Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Lubbock

Nice place, lobby was under construction, but clean. Parked my car under a lit billboard and was absolutely covered in pigeon poop by morning. It would be great if the desk staff would provide warnings or a sign. Don’t park under the electric billboard. Fitness center equipment needs maintenance.

Parking is an issue due to the limited amount of parking available

It was a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, there was still some renovating going on at the time of our stay. Parking was kind of scarce. I would like to have seen some kind of security at night in the parking lot. I saw a lot of people walking around at night in the parking lot that weren't guests of the hotel.

This hotel was good! Breakfast was good! My only complaint is that the hot tub was not hot, more like lukewarm.

There are only a few parking spaces around the property. It didn’t feel safe having to park so far away and walk in the evening to the hotel. The swimming pool’s water was warm and bacteria lives in those conditions. We had to go to the front desk four times to get into the door. It was not always easy finding someone T the front desk to share concerns or ask questions.

Stay was good room was nice and comfy. Room ac was good just needs move vents. Hot tub was out of order, hallways and lobby were Hot. Its a good place for overnight.

We are greatly enjoying our stay with this property, during our in-limbo in town move. The staff is friendly, and courteous and always willing to go the extra mile. Thru a very stressful week in life, this is the one space I’ve found some peace and quiet to regroup. Our family is very grateful for your hospitality, the cleanliness of our spaces, the comfortable hot tub, and business center. You’ve made this move much more bearable, and are an asset to Lubbock and its travelers and visitors.

Good hotel. Near the United Supermarkets Arena for a concert. Also near Texas Tech campus. Fairly quiet area. Indoor pool and spa but was small and crowded so we didn’t use. Room was very large and roomy. That was really nice. Friendly staff.

The bartender Chris was great! All the staff was friendly.

A treadmill and bicycle in the gym was not working properly.

Check-in and check out were very convenient. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The only drawback was the air conditioner, which is extremely loud! And, the hotel overall can use some thorough cleaning, like floorboards and carpet cleaning in the hallways. And a fresh coat of paint is also due. I would stay here again, though.

Overall the room was spacious, but it was dirty and smelled weird. The restroom floor was also dirty. The cabinets and drawers in the kitchenette were dirty and stained, not in the best condition. However, all outlets worked and we slept comfortably.

The room was dirty, sheets looked dirty , I slept in chair, people above me were extremely loud, and continued till 3:00AM. I called front desk after listening to them for 30 minutes, and asked if they could talk to them, to quiet them down, front desk they would see what they could do. Will not recommend this place to anyone!

Very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful and aware of situations. The front desk lady was very nice and accommodating when I asked for milk for my baby that I forgot to bring. It was such a good visit.

I had to clean the urine off the toilet and pick out a long strand of hair out of the bed. Kind of killed the vibe for me checking in after midnight, straight into having to clean the toilet with the make up remover as a sanitation wipe before I could use the toilet.

Roaches in our room. Bathroom toilet water was very slow. No remote for tv

Dirty, unkept, falling apart bath tub rusted drain. Refrigerator was filthy. Room should of never been rented out.

The shower head pressure was only issue. Very weak.

The A/C heat unit was particularly noisy and woke us up every time it went on. Beware if you are looking for a kitchen that these rooms only have a microwave and a small refrigerator without a real freezer that does not freeze things, and there are no utensils/dishes/pots etc as other extended stay places have. We will be staying somewhere else our next trip through Lubbock

It was a cozy room, the noise was extraordinarily loud this visit as opposed to the last time. This will still be our only hotel when traveling to Lubbock

We stayed here because we liked it when we visited Lubbock a few years ago. However, the surrounding area is not the nice area it once was and the property itself seems old and kind of dreary. The good news is that a renovation has begun. The bed was great; I usually do not sleep good on hotel beds but I slept great here.

Pet friendly and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. The room was clean and spacious. Hot tub in the pool area was great! I will stay again when I visit again.

Noisy ac

The room was spacious, though the mini fridge was a bit noisy. The room was clean and the staff that we interacted with were friendly and very responsive.

The beds were comfortable but the pillows were not. The room itself was lovely. The only real issue is that the tv did not work.

Was really nice. Room was good, bed was great. Couch was in needs of repair. Key cards kept malfunctioning and the front desk staff was less than professional.

The person attending the front desk at the time that we checked in was Kee. She is definitely the standard that you should base all guest interactions on. It was later in the evening when we arrived, yet her awesome energy gave us weery travelers a boost. She is a breath of fresh air when it comes to customer service. She is very engaging, and did I mention energetic. She is well deserving of any performance bonuses that your organization issues.

I checked in on a Friday evening. Got my family situated and noticed there was no cable television. I contacted the front desk they showed minimal effort to resolved this issue. They advised maintenance would make it out. Maintenance never showed up. Saturday morning I addressed the same issue. Maintenance showed up in the afternoon and was not able to resolve this issue. The staff at this hotel was not very professional or interested in resolving this issue. Nothing was done to make things right!

Check in and out was terrible. I checked in at 5:45pm. No desk help... had to wait 5 minutes. Apparently, the help was in the bar. There was no bell to ring. I used a tin can with pens in it after 5 minutes. The same with check out at 10 am. Secondly, the front desk screwed up. Registering me in one room but key card for another. I had no idea until 11:40 pm at night when I was awakened to someone beating on my door and trying to use a key card to come in. I told them they had the wrong room. Fifteen minutes later, the front desk called and asked if I was a particular person's wife. I said no, and what the heck was going on. Then I said check your rooms and that's when they discovered their mistake. Never apologized for waking me up. At check out I asked for manager and nicely explained what happened. I asked for some sort of compensation for being rudely awakened and being scared half to death as a female traveler. She said that she could not give me anything since I booked through Expedia.That's when I gave her a piece of my mind. True morons work here.

We had an issue with our room and Brooke went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied. Caring employees like her will have us going back again. And many thanks to Jessica for her help as well.

Easy, fast check in. The desk clerk was nice and accommodated us immediately when the room we had wasn't ready. The room was big and clean. Had all the welcoming items and it was a great experience.

Everything was great except for the person that was working the desk when I came back from work at 5:00 in the morning acted like I will shouldn't be there that I wasn't dressed right and it was just overall not comfortable feeling but other than that it was fantastic

Very loud until way into the wee hours of the morning. Bar was open late so there were people partying everywhere. I sat for 30 minutes around midnight waiting for my rooms to be “available/ready” which was pretty annoying considering I had booked several days in advance. Staff was friendly but seemed very unorganized.

We stayed one night due to my Daughter having surgery . I originally booked a double bed room with a roll in shower to assist with bathing since she is in a scooter. They gave us a room not what I booked but when we told them the guy was very helpful and switched us rooms to accommodate which we got lucky for cause it was the last one they had even though that was what I booked. Before surgery my daughter was required to bathe 2 times with a special soap which left us needing additional towels so I went up to the front and asked for some and explained what I needed it for and the girl there was rude and asked why did we need more if we already had some and I again explained everything and she gave them to me but later I found out she charged me for them without letting me know I would be charged . Over all we liked the facility but the workers need to be more informed on what was booked, less rude and let the customers know when there will be a charge not just spring it on them .

Upon check in, we went to our room and found the door to open. All cabinets in the kitchen area were open and couch was pulled out, TV was on. Surface areas did not look clean. I went back to the front desk and the person working, Nicole, was less than caring about it. She was downright rude. She said the most she could do was close the cabinets. I said that was the least she could do, and also come inspect the room so I wouldn't be charged for any issues since the door had been open for who knows how long. She was extremely rude and unkind on the way up to the room. She slammed all the doors closed and threw the cushions back on the couch, gave us dirty looks the entire time and slammed the room door closed when she left. I spoke with the manager the next morning and she was apologetic. As far as hospitality goes, I would give this place ZERO stars. I will not stay there again.

Security was good, close to places to eat. Fairly quiet and priced right.

our stay was just an overnight stay. Close to hospitals. Starbucks next door. We enjoyed our stay, pool area clean and welcoming. did not have time for breakfast but did see hot items, waffles, and pastries available. just grabbed a muffin and apple for the kiddos. parking area looked safe. overall would stay again.

The staff was kind but the ac unit in the hotel room was terribly loud and the bathroom’s tub was gross. The walls are also very thin. Location was decent to the university and there is a Starbucks within walking distance and a Market Street on the opposite side of the freeway.

Conveniently located to Texas Tech, and it has been about five years now that we’ve been staying here and we’ve not had any issues. Staff is always great clean.

Property is centrally located for easy access to any part of city. A nice park , with small lake, is within walking distance of motel. A lounge is located on site for an evening nightcap.

Great free breakfast with plenty of options available right up until the end of the service time. Gabriel, the breakfast service manager, was so welcoming and made sure the area was kept clean and the food was fully stocked. He deserves a raise!

Not aesthetically pleasing. Furniture very worn, terrible pet scratches on bathroom door. Breakfast was terrible. Fake eggs with strange seasoning (maybe garlic? Gravy was tasteless and bland. Sausage very greasy and barely warm. Very pleased that a friendly maintenance man showed up almost immediately to fix an issue with our TV. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The windows were so filthy you could barely see out of them.

Beautiful clean hotel,loved the presidential suite. It was very comfortable and lots of privacy. Breakfast was a bit cold, my only complaint. Will stay again!

Great hotel. Front desk is always great. Room was perfect. Breakfast is amazing. Biscuits/gravy, sausage eggs waffles and hot coffee. Starbucks next door so thats always a plus.

I enjoyed staying here for a 5 night stay. The rooms are expansive and large so I was happy I had room to move about. Slept well every single night. Room is equipped with just about everything you need except for a stove. I went a got groceries for my stay and had no problem making lunch and dinners with the kitchen equipment. My room was clean upon arrival and housekeeping did a good job. Hotel overall is clean and breakfast selections do the job. Nothing spectacular but they do put out a variety of things and breakfast was good every morning I was there. Hotel staff is very nice and polite. I locked my door key in my room and lost it a few times and they still helped me and were patient with me asking almost every day for a new key. My only knock is parking. There is huge parking lot right infront that we can't use so you have to park along the side or front but I always found a space. Restaurants close by and Market Street is right across the street to get groceries. I'd stay here again because it's nice and close-by everything so you don't have to stay at a place downtown and be in the middle of traffic etc.This place is just as good but away from all the hustle but close enough to go where you need to go. Brian at he front desk was expecially helpful and good coversationalist.

The rooms were a great size and fit our family perfectly, including our doggie. The kitchenette is an added bonus. Our kids enjoyed the breakfast provided in the morning.

The staff here are so personable and they made sure everything was up to par for us. Breakfast was EXCELLENT and the place was super clean. The pool was very nice. The bar staff were super good at their job. We will be back.
