It’s a very busy hotel especially during summer and during Hollywood Bowl events. Overall the property is clean and the staff, are all so sweet and helpful. The one thing I had an issue with, was the fact that the hotel has a nice pool area but not enough chairs to lay or sit at and they have a lot of open space and it’s summertime and so many people were at the pool and had nowhere to sit so a lot of people were leaving or putting towels on the ground to try n tan but who wants to lay on hot cement with a thin towel? Not us!! They refused to put more out so I left. By the time they got back to me (next day) I had checked out, but regardless of that, I enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay again on my return to Hollywood

You could not use a cart for luggage and therefore had to use a bellman. We had no cash and got a bit of static about it. Parking is in the mall across the street. Once we parked in designated area (self parking) we had to navigate to find hotel lobby which took over 20 minutes. The room is fine but bland.

There were shops in the attached mall. Parking available for $25 in the shopping mall, but no in-and-out privileges. The front desk staff was very professional and accommodating. The pool was outdoors and quite cold. The overall ambience of the hotel was very nice. Room was comfortable and good water pressure. Good location--many restaurants next door in mall and walking distance to metro station. Would stay here again.

Destination fee rip-off. They also charged me for 1 minibar water ($30!) when I didn’t even touch it. Pool closed for private event and Lowe’s wouldn’t even give me any credit toward the enormous destination/resort fees. They said I could use another hotel pool, but I wanted to enjoy the pool at the location I was staying in- That’s why I booked the room in the first place. I did not want to have to walk down the stinky street in my pool attire. I’ll never stay here again, I’ve stayed multiple times but it just keeps getting worse. Rude front desk manager -he will talk over you and get in your face. They did not recognize my platinum status upon check-in. I had to ask for a room upgrade. They also failed to give me my dining credit. It was almost like I was bothering them to stay at this hotel. Truly an awful experience!! If you go through Expedia (which I love) don’t stay here.

Great stay . Have to come to lobby to pick up door dash. Been there on different floors several times and ice machine always out without any notice or concern. Notified front desk, in room dining, & vip desk. Received no apology or fix. Also impossible to get tray retrieved. Must lug heavy tray to place outside door. A lot of pluses including location. But now that I have recalled all these missteps, I should reassess my rating. lol.

Excellent location. Right next to the Hollywood walk of fame, Chinese Theater, Dolby Theater, eateries, and tour buses. Excellent gym with adequate equipment. Download the Waymo app for a driverless experience with AI. It was cheaper than Uber and Lift.

We had a cockroach in our first room (waited an hour and had to call multiple times before someone came, then moving our stuff took another half hour so we were nearly late for our dinner reservation) which we paid for a city skyline view, they moved us to the 10th floor looking toward the hollywood sign but we were placed at the very end of the hotel furthest from the sign so in reality we got to see a hill and some ugly backstreets. (It was a bigger room but when all you do is sleep there the size means nothing). Service phones dont work if more than 1 person is calling.so during.peak hours you have to keep dialing for 30 minutes until you get through. Valet's phone goes to voicemail, othwrwise staff was nice

The rooms are small and neglected. The floors are carpeted and smelly. The windows in the room don't open; only the air conditioning works. The furniture is worn. The extra bed they paid for was so bad. I told the receptionist, they didn't believe me. I called the manager to the room to see for himself. Then they replaced it with a slightly better bed. We booked the room for three people, but breakfast for our kid charged extra. Location is not safe at night.

It is right in the middle of Hollywood. Lots of chaos as well as unwanted area visitors. The hotel staff are great. The hotel is a bit old and outdated with a distinct stench.

The room was very spacious and beautiful and definitely had potential, but several issues impacted our stay. The light fixtures in the restroom were crooked, and the vanity light didn’t work at all. The AC didn’t get cold, so we ended up sleeping in a warm room, which made things uncomfortable. The mini fridge wasn’t working properly, we had to unplug & plug it back in to get it running, and still had to buy fresh drinks in the morning. Some outlets in the room didn’t work, which was frustrating. On top of that, we were given the room farthest from the elevator, which was a pain after walking all day at the amusement park. It was late and we were all exhausted, so we didn’t bother to bring any of these issues to the staff’s attention at the time. That said, if these problems had been addressed, this could have easily been a 5-star experience. Now for the positives: The hotel is conveniently connected to the Hollywood Mall, which was a huge plus. The bar setup in the hotel is beautiful, and they offer valet parking and breakfast (both for a fee). The valet area can get crowded, but they do their best to get you in and out quickly. We booked through Hotels.com, which included a meal credit that really helped. The room came with bottled water, though it’s $11 per bottle, so be aware. Hotels.com also gave us a much better rate than booking directly. My husband is a rewards member, but we found that Hotels.com provided more value. Staff was amazing

Comfortable bed! The hotel was busy and in a good location for sightseeing Hollywood. The hotel room we were in had a great view of the Hollywood hills. It was dated and needed to be upgraded and painted, otherwise it was fine.

We had a great time. There was a shopping & entertainment area adjacent to the hotel with a top rate Mexican restaurant ( and the hotel restaurant had a superb breakfast) the Hotel is very secure and we had a spectacular view of Hollywood from our room.

The room was nice and had the view we wanted. It was clean. It's definitely an older hotel you can tell by the shower, but it was fine. Staff did not tell us about a $35 destination fee, only found out when we got home and the email came, letting me know it was charged on my card. I tried to tell the customer service team that we were not informed of this and therefore unable to take advantage of any of the perks, we so called paid for. They will not refund the money and said I should have gotten an email from the 3rd party we booked with. Nice way of making $35 off each guest.

We had an excellent stay. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. The location was perfect for exploring the area, with restaurants, shops, and attractions within walking distance. The staff at Loews Hollywood was amazing! Extemely friendly and prompt. We barely waited for anything from extra towels to valet. It was great! The atmosphere was relaxing and chic. Even though the location isn't in the best area (not the worst either) we felt very safe at Loews. Everything was really clean. The only reason I rated it 4 stars for cleanliness was because there was a bit of some type of red liquid splattered and dried on the ceiling in our room...Valet, front desk, In-room dining, the coffee shop all were great. The food was really good and so was the coffee. The kids got to get a complimentary popsicle or candy from the coffee shop since we stayed there which made our kids feel special. My ONLY complaint is that our room got REALLY warm, especially in the mornings, even though we turned the A/C as cool as you could. I almost had to ask to move but since we were out and about most of the day we stuck it out. We got upgraded to the Hollywood sign view which was so cool, but may have contributed to the heat issues in the mornings with the sun.Overall a really nice place to stay. We loved that Universal Studios is so close (7 min drive).

I had a reservation that was paid in full, but due to a delayed flight, I couldn’t check in on the first night. Instead of honoring the rest of my stay, the hotel canceled the second night without authorization and resold the room. Not only did I not receive a refund, I was forced to pay for a new room despite already having one booked and paid for. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly rude, and someone even hung up on me mid-conversation. The level of customer service was appalling—completely dismissive and unprofessional. This was a blatant case of double-dipping, and I will be escalating this issue to my credit card provider and relevant consumer protection authorities.

Quick & easy check in Lobby bar has Happy Hour- guacamole was very good! Location is great if attending event at Hollywood Bowl-quick walk. Area (Highland) was cleaner than last year. Lots of people there were attending Dodger game. Room was clean, comfortable.

The rooms are not as modern and updated as some other Loews. Dining choices inside the hotel are limited depending on time of day, but the hotel connects to a mall next door with other options. The area itself felt safe enough considering Hollywood Blvd is a mixed bag. It was highly trafficked and made it feel safe even though we did pass multiple unhoused, drug addicted and mentally ill. The hotel itself can’t control that I know and it is otherwise convenient to many attractions we were interested in. The room was a nice size, the pool was acceptable (a bit dirty/gritty on the floor) and we traveled with school aged children. Overall, we would stay there again.

Nice accommodations. I loved that the restaurant bar stayed open late and served good food after show at Hollywood Bowl.. I felt safe walking as a solo female to and from Hollywood Bowl, and there were lots of other people walking to the show as well. The hotel is attached to Ovation mall which had a few shops and restaurants. The self parking is $25.00 a day, and it is attached to the mall with easy access to hotel. You can walk to Dolby Theater, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Jimmy Kimmel, and Madame Tussards. The rooftop restaurant at Madame Tussards was very good.

The hotel is very well located within walking distance to excellent restaurants, attractions such as the Chinese Theatre, Dolby Theatre, wax museums and Hollywood Museum (highly recommended). Tours and the Big Bus leave from nearby stops. You can also see the Hollywood sign from the area adjacent to the pool. The bar area is well patronised and we saw appetising snacks served. The buffet breakfast was adequate but expensive at $42. The on-site cafe has snacks and a variety of items. The hotel charges a 20% service fee, even when purchasing water from the fridge where no service is provided. This resulted in an additional $2 cost!

Everyone was warm and inviting, were able to ask any and all questions and very helpful doing so. Bed was comfortable and house keeping were accommodating when sleeping in. Breakfast was great and Preston’s menu gave options when we wanted to stay in. Overall great experience.

There's nothing available in the hotel to purchase, and the restaurant doesn’t open until 4. The staff encourages you to go to the mall area, but there are probably only two or three restaurants open, making it really not a good location to stay in. I stayed here previously, but they used to have a Starbucks inside the hotel. Even if you want a midday coffee, their café is already closed for the day, making it just not worth the price. They charge $12 a bottle in the room for water. closest place to get a coffee in the morning is about a 10 minute walk. if they’re gonna charge a premium price, make sure you have premium items available for your guest.

Overall we had a very nice stay. We stayed one night for a concert at Hollywood Bowl. We were very impressed with the standard room with King. It was very spacious and had a view of the Hollywood sign. The bed was extremely comfortable and the blackout curtains allowed me to sleep in til 9:30 which is unheard of for me. I marked it down because there was a $35 destination fee added on to the bill which just sucks and I felt scammed. Also $71.50/night to park is insane, but unfortunately not uncommon in LA. But lame nevertheless. We found street parking a half mile away. I’d probably stay there again, but will look around at other options first.

While the hotel's location was decent and the overall stay was okay. But, the staff was extremely rude. Despite having advance booking benefits, they never informed me about them beforehand and only mentioned them after I brought it up myself. Furthermore, upon arrival, I paid the deposit and the staff confirmed everything was fine before completing my check-in. However, the next morning, they disabled my key card without any prior notice, claiming there was an issue with the deposit payment. Even though I was already checked in and staying in the room, no staff member bothered to contact or visit me to explain the situation. They simply deactivated my key without a word, leaving me locked out of my room after breakfast. I had to go down to the reception myself to figure out what was going on. My accommodation fee was already fully paid, so I had no idea why this was happening. To make matters worse, the staff spoke to me without even looking at my face, acting as if the fault was entirely mine. In the end, I had to re-process the deposit payment. It has now been almost four months since I checked out, but that deposit has still not been refunded. It was absolutely the worst experience.

Beautiful place. Nice little pool. Walking distance uphill to the Hollywood Bowl. They would of gotten 5 stars, but some creeper drone was flying around looking into our room. I didn’t think that was cool. When I told the front desk they said “Sorry”. Yet, they could of comped up some drinks of breakfast, but they did not. The food at the bar was quite tasty. Surprised after a concert that they didn’t stay open longer with the food. Everyone was hungry. Our waiter was over the top when he heard I hadn’t eaten since breakfast, he went and asked the kitchen for something for me. He got a big tip. It is all about paying attention to the details.
