like eggs. The rooms were small but decent size to sleep and to be expected for NY city. My only complaint was the shower did not have hot water. The bathtub spout had hot water but when you switch it to shower head it turned cold. Not until my husband was washing his hands we figured out we had to keep the sink faucet running the whole time someone showered just to get hot water from shower head. We were in room 206.

First off I want to commend the employees. Everyone was nice and polite. To the ladies running the breakfast area, you are AMAZING! Now to the not so nice part. The area outside of the hotel felt unsafe. As a family we did not feel comfortable staying out past sunset because of this. One of the disappointing things also was that housekeeping was every other day and I’m not used to that when we travel. I had to take trash out downstairs because there was no room for it in the room. We had to call reception for toilet paper because we ran out (we were a family of four and there was no extra in the bathroom) the conditions of the room were not the cleanest either. The carpet was almost black from how dirty it was. I just wish it were cleaned more often. The lobby on the other hand was spotless and smelled great! The breakfast that was included was also great but the space was small for the amount of people that were there. Waiting almost 30 minutes to make a waffle was disappointing.

The room was much smaller than expected. There was no room to get from one side or the other and hardly any storage space. The elevator took a very long time, especially since one was broken. It sometimes took 10 minutes or longer to arrive, so we took the stairs instead. The location was very convenient, however.

I had a very uncomfortable night due to the bad quality of mattress, pillows and noisy rooms next to mine. Will not stay in this hotel again ! Very tiny bedroom, bathroom door does not give privacy and I could hear everything from the other bedroom. Staff is very nice though!

There were some definite positives to staying at this hotel, which include a close proximity to Broadway and time square. Down side, some of the surroundings were questionable with homeless and visible drug use. Our room had two issues: 1st we booked a room with city views. The view from our room was the side of a dirty broken down building and some rusty water towers, so a little false advertising as far as city views. 2nd there were only 3 working outlets in the room (one of them was in the bathroom). All of the other outlets did not work, which did make it challenging to charge our devices.

Breakfast was good. Location is near Times Square so easy to get around, but area around hotel is very dirty.

The front desk staff were very accommodating. We liked the fact that we were given an upgrade from a queen to a king size room, as well as getting a room on the 30th floor with a view of the city, when I mentioned it was a belated 16 yr. Anniversary trip. We were also given 2 bottles of water, along with a box of truffles. I liked the safety feature of having to scan your room card to use the elevator, bathroom and restaurant. I liked that upon checkout, we were able to check our luggage on a storage room since our shuttle was coming almost 4 hours later. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful variety. The only addition I would like to see is on your menu is BACON. They only had sausage. Ms. Karen Cerdeno, the Asst. Front Office Manager, was willing to make sure all our needs were met. She had a big warm smile whenever we interacted. On our future trips to NY, we will be booking with your hotel.

This is a New York City hotel, so the rooms are small. However, the beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, staff is friendly. The breakfast is fine and good for children. Checking in was a bit of a hassle and I am not sure why. We had two rooms both of which were supposed to be reserved as pay at facility. However, the afternoon of our arrival, staff was telling me they couldn't guarantee the rooms because I hadn't been charged. Then we had a flight delay so only one part of our party could check in and that was a problem because his credit card wasn't on the record. I am not sure I even understand it. So they charged him for part of the stay and then I had to pay and then they refunded him. It was a convoluted process. It was even more confusing because I had spoken by phone with staff a couple times, plus I had an email message that everything was set. It was worrisome. I didn't want my family in NYC without a reservation. When I asked why the process was so unwieldy, the staff blamed it on fraud. I recommend the hotel, but I would only book direct with Marriott.

I had an extremely disappointing and hurtful experience during breakfast. A staff member working in the kitchen treated me in a discriminatory and racist manner. No one should ever have to face such behavior, especially in a place that serves the public. This kind of conduct is unacceptable and should not be tolerated under any circumstances. I hope the management takes this seriously and ensures proper training and accountability to prevent this from happening to anyone else.

My partner and I definitely enjoyed our experience. The room was clean location was prime unfortunately we did have an incident that happened with one of the staff members that singled out my partner on the breakfast line, loudly in front of all the other guest. And it was very much so intentional. Not only was it was embarrassing, but it was also unprofessional and tasteless. I’m hoping management will have a teaching moment with Teresa and she understands where she was wrong.

I had my reservation made through Expedia website. When I booked, it said that payment would be made upon arrival. Apparently, they tried to charge my card a day before because I received an email informing me that the payment had been declined and that I should contact the hotel. While I was driving to the hotel (From Niagara Falls to NY), I called to check if everything was okay. I informed them that I would be using a different card and that I was on my way and would be arriving late. They told me there was no problem and everything was fine. However, when I arrived at 11:00 PM with my family, they told me they couldn’t find my reservation. It was a very stressful and traumatic moment. After a while, the employee found my email and told me that indeed my reservation had been canceled at 9:00 PM. My frustration was: #1 Why did they attempt to charge my card if payment was supposed to be upon arrival? #2 Why did they cancelled the reservation without calling first? I’m very grateful for the help the employee gave us. However, the level of frustration and inconvenience was considerable and could have easily been avoided with proper communication from the hotel staff.

I loved everything about this hotel, except for the location. It was in a pretty seedy area and the sidewalks were very dirty. I find most of Manhattan to be amazingly clean. The hotel staff was pleasant and the room was bigger than we usually get. The bed was comfortable and housekeeping does a nice job. Overall, a good value for the money, especially since it includes breakfast.

The Marriott Bonvoy locations I've been to have been consistently comfortable, clean and convenient. This location is in a dense area between Times Square/Hell's Kitchen. It is across from the Port Authority which makes it extremely convenient for all kinds of public transportation but also can be a little sketchy at night with some open drug use but it is always busy with foot traffic so it's safe for the most part. Once inside the hotel it is very safe, and an oasis in a hectic and bustling city.

Staff working the breakfast were great. Extremely friendly and helpful. One of the elevators was out of service for days. Waited forever for the elevator to get to the 10th floor. Wife and I walked down several times after waiting for so long. Outside of hotel didn't feel so safe. We didn't have any issues but didn't feel comfortable.

Good enough hotel given location. Breakfast was ok but mostly the same think every day and limited choices. Also limited numbers within the breakfast restaurant so had to que a few times in the morning. Beds and room ok, but small in comparison to other hotels, but this could be due its location and size of hotel.
