Couples massages in a beautiful ocean front room with the ocean crashing in the distance, absolutely breathtaking! Full day at the spa and a quiet pool with good food and kind happy waiters makes the trip more enjoyable! Will definitely be back! 10 out if 10

Breezy, amazing views, great music, so many venues in the resort - truly something for everyone. Loved the terrace, the nightly bands, the vistas, even the morning coffee felt like a treat- loved Nelson’s and the adult pool and the trails. Looking forward to returning

Palos Verdes and Terranea are beautiful. We dined at all the restaurants…our favorite was the seafood extravaganza at the Kitchen. Totally worth it. Service everywhere was excellent…including the pools. Our favorite quiet relaxing pool was Vista. The spa pool has healthy bites and drinks. The adult pool has the best view of the ocean. We tried a few fitness classes…our favorite was yoga. We also used their gym…nice size with well equipped machines and weights. You must do the seaside trail walk…it’s gorgeous and picturesque. The sunsets are best captured at the Nelsen’s. We saw pods of dophins near the shore. My only complaints are the expensive nightly parking fee of $67/night. Unreasonable. The maid service was good but they threw away a few of our items…including the valet ticket, but you don’t really need it. Other than that, we enjoyed most everything. Oh! And the nightly live music was amazing. Looked forward to each different daily musician.

Resort is beautiful with lots of options for food. Double beds in room (not Queen) made it a little tight for a full family. Parking charge of $72/night is absurd. Fourth of July event was overpriced and drone show was hidden behind a building. Overall everything is a little too spendy ($95 buffet, $90 golf) but the resort is so beautiful that it's still a lovely time.

Absolutely incredible stay at Terranea. THE STAFF! You all are the sweetest most professional happy people who go above and beyond for your guests!! Thank you!! The actual resort was incredible too. Clean. Quiet (weekday). Peaceful. Pools upon pools. Activities. I get to pet an owl, yall. Fitness center was immaculate. Lovely stay and will be back.

Everything was super nice. Room looked new. Nice pillows and sheets. Nice towels and carpet. Incredible location, landscaping and scenery. Very relaxing. Please clean up 21 pool in evening and ensure at least a few towels are available for morning swimmers.

Everything was amazing except the sound of the AC next door. They had the AC on all night long, so the noise was something that I was not satisfied. However, the cleanliness of the hotel and comfort was great. Staffs were all friendly. And, we enjoyed the Crabby Sunday meal!

Had the impression that decorating needed to be refreshed. Also noticed some failures to clean exteriors. The same leaves and twigs were on the deck the entire stay and the exterior indicated a lack of maintenance. There was a 10-15 foot long rust stain on an exterior wall below a pipe.

We really wanted to like this hotel, but unfortunately our stay was disappointing. We visited over Labor Day weekend, and it was extremely crowded. We arrived around 1 p.m., but because the hotel was fully booked, we couldn’t check in until around 4:30 p.m. When we finally got into our room, it wasn’t as clean as we expected and there was a noticeable odor. We called the front desk, but since they were at full capacity, no room change was possible. The view, however, was beautiful—that was one of the highlights. That evening, we tried to dine at the hotel restaurants around 6 p.m., only to find there was no availability for the night. We ended up having to go off property for dinner. When we returned, the odor in the room was still present, but we were too tired to deal with it further. The next day, our kids were excited to swim, but the pool was overcrowded and, unfortunately, very dirty. There was hair floating around and the water looked cloudy, likely from sunscreen. We hope this was just due to the busy holiday weekend and not the hotel’s usual standard, but overall, we left feeling disappointed.

Information about the property was never properly noted to me. The housekeeping staff did not thoroughly clean my room. The same debris remained on the bathroom floor throughout my stay. The glasses were not washed. I feel the resort fee additional to my room rate was outrageous since I never used any facility on the property.

Room was unclean- toiletries lacking, no lotion, body wash and shampoo almost empty. Bed was unkempt when we first checked into the room. Bed frame and room table had marks from spilt fluids that weren’t even cleaned. I have been coming to Terranea for short getaways for a few years now but this is the worst I have ever experienced. It took more than 30 minutes for our luggages to be brought into the room despite notifying front desk that we have an appointment that we are trying to make. I have recommended Terranea to a lot of my friends but now I no longer feel confident sending any of my family and friends here

Disappointed. The room itself seemed old with small beds, we were 3 friends staying in a 2-bed room that seemed like it had 2 full sized mattresses, not queen like most other places; they also wouldn’t provide a rollaway bed bc of the type of room we were in, so it just felt uncomfortable. Not to mention the bathroom doors aren’t functional (open slats, toilet had a shower-like glass door, limited privacy). The spa itself was also a mess! I’ve done my fair share of spa. For terranea’s spa prices, this was pure disappointment. Not enough lockers, attendants didn’t know what lockers were used/not, didn’t provide us with robes until I asked, didn’t go over the locker code process, place was unkept (toilet areas dirty/messy), it seemed overbooked so most amenities were full, it was hard to get into a sauna or jacuzzi. There weren’t enough hooks to hang your robe so people were holding their robes while going into a sauna. They were stuffing people into the small amusemenent-park lockers which ended up being a cluster when trying to get your things.

I stay here all the time. I love the resort. However, room was not available until almost 5pm, I had requested a room close to elevator as I am 9 months pregnant and instead was given the room furthest from the elevator, room was handicap accessible, very partial ocean view, and TV was not working properly. Also, the main deck is closed for construction and not listed when booking.

Stunning location. Beautiful property. Rooms need updating considering cost to stay. Lots of “little things” not taken care of that would be easy fixes. They seemed pretty understaffed. Will likely return for the unbeatable views.

Didn’t get any benefit. No early check in . No late check out. No upgrade. Had a $2500/ night suite. Dirty carpets. Oven didn’t work. Some one in our parking spot. Ridiculous.

Solid stay. was put in a Bungalo room after realizing my reservation was for an accessible rtoom. The Bungalo was spacious but very tired - TV was small and the remote didnt work, furniture was dated. Nothing 5 star about that room. The rest of the property was nice - gym and pool areas, lots of dining options, etc.

We received a room that was just off the lobby and it was incredibly noisy and loud. On the second day, they also started construction on the bathroom above our room. And the restaurants and valet were very understaffed. We love this place but our experience this time was only okay and at times very trying.

I recently stayed at this resort with my family, expecting a seamless luxury experience. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by a very disappointing encounter with the valet team. My car arrived much later than expected, and instead of offering assistance, the valet was disrespectful and escalated the situation. This was especially upsetting as I was waiting with my two children, one of whom is just 1 year old, for over 15 minutes. For a valet-only luxury resort, this behavior is not acceptable. To her credit, the Guest Services Manager approached us, apologized sincerely, and acknowledged that this was not reflective of their usual valet service. However, first impressions matter greatly, and this experience fell short of the high standards one would expect from a resort of this caliber.

This is an exceptional property - in the top 5 we’ve stayed at world wide. The entertainment is top notch. The one negative is that the pools were overrun with people. That wasn’t really a big deal, but they had one guy trying to wait on all of the people around one pool (over 100 people). So our first drink took 35 minutes, our second drink took 40 minutes, and our third drink took 45. We just decided to leave, and we would’ve hung out longer had been decent service. It wasn’t this guy‘s fault, it was just an incredible lack of staffing.

Went during July 4 four-day weekend, which may have caused the reasons for our experience. Very long line to check in and check out, room wasn’t serviced until after 6 PM and I had to call to request to confirm, room service took on average 1.5 hours to arrive and order was not always correct.

We are local, but I always try to go to Terranea when we can. The grounds and ocean views or second to none. Food is as you would expect, hotel/resort. The cocktails are a stand out.

I used the walking paths and trails a lot and they were always in perfect condition. I felt very safe by myself. The staff was always very kind and respectful. I will definitely come again. Thank you for taking care of me!

This resort is absolutely gorgeous. I celebrated my birthday here and it was magical. The staff was so attentive, friendly, beautiful and diverse. The spa was amazing and worth every penny. The food was delicious. We at all four restaurants and didn’t have a bad meal once. Our favorite was Mar’sel! Chris, our waiter, was a riot! And all of his recommendations we had and they did not disappoint. Marco and Ryan at the Lobby Bar were amazing! Cassy at the adult pool was so sweet and accommodating. Mota and Lina at Catalina was so gracious and took good care of us. James at Bashi was the coolest! His demeanor was so warm and pleasant, he also had great recommendations that did not disappoint. I really enjoyed my stay and I cannot wait to come back!

Very accommodating and the staff was very attentive and helped with every request we had while staying at the Terenea Resort. There was a slight issue while checking out and attempting to use a gift-card for the services used/attended during our stay. But the staff worked to address the issues and worked with us to make sure that it was handled. Overall, the dining options, Bashi and Catalina Kitchen, and the Sea Beans coffee shop were all very nice and had great food and service.

The hotel was beautiful and the view was gorgeous! We especially loved walking down to the ocean from the hotel. I was disappointed in a few things such as the long wait (over an hour and a half) to be seated and served for dinner at Nelson’s, the lack of soap in the shower, and no pool service at the adults only pool. For such an expensive vacation, I expected better service overall.

One night is never enough… but so glad we had the chance to catch up with old friends for dinner at Bashi, enjoy some time at the pool and finish off our stay with the spectacular Catalina Kitchen Sunday brunch.

Overall if was very good and relaxing . The only issue is the service that is unreliable meaning not uncommonly your request for a service is fotgotten . Also in Catalina Kitchen restaurant the service is provided by non/ professional staff that has made it suboptimal . However overall it was a very good stay.

Stayed in the bungalow which was a lovely location with a great view. However somehow the gratuity on one of our receipts at the family pool was changed without our knowledge, which we find to be totally unacceptable. At check out hotel tried to claim that they automatically charge 18% on every receipt, but the hotel needs to be transparent on any automatically applied gratuity on receipts which it wasn’t in this case. Lastly, yesterday I was served undercooked rubbery chicken at the Catalina kitchen which the staff were just as appalled about as I was. Now dealing with the beginning symptoms of food poisoning, how severe that will become I do not know. Very disappointing overall.

We loved our stay. the only thing that we would suggest is that the staff is all on the same page in regards to rules. we were told one thing at the baggage desk and another at the pool as well as when we checked out. we were told we couldn't initially and then the front desk said it was no problem. Lastly, the $85 buffet wasn't worth the money in our opinion and should have at least offered complimentary mimosas or bloody mary's.
