The actual stay was decent. Our room had a full kitchen, area for study, and ample space. The elevator would not work to lift from the first to the upper floors when we arrived, which meant I was carrying luggage farther than I'd planned. Having to walk past certain locations (ex. trash) may have been the reason for some of the less than pleasant smells in the hall, but the room was fine. My issue was with billing. When I arrived, I saw a notice that stated a $100 incidentals hold would be taken in addition to the hotel rate but returned about a week after checking out. This hold was not stated before I arrived for my reservation, which can affect a traveler's budget. I checked my bank account on the morning of check out to pay a bill and saw I'd been charged twice for my hotel stay, which caused my account to be overdrawn. I showed the clerk a screenshot with the double billing (withdrawn on two separate dates), was given a receipt, and told I need to contact my bank about why I had another hotel charge. After reaching out to a rep and sending a message to the hotel, I had to dispute the charge with my bank because no one from the hotel bothered to even acknowledge they had inconvenienced me for days due to the additional withdrawal.
