Apanemo Hotel & Suites

Apanemo hotel is absolutely fantastic and we intend to return for another stay. The hotel's staff are genuinely friendly and nothing is too much trouble - they really add to your stay here (thank you Alexandra, Yota, Isabelle, Nick, Angelos, Spiros and Lucas!). We were made to feel at home immediately on arrival and provided with a welcome drink and informative chat on services and things to see and do (which the staff will happily arrange for you). Located in a quiet part of Santorini but with easy access to the rest of the island (the hotel offered very convenient transfer services also - including a free drop-off/pick up in the local village), it's a beautiful place and Apanemo has a very laid-back/relaxed feel. The nearby village of Akrotiri is very nice, and whilst small, it has all the necessaries (restaurants, Taverna, convenience stores etc). Our room was beautiful and the balcony had the most amazing view over the bay and volcano and the rest of the West coast of the island. The restaurant (also with beautiful views) offers lovely food and the breakfast is fantastic. If you're thinking of going to Santorini, this is the place to stay.

The views were to die for. Breakfast was fantastic with wonderful service. We were able to order off a menu the night before. They drove us into the town, Akrotiri any time. Very short drive. There are about 4 restaurants, a market, a couple shops and the bus stop. Bus goes to Fira, etc for 2 euro.

We'd split our September holiday between the Oia side of the island and Apanemo in Akrotiri to give us the opportunity to see as much of the island as possible. Finding the hotel is easy and they have a car park. It is impossible to give Apanemo less than five stars. The reason is that their staff are so nice and friendly and helpful. They are family friendly and kids were there laughing and playing in the beautiful infinity pools. This was the only time we saw kids enjoying Santorini as this is not an island that is generally suited to kids holidays. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with a drink and taken through the wonders of Santorini and possible things to do, boat trips, wine tours, etc. Reception can help with taking you to the local area for free, and further afar for a fee. We used this to go to and from Akrotiri restaurants, the bus stop and a night out to Fira. Buses from Akrotiri cost 2€ a person and highly recommended to get around, though the last bus back from Fira is 9pm in September. It was very easy to get around in our hired car and using What3Words on the island is a great way to navigate. We ate in the restaurant and their food and drink was excellent with large portions. The breakfasts were all lovely and we recommend all the options. The rooms were more of a small house, it was an excellent size and we had booked the Traditional Suite, Balcony, Sea View (& Garden view). Great views of the caldera. Convenient for great beaches.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We decided to stay in Akrotiri instead of Oil/Fira to get away from the cruise ships and large crowds and we are so glad we did. From the moment you arrive at the hotel, the staff makes you feel welcome and it feels like paradise. The property was so beautiful that it was hard to leave each day. It is about a 10 minute walk to Akrotiri village, however they do complimentary transports until 11pm. Plus, they will organize transfers to any part of the island (I believe it was $50 to Oia each way). It was so nice to not have to worry about calling a taxi or having enough cash! The staff was absolutely wonderful and did all they could to make our stay wonderful. Plus, the free breakfast was delicious and you choose what you will like to eat each evening. If you are heading to Santorini, you must stay here!

Apanemo hotel in Akrotiri is beautifully designed, clean, and has a gorgeous view of the Caldera. It is a welcome relief to be out of the tourist thick areas of Oia and Fira. Fira is just 15 minutes away by car if you want to explore, eat, or shop. These places get really packed with 10’s of thousands of cruise ship passengers daily. The south shore of Akrotiri is mostly removed from the hustle and bustle and has many interesting places to check out. The staff at Apanemo were super friendly and good food is served there. We loved our room and spacious deck which had a view to die for. The pool is picture perfect. Though it was a bit cool and windy this year in mid May as the summer warms up that could be a relief. I will remember this hotel as one of the cutest and most picturesque ofany I have stayed in.

Our stay was perfect. We felt so welcomed by the amazing team! Our room was clean and decorated beautifully. The highlight was the views in every direction and the amazing endless pool. The breakfast was excellent! We had a car rental and having a place to park was great with such a short distance to the most spectacular views, beaches and restaurants. FIVE STARS!

We loved our time at Apanemo. We loved the beautiful view from our room framed by the lovely green leaves and pink flowers. The breakfast which we ordered the day before was just perfect and the level of service was second to none. We really appreciated the free taxi service to and from Akrotiri village and using WhatsApp to chat with reception at any time during the day to make requests and book restaurants. The only slightly negative points would be the lack of good lunch and dinner options and the temperature of the swimming pools.

There were ants in my room and in the beds. They charge a lot of taxes at the checkout.

The place is wonderful it has a good view the sunset is very beautiful from that place it is very quiet and the beaches are close to the place. The breakfast is very good. The people are very friendly, always the room is very clean, everything

Angeline and the entire staff at Apanemo is wonderful. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The view from the property is breathtaking. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained - it’s immaculate. We stayed at Apanemo 4 days and look forward to going back, it’s a 10 out of 10!!

We liked that it was away from the crowds and the rooms were very unique and quiet. The staff were very helpful and nice. We do think there needs to be more parking as we had to park on the street most nights. The cleaning staff left our floors dirty everyday. We would get into bed and our feet were dirty. The sheets were extremely moist and damp every day. This needs to be fixed somehow.

Amazing spot. Front desk people are awesome. Room cleaners would not replace towels and bathrobes after very long runs and re hung them despite them on the floor , then on the floor next to the front door. Then asking twice. It was possibly a tip thing. Vodka. I’ve never ever seen dirty things re hung. The sheets were changed once and the floors swept once. I hate Sandy sheets. Also eat anywhere else vl

I had a very unpleasant stay at your hotel, and I must say it was the worst accommodation I have ever experienced. I will never stay here again. The bathroom and toilet had no ventilation, were full of mold, and smelled terrible. The pool was slimy with moss, making it unhygienic and unpleasant to use. There were no slippers provided among the amenities. The staff’s attitude was also unacceptable. After I refused to join the cruise tour you were promoting, the staff became extremely rude and even ignored me at times. The damp sheets made it difficult to sleep, and although I had hoped for proper cleaning service, the room was hardly cleaned at all. Only the towels and water were replenished, which was extremely disappointing. Overall, this was an unacceptable experience, and I strongly urge you to improve your facilities and staff training.

I don’t often review things or places but this is one time I have come away from somewhere and just can-not leave a review. From the day we arrived we were treated like we were the only guest they had (obviously we were not). Apanemo is immaculately presented. The Suites are furnished perfectly. Our pool was amazing along with the shared pool. The food was brilliant. Staff second to none and would do as much as they can for you - from advice to a lift into town and booking trips making sure we had the best time. Our room was cleaned everyday and turned down every night. Can’t wait to come back!

Our honeymoon at Apanemo Hotel & Suites in Santorini was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles, heartfelt congratulations, and a level of hospitality that made us feel incredibly special. The View: Waking up to panoramic views of the caldera every morning felt like living inside a postcard. The Room: Our suite was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated in Cycladic style, complete with a plunge pool where we toasted with local wine under the stars. It was the perfect romantic hideaway.

Ignore the star rating, this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We selected the hotel based on the quality of the reviews and they are all justified. It is a beautiful hotel perched on the hillside over looking the Caldera and the whole island. The view is stunning. The hotel has great staff who are extremely helpful and friendly, and the rooms are comfortable, well equipped and from what we could see all have amazing views. It is not for those who want to be in the ‘thick of it’, although it is an oasis of calm compared to overcrowded tourist hotspots of Fira and Oia. The staff will take you by car (and pick you up) to local restaurants, although it is only a 15 minute picturesque walk to the centre Akrotiri (although is a bit of climb on the way back). Brilliant hotel we will come back, thank you for a wonderful stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. We had the 1 bedroom villa which was a very short walk to reception. Everyone was exceptional & our views from the villa were amazing!!!

Amazing staff all round. We had a couple of misfortunes during our stay (nothing to do with the accommodation) and the staff we nothing but exceptional. The room had the most amazing view of the sunrise. We would definitely recommend staying here and may do so again.

Hotel é bacana, mas esperava mais. Suites com piscina particular onde ficamos são afastadas do hotel principal e localização delas decepcionou um pouco pela redondeza. Ao nosso lado tinha terreno baldio com criação de galinhas ao lado. Pelo custo benefício, não compensou a suíte com Piscina privativa. Café da manhã muito bom, quarto bom, apenas travesseiros pouco confortáveis. Equipe super prestativa.

The Apanemo Hotel is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at! The facility is specular and pictures don’t do the property justice! It is absolutely beautiful. The staff was phenomenal! From being extremely attentive to going above and beyond to make sure our stay in Santorini was one to remember. Don’t hesitate to book this hotel! I’m already looking forward to returning because of how wonderful of a stay I had.

Where do I even begin? These incredible people went above and beyond anything I could have imagined. Even before our arrival, they reached out to arrange our airport pickup. They were there right on time, welcoming us with warmth and taking the time to share everything from the must see local sights to the bus routes and schedules. They even offer a complimentary shuttle to the nearby village. And surprised us with a beautiful bouquet of balloons and wine for my daughter’s birthday. Throughout our stay, they were always attentive, anticipating our needs before we even asked. The food? Absolutely outstanding..fresh, local, and truly the best we’ve ever had. The rooms and views are nothing short of breathtaking..honestly, the best on the entire island. But what truly sets this place apart is the people. You’re not treated like just another guest, you’re welcomed like family. From Lia, Evelyn, Dimitri, Vaggelis to the owner himself and the amazing kitchen team, to every single person who works behind the scenes, each one played a part in making our stay unforgettable. And then there’s Isabelle… our ‘island mom’ She’s the heart of the place making everyone laugh, lifting spirits, and caring for you like you’re one of her own. She has a heart as big as her smile. I simply can’t say enough about this place and its people. Thank you beyond words for giving us memories we’ll treasure forever. We will absolutely be back. Lots of love from Canada ♥️

From the moment we stepped on the property we were greeted with the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced. Staff was extremely helpful and caring, they took care of all our needs, were extremely friendly, and the staff really made us feel like we were family.

The most redeeming quality of this hotel is its staff. And I mean all the staff. Front desk, bellmen, maids, wait staff and kitchen. You can tell they enjoy working there and enjoy each other. Very informative on sites and places to eat. They enjoy relating to you, genuinely. The only place I will stay if I return to Santorini. Love you guys 👍❤️

Oia is popular in Santorini, but is excessively crowded. Apanemo locates opposite side of Oia in Santorini, where you can enjoy quiet beautiful sunset as well as the second largest caldera of the world from your room!

The hotel and its view of the island were incredible. The staff were outstanding. I would definitely stay here again. It is far away from some of the main areas of the island so I would advise renting a car if you stay at this property. It takes about 30 minutes to travel to some of the more happening tourist areas from this hotel.

Excellent stay at Apanemo, which is not far from Akrotiri, a town away from the main tourist areas of Fira and Oia, and is quieter and more chilled. Exceptionally welcoming staff and room was fantastic with great sea views. Look forward to going back and exploring the rest of the island more.

The Apanemo hotel was on the quieter south side of the island. The view of the Caldera from our room was spectacular. The staff was extremely friendly and the included breakfast was delicious with many choices available. Don’t miss the ruins and the beach at Akroteri which are close by. There’s a boat service at the beach for €15 round-trip per person that will take you to the white beach, the red beach and the black beach and you can get out and swim and rent loungers and umbrellas for five euros per person and they will come back every hour or so to pick you up. We preferred the white beach because it had a sandy . We also rented a car for €50 a day and made our way easily around the whole island using navigation on our phone.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views in a quiet area of the island. The staff was friendly and attentive and were able to easily arrage transportation services. The bar drinks were amazing. The restaurant served delicious meals. Everything was top and we will be back!

I cannot give this hotel high enough praise. The room was absolutely beautiful. We had a full view of the ocean. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The food was scrumptious. The free breakfast was not the usual reconstituted eggs, and cold sausage. It was an actual meal. I cannot say enough about this place. They do provide shuttle service. They go to some areas free. They charge for other areas. They are very accommodating. We really enjoyed the restaurant. One night that we were there the staff was dancing to us. We wish that we had been able to stay here for longer. Out of all of the places I have been during this holiday seven countries this hotel and experience was the best!

Dining experience was great, the food was mediocre. Hot water in the shower only lasted 2 minutes maybe. Not ideal for two showers to be taken back to back. Property staff was friendly, amazing views.
