I had a great stay. Shannon was really helpful at check in and Joshua was great about calling ahead to the valet to have my car ready for me when I left. My only concern is that there are no steps into the pool and the ladders are really short, which can make it difficult to get in and out of the pool.

More of a business orientated property. Would not recommend for families as the area is surrounded by commercial buildings and not close to shops or restaurants. Rooms were average, property is massive so you have to walk far to get to your room. They sent us to the wrong room and then asked me to come down and get new keys which was ridiculous. Parking was the worst experience given they have this garage attached to the hotel but not run by the hotel and is old and extremely difficult to park your car in the tight spaces, especially if you have an SUV. The whole property is old and could use a massive update.

Convenient to downtown Brooklyn and w a 10 min commute to lower east side / SOHO by train. A major station is adjacent to the property. Also less than a 30 min Uber to Williamsburg etc. A big conference type property but nice amenities and spacious rooms. Also has underground parking at $60 per day.

Overall the ambiance was nice. The pool however was under maintenance for our entire stay which was a bummer because we specifically chose the hotel for the indoor pool. My wife and I did not like the bed or the pillows. Neither of us got a good night sleep.

There was no heat in our hotel room and it was 50° outside and 60° in our room. When we called to ask the staff about heat they were rude and argued with us that we didn’t need it to be any warmer. It took four phone calls for us to get extra blankets delivered. The bathroom was messy upon arrival they were hairs on the counter and stains.

Only good thing about this hotel is the location but it is absolutely not worth the money. Our pillows had blood stains on them!!! It took 6 hours one time to get fresh towels and also nobody cleaned our room when we were gone all day. Not worth your money.

The hotel is out dated for sure! We booked a suite, when we got there we were told it wasn’t ready. Ok. Then we were told that the water was contaminated so they gave us another larger suite. The bed was super uncomfortable, the rug was dirty, the bathroom was small and also dirty. There is a huge crack in the sink with mold. The pull out couch was a double at best with a mattress no thicker than 3 inches. My daughter woke up with a very sore back. If this room was supposedly a “top of the line” room for the hotel, then I would absolutely hate to see the other rooms. Even the employee at the front desk who was dealing with another person said this hotel is not up to date and is behind the times. Antiquated for sure! Stay elsewhere for comfort and cleanliness. I will say the staff that I dealt with were all very friendly, polite and helpful.

I have watched this particular property deteriorate over several years. I had my wedding reception here in 2003 when it was fairly new and very popular in the area. The location is very conveniently located, with access to mostly all subway lines, restaurants, shopping, tourist things, etc. However, the rooms.....every single time....the bathroom is not cleaned properly. Mold is ALWAYS on the shower head, in the corners where water drips, around the shampoo bottles. I paid over $1,500 for 2 nights and you mean to tell me I have to shower in a moldy tub??? Not only that, but they don't even give you complementary water for the room. It would also be nice to have at least nice amenities in the bathroom. Housekeeping does a horrible job with dusting.

We stayed in an executive double room The room was spacious with great views of the City. The shower & two sinks were perfect for our party of 3. The bed was comfortable, but the sleeper sofa was outdated. We didn't pull out the sofa as there weren't any bed linens for it.

The rooms were spacious, which I appreciated. However, I think they could use some updates and renovations, as they felt a bit outdated. The USB ports, for example, were still the old type, and it would be great if the newer USB outlets could be implemented. In the bathroom, the bathtubs are still in place with curtains, whereas I believe more modern solutions like sliding glass doors would be better. On the positive side, the breakfast options were good, and the staff were generally very friendly. I would especially like to thank Rosemary, the housekeeping staff, for her attentiveness and care. The location is excellent—many restaurants nearby and very central. Transportation is also very convenient, with a metro station and bus stops just about a one-minute walk away.

The hotel is quite roomy for a New York City hotel. When we checked in the WiFi didn’t work in our room. They moved us to another room but the reception/internet service was still poor. Other than that, it was a good stay and in an area that is accessible to restaurants and some shopping.

Very bad decor--the room was dark, with no wall light switches in the room, black carpet, drapes and a grey and black wall decor, big mirrors in front of the bed. It was hard to find the light switches on each individual light and I hit my shin against the mattress frame sticking out. The decor was like a bordello--not comfortable at all. No shower cap, robe, stirrer for your coffee, cheap towels and NO benefits at all for being a Bonvoy member! In fact, they billed me $30 for food I didn't eat, claiming I needed to spend this service fee by midnight. But the snack bar closed at 6pm, after I arrived. All night long, sirens wailed, trucks honked, motorcyles kept me awake in the street below. My room was on the third floor on a wide and busy entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge. I slept very badly and I will never stay here again. AND I want my $30 back.

When we first Arrived well after check in time the line was a mile long at the check in desk. We waited 45 minutes in line to check in. There were only 2 people working. The manger came out thanking us for our patience while standing in line. Why didn’t she get behind the desk and help out and start checking people in!!! Poorly run front desk. Our minors were so loud all night long partying!! Not the hotels fault but I called at 230am to complain and listen transported with them next door didn’t work. They were still so loud until 5am!!! So much for sleeping!!! And the $25 food credit was a joke. No Continental breakfast. Ridiculously long line at like a small confidence store area next to the bar. It has packaged “hot” scrambled eggs and bacon that looked less than appetizing. Then just yogurt and drinks to buy. At the check out which again was under staffed was two people. One filling coffee orders and the other ringing you up. So much for a restaurant to have breakfast in!! Definitely will not stay there again.

Still trying to wrap my head around a $30 a day destination fee to travel to New York City, I’ve never experienced that in my entire life for traveling and I’ve been to a lot of places. Also, once I was closing out, I was having no trouble reading the receipt and one of the gentleman that was checking me out was absolutely no help. He was irritated that I was asking he was verysarcastic about his remarks and I did not appreciate it after paying $750 for two nights total, and then getting there and having to pay another $81.90 no I was not happy.

We had two rooms and they were clean and next to each other. The morning cafe was efficient, clean, and delicious. Every teammate (from the front door to hotel rooms) at the hotel was pleasant, helpful, and made our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel for visiting both Brooklyn and Manhattan. We had events planned in FiDi and Williamsburg and could easily travel over the bridge for all events. Best Weekend.

Unfortunately, due to traffic, we arrived later than expected, and had tickets for a show. I was annoyed with myself because of this. Samatha, at the desk, saw my frustration and saud she’d make this the easiest check-in ever. And she did! She even arranged for a taxi to be waiting as soon as we were dressed and rest to go. Samantha was amazing. Thankyl you so much.

Overall the property was good - in terms of condition and cleanliness. When you first arrive there is a bit of a musky smell but got use to it after a while. I had a challenge where my son’s flight arrived hours before mine - so I had to change the name on the reservation so that he could check in. However Espedia apparently did not notify the hotel and the hotel would not honor the confirmation with my son’s name on it. It took hours to sort that out and the hotel staff just was not accommodating

The property is tired and needs renovations. The room was in need of upgrades. Amenities were limitled. One bar of soap for the entire room that included two lavatory areas and a tub shower. . The concierge breakfast was not good at all. Definitely not up to Marriott standards. I would not stay there again unless they implement improvements. .

I booked a King bed for a night pricing over $500. Upon check in we were placed in a downgraded room with two double beds! The rooms were as per the receptionist oversold. This has been the most terrible experience and I will never book another Marriott trip.

Nice place in direct proximity to Jay Street MetroTech subway station and Dumbo, Brooklyn Bridge, and Brooklyn Heights. Maybe not ideal for a first stay in New York, but if you want to explore a bit more (MTQ Museum, Barclays Center, Downtown Brooklyn in general or even take a longer stroll down 4th or 5th Avenue in Brooklyn (even Dyker Heights is walkable from here) this is a nice place to stay.

This is a great hotel, the staff is super nice, the room big and the cafe at the lobby has a great kitchen. At walking distance from Dumbo, subway station, restaurants and many shops. Definitely my family and me are coming back very soon.

After five days in this hotel, there were bad and good things to say. Bad: 1.\tKeycard door unlocking mechanism failed soon after arrival. Since we could not go out to eat since our coats were in the room and it took time to repair the lock, the hotel gave us a $50 credit which we used to eat dinner at the in-house Great Room Restaurant and Bar. 2.\tWe had to switch rooms after the second night due to truly excessive noise well after midnight from a neighboring room. We called the front desk who then called the neighbors requesting they quiet down and again called the front desk asking security be sent when the noise continued. Neither approach worked. Our request for a new room was quickly granted and there were no further noise issues. Hint: avoid shareable rooms as the door reduces soundproofing. Good: 1.\tThe staff we encounter (front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, security) were uniformly friendly, polite and helpful. 2.\tThe Great Room Restaurant and Bar hamburger was surprisingly good and it and the fries were cooked accurately (medium rare and crispy respectively). 3.\tThe $25 daily hotel credit on our Expedia reservation was sufficient for my wife and I to daily have a light breakfast (coffee and roll for me, coffee and fruit/granola parfait for her) at the in-house Brooklyn Pantry. Conclusions: There were issues but the hotel handled them well.

The room was fantastic, very comfy beds, very spacious, super clean, great bathroom and shower. The breakfast food is delicious. The only bad thing is they charge a daily $30 fee for food and beverages (that can only be used until noon) even if you don’t use it.

The room was comfortable and the location was great. We were not allowed to eat breakfast in the restaurant because we were not Marriott members, but take-out type food was provided. We were charged a destination fee with discounts on things like dry cleaning. We did not see the purpose of these fees as we did not want to use the items provided, except a food credit.

It was a very very nice hotel, staff was awesome. Whem ever I had a question or needed something I was always greated with a smile. Check in was easy. Even though I arrived two hrs early, the bell hop took out bags so we can wait and walk aroind the city. We only had to wait an hour for room. The only issue that I wasn't fond off was the long line for the panrty "breakfast line". I understand it was a busy time of the year, and that is was a major hoilday week. But I waited sometimes over 30mins just to get to the food, and another 20 just to be cashed out at the coffee "bistro stand". One morning we didnt get breakfast becuase the food ran out, or the kitchen was having a hard time to keep up with the influx of people waiting. That would be my only issue, but it was a busy week for Brooklyn and NYC anyways. Overall, i will definitely be staying at the Marriott by Brooklyn bridge again. The best part was it was a 15min walk to the bridge and another 30min walk to get to NYC. Again I was very pleased with our experience! Happy New Year 2025!
