It was a nice stay! Especially the inside pool but the fire pit did not work and the hot tub was not hot. Our bedroom tv did not work properly so they did move us and the room they moved us to the front tv did not work lol but they handled the situation so I can not complain

The hot tub was cold, the lounge chairs had no cushions on them, the fire pit area had no cushions on the seats so that you could sit and enjoy yourself. if you wanted them you had to ask for them. the bed was very uncomfortable for it to be a one room suite. you would think if you're going to pay a money for the suite that you would have a very comfortable bed. the hallways were extremely hot. the air was not turned on in the hallways. when you got off the elevator it was extremely hot. the breakfast was overpriced. we went there to relax for the weekend and it was not accommodating at all.

The pool was closed and the fire pits were not on. I would recommend calling first before booking.

No airport shuttle available after 11 pm and that is not clear from expedia site . that was one of the main reasons I chose this property and paid extra. i ended up needing an uber with 30 minulte wait

The only reason I choose this place was because of the indoor pool and spa. When I got to the hotel I learned it’s hot tub was out of service and the pool was not clean, it had scum and rust around the edges. The doors to the outside seating area were cabled shut, the inside did not have any where to sit, all the cushions were bagged up in trash bags and the pool room was cold, mostly caused from the exterior doors being opened and could not be closed all the way. If you’re wanting to stay in a hotel to enjoy the pool and hot tub please do not choose this one definitely very disappointed in not letting me know before I checked in about the very thing that I came to enjoy would not recommend staying here for this reason.

The parking lot needs to be updated. It looks as it hasn't been maintained in over 20yrs. The near by trash facility grounds shouldnt look better the hotels grounds. Parking lot needs a major overhaul.

The parking lot and front entrance are under construction. There’s also a consistent leak from the air conditioning unit in the gym out of the ceiling that reoccurs every other day.

The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was the same temperature as the pool and there were no cushions on the metal loungers at the pool. 😟 Was also surprised that there was no microwave in the room. The chocolate, walnut cookies are amazing!

This is a fine place to stay overnight and very close to the hotel. The only inconvenience was that the airport shuttle didn’t start until 5 AM and flight to the airport takeoff starting at 6:30.

Check in was easy. Our room was clean & comfortable. We booked a room w/a queen pull out, however it was a double. Putting on the linens, the mattress pad was too small & sheets were too big. We used the pool & hot tub which both looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in quite some time (scum on the sides of the pool & hot tub). Back to the room to take showers, & there was absolutely no cold water at all. The shower was scalding hot! I like a hot shower, but this wasn't bearable. We ate dinner at the restaurant that was part of the hotel. There was only 1 person working the bar & restaurant area. So, service was extremely slow (not the fault of the server). The server was extremely friendly & helpful (they should have had an extra person there to help him). We had very low expectations, but were pleasantly surprised that the food was as good as it was. Got back to the room & contacted the front desk about the scalding hot water. They sent someone up who told us there wasn't anything he could do & would have to wait til tomorrow for a plumber. He offered another room & advised us to go to the front desk for the key. We didn't bother as we were all ready for bed. Next day toilets weren’t flushing at all (in the room or the common area bathrooms). At checkout I advised the front desk of the issues, he said he would have a manager contact me. I still haven’t received a call (our stay was 1 week ago today). Not at all what we expected from a Hilton.

I would not recommend this hotel due to unacceptable cleanliness standards. During my stay, I was given bedding that was visibly stained and in a condition no guest should ever be expected to use. I experienced irritation after coming in contact with these covers, and when I raised the issue with management, my concerns were dismissed and even misquoted in their response. Rather than taking accountability, the manager was very rude and refused to provide a copy of incident report. I also have photographic evidence of the bedding, which speaks for itself. Hotels have a basic responsibility to provide clean and sanitary accommodations, and this property failed to meet even the most fundamental expectation. Guests deserve better.

Room was clean. Staff was polite very close to where I needed to be.

The hotel was not clean. The fridge in our room had broken and there was a large puddle of water (I think it was water) in the room upon check in. Granted we checked in very late in the day and I don't there there was many staff available but we were handed towels and told to clean up the room ourselves. Also, there was no cold water, only extremely hot water, coming out of the bathroom faucet.

Rooms have hard surface versus carpet. Felt cleaner.

The beds were made with dirty sheets and there were ants in the bathroom. I’ve stayed at MANY DoubleTree hotels, but this has to be the dirtiest one ever. The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating, but this was a horrible experience.

This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever checked into and wasted a three day reservation by walking out that’s how bad it was. The bathroom was falling apart. When we walked in there were roaches in the room. It smelled really bad. It was dark dingy. I went right back downstairs and checked out immediately and went to another hotel same night. What a waste of my money and I was told that I can’t get my money back so they expected me to stay in a room that had a ceiling caving in the bathroom and roaches running around I think not.

I stayed at the DoubleTree recently and it was honestly one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve ever been in. Everything was spotless, fresh, and didn’t have that musty smell you sometimes get in hotels. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I truly felt comfortable and cared for during my stay. Highly recommend this location!

Room was decent, two of the three lamps in the room did not work. Cracked tile in the bathroom.

One of the worst nights of sleep I have ever had at a hotel. The AC unit in the room struggled to keep the room at a decent temperature. The main building hallways and lobby were extremely hot. The walls are paper thin - you can hear everything from hallway, lobby, outside and your neighbors next to, above and below you. It was so bad I had to turn on the bathroom fam, put towels along bottom of door into room to try to drown out the noise. I was also quite disappointed when I completed online check in requesting a specific room and digital key to only have to check in when digital key wouldn’t load. Then I was given a completely different room than I had requested. The kicker was I literally stood at the front desk for several minutes before the employee decided to even loon at me, then never acknowledged the digital key issue nor did he acknowledge he was giving me a completely different room than I had checked into online. When I brought it up he said “oh, do you want a cookie?”

The hotel was clean, staff was professional, beds comfortable and bathroom was great. The only issue we had was the noise of the air conditioner right next to the bed. It sounded like a plane was landing/taking off all night.

The hotel was clean. Spacious I got the suite and was perfect for our family trip.

Great location but the WiFi was terrible. I had to go to another location to work. It kept kicking me out!

The only downside was the ac was blowing from one side only and didn’t cool The room at all

Big rooms clean and quiet

The bed was so uncomfortable, I didn’t sleep either night. Neither did my other guest. We didn’t get our check-in cookie either :( Biggest thing was, I always get a room with the bed in a separate room. And every hotel I’ve ever had, had an AC unit in EACH sleeping area. This had one A/C for the whole room so when the door was shut for privacy. The temperate got too hot to sleep. Just a little crazy for the to expect one unit to cool both sleeping areas.

Surprised at how modern , clean the room and bathroom is. Very modern and very spacious. Lobby really unique and pool and gym very nice. Outdoor area nice with fire pit

David Alexander went above and beyond to accommodate my family and I during my stay. Very grateful to be in the company of someone that puts customer service first.

Staff is extremely rude! Very nice surprise of the building being under major construction with out letting you know at time of booking. When I said anything about it to hotels.com the front desk then called the room and yelled and threatened us. This made my wife and I fell extremely uncomfortable and scared for our safety. The man at the front desk that yelled and threatened us was Davion he is someone I will never deal with again. Also the bath tub was disgusting and the fixtures were falling off the walls. The air conditioner had a loud banging sound. See the pictures of the construction we were woken up to first thing in the morning that went on all day. Do yourself a favor and stay at another hotel.

I came in from a long day. It was about 12:15 a.m. and of course all I wanted to do was shower and go to sleep. While washing my face which took a little longer than at regular because I had to wait for the water to go down in the sink, I heard dripping coming from the shower. There was water flowing out of the light fixture in the shower. To me electricity and water does not mix. Concerned that there may be a safety issue I called the front desk and reported it and asked what were my options and was it safe for me to go ahead and shower. The front desk person who I do not believe is a maintenance person said that it was no safety issue and the alternative was for me to just wait for it to stop dripping. Not, we can provide someplace else to shower if you feel unsafe or will send a maintenance person to check it out. He did not at all seem concerned so I asked him if this was a normal occurrence and he said no but the alternative was to wait for it to stop. I checked out later that day and ask the front desk person at that time if customer concerns were documented as I handed her my key. She said what is a concern? I explained to her what happened and apparently it had not been documented, she wrote it down, and said she would tell maintenance about it and that was it.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were traveling with a toddler and really needed an early check in. Clarenece was wonderful to work on that for us and even took our phone number so he could call us when our room was ready. The accommodations were clean and met our needs perfectly. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant and bar which had good food at a reasonable price. We also spent time in the hotel's pool and hot tub. These were adequate but could use some updating. The indoor pool area opened up to an outside sitting area which was beautiful. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is conveniently located about a 5 minute drive to the SRQ airport. The gentleman at the front desk was short with us, not welcoming at all or courteous and seemed bothered which made the checking in experience a poor one.

Staff greeted us super friendly and professional…very accommodating.

Excellent stay. Desk staff was very professional, nice, polite and courteous.

I have stayed twice now and enjoy the location and property however I have requested a call back from management and have yet to receive from my first visit. This visit I reported that my bed was broken and another room was not offered as late staff wasn’t available to accommodate. As I was leaving I inquired with on duty staff and was advised I would be receiving a full refund and have yet to get anything. Also I am still waiting on a refund from 2 weeks prior to this stay. Nice location but the customer service aspect needs work!

Location is nice next to the airport and 19 minutes away to Lido beach and 25 minutes away to longboat key beach. Staff are nice!

Cute and convenient airport hotel. Not walkable to anything, but had an airport shuttle and Ubers were easy to find. Each staff member I met was fabulous and helpful. My room was very clean and I’m always happy to find a hotel room with no carpet. For an airport hotel it was very quiet.

Great hotel for the price. It’s conveniently located near downtown Sarasota.

Check in was smooth and staff was very accommodating putting our family together and giving us a few extra cookies for the kiddos. Really nice hotel right across from the airport.

Overnight stay on the way to the airport. Hotel is very nice & clean. We had a really good dinner in the restaurant. Room was spacious, bed comfy!

The hotel staff was great, and so were the complimentary cookies. Unfortunately, the hotel was burning up. The lobby, elevator and hallways had to be about 80 degrees. The room itself was significantly cooler but not cold enough to combat the harsh heat from the hallway. The 5th floor did not have a working ice machine or any vending machines. The breakfast buffet and lunch/dinner menu need to be revamped. The dining area was full of flies during my entire stay. The food lacked flavor, and the pancakes were burnt and dry. This was the worst dining experience that I've ever had at a hotel. In addition to flies all over the dining room, they were crowding the hotel entrance and lobby sitting area.

Everything ok but the bar. Hotel bar closes at 9pm. And nothing really close to go have a drink elsewhere.

The sitting area on the 1st floor was humid the air conditioner wasn't on or wasn't working. There were ants in room 213. I can't believe you guys doesn't offer the guest free continental breakfast. Instead of a $20 breakfast buffet.

We flew in for a quick two nights and this was convenient and nice so we booked it. The staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast at the restaurant was great! Compton was awesome!

Great stay. Felt mislead by the breakfast as did many other customers who came to eat. At check-in, they told me the time for breakfast, not mentioning that there was a fee. I went down to eat assuming it was included, yet they charged me $20 for a few slices of bacon.

Only thing that was a down fall was the breakfast Buffett that was not free but we received vouchers for it when we checked in. The food provided should be free to guests and certainly not worth $20 per person. Other than that the hotel was very nice, clean, comfortable and the front desk was very friendly and accommodating.

Great service and hospitality! Food at the restaurant did not disappoint. And the prices on the menue were reasonable. And the quantity was above normal. I would definitely recommend!

Liked the hotel , was disappointed the bar closed by 900 pm on Saturday night
