We booked the hotel because we were planning on having dinner & not having to go out after a long day of driving. Because they’re doing remodeling, the restaurant was closed but the staff could make a pizza for us. We ended up having to walk to the Hall Pass that offered nothing we cared for & ended up at Dave & Buster which the food was a disappointment. Also in order to get ice in the hotel we had to go to the 5th floor for ice or the front desk since the ice machine wasn’t working on the 3rd floor. As much as this hotel cost a night it’s ridiculous what we didn’t get.

I chose this property because it was solid with an open safe parking lot where skis would be safe in my car. Many hotels downtown have parking in structures and have poor reviews regarding the parking structure safety and accessibility, so I chose this hotel where parking was only $10/night. Staff said it was safe and you had to use your key card to lift the gate and there was security every 15 minutes. The gate lifted automatically and a card access was not required when I was there, so anyone could have accessed the lot. I also didn’t see any evidence of manned security, but I didn’t have any issues other than the lot being full at one point.

Laundry has only one washer and dryer. "Considering the scale of the hotel, that is insufficient." "I waited for the washer for hours." Also, you will not be allowed to enter the parking lot without checking in. This is very inconvenient. Other than that, it's great.

The property is on the west side of downtown Salt Lake City. You will have to walk a mile to get to the center of downtown. Very good hotel with quiet rooms and standard breakfast. Small pool with hot tub. The only issue is parking is $10 and is limited.

Had a great one night stay at the Hyatt; check in and checkout took about two minutes each, breakfast was great, and we had a room with a nice view of downtown and the mountains. The only real issue was parking; we paid $15 for a night of parking in the hotel lot (perfectly reasonable price), but when we left and came back late that night the lot was full and we had to pay for street parking. Also, one odd quirk was having no outlets next to our bed. In general great stay:)

I really would have liked the room to have been cleaner for the price. When we walked into the room you could barely breathe because there was so much lysol sprayed. But considering there was old stuff under the side of the bed. I don’t think it was a clean as the lysol was trying to make it.

I am happy we booked! Check in was quick and easy and it was so close to fun restaurants and shops. We utilized the pool and workout room as well. It was clean and maintained. We would stay here again if we were in Salt Lake City.

Description said restaurant available however few options were available and front desk staff were also the ‘cooks’. We had the breakfast included with our stay the next morning because there were few options near by. The food was cold and upon leaving we noticed a large dead cockroach on the floor in the lobby. The room was dark, old and felt unclean.

When we first arrived we were accidentally given a King room instead of the double queens we had booked. We were moved to the first floor in the last double queen room. It was a little run down and at the front of the hotel just off the lobby. We could hear the road during the day, but at night it wasn’t a problem. Being on the first floor proved to be convenient, as it was close to the breakfast and parking lot. The free breakfast changed daily and was clean and had plenty of variety. We loved that we were so close to the Delta Center, where we booked a last minute viewing of Disney on Ice. You can see the Delta Center from the hotel - it’s on the adjacent corner and a few minutes walk. There’s also a market within walking distance and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again as it isn’t far from Trax, the freeway and the Hogle Zoo.

This is typical “this level” comfortable, and fairly new hotel. Two minuses from a travelers perspective. There are no microwaves in a room that has a refrigerator. This to many, and is just does not make sense. It is inconvenient. It would drive us to other solutions for a week. A day or 2 no real problem. The other problem is the less than stellar free breakfast. In this case, you get what you pay for. There’s nothing wrong with it if you’re ok with cold eggs, honey basket for tea so stuck together with honey it was impossible to get one out, running out of fruit daily-especially bananas, and a handful of other less than good things. Kids everywhere, but they only made pancakes on weekends. Great rule for them, not so good for families. It’s fine, my son made me drive to IHOP daily to avoid those problems, get warm food, and to get pancakes. Other than these 2 items it is a great hotel.

Stayed 3 nights: Pro: Very helpful staff, very nice and clean room. Small snack and wine bar handy. Good breakfast. Con: Very understaffed at night with only one person on duty. That person is expected to run front desk, serve in bar, cook food that is ordered, answer phones and guest issues. Each night the staff person was great, but badly needed help. Also don't get room on street side as very noisy until midnight.

What made my stay was how fantastic the customer service was from everyone I interacted with. the front desk staff went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great and comfortable stay. Not only was there complimentary breakfast, but it was tasty and fresh! I’d recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

I have rarely felt less welcome when checking into a hotel. The young man on the desk, his name tag said Caleb, simply said 'Yes?' No 'Welcome to The Hyatt' or similar that may have given me the impression I was actually welcome at the hotel. The room was actually very nice, with lots of room and very clean. It had a fantastic tv in it. Breakfast the next day was chaotic, there was a large party of, I assume, Chinese people having breakfast taking up all of the tables. When we eventually found a table it had not been cleared. I went to get some fruit and there was a long line of people filling plastic bags full of fruit. It was the same situation with bagels and i witnessed a women with 10 to 12 boiled eggs in two bowls. I was travelling with my 21 year old son who has Autism and learning difficulties who was getting increasingly agitated so we couldn't wait to get out. I would suggest that the hotel should put staff in the dining area to prevent what was basically theft that prevented other guests from getting the breakfast they paid for, Check-in and breakfast spolied a nice hotel.

Stayed 5 nights here and would absolutely recommend staying again. The staff was incredible. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever stayed somewhere that had staff as helpful and kind as this place. The hotel was very clean, the only complaint is that the pool was really small but not a deal breaker at all. Three adults agree one room that had 2 queen beds and a pull out couch bed. There was a ton of space in the room and both the beds and couch were extremely comfortable. I highly recommend staying there!

It's a super accessible place right next to the light rail and walking distance of everything downtown. The staff are great and the food is decent. A solid stay. I would just be aware of the fact that the downtown area is sometimes loud with cars or that the rail is pretty loud sometimes too.

Great Place to stay if you do not have a car to leave in their "secured" parking lot, right next to the soup kitchen and a lot of homeless in the area. Our vehicle was broken into staff was not surprised. SLC Police did not bother to respond as a weapon was not stolen from the vehicle.

This hotel is located in downtown Salt Lake City. It is within a five minute walk to the Delta Center, shopping mall and the Salt Lake Temple. There is a tram that goes right by it, too. The staff were very friendly, and the room was great! Very big with a sitting area and convenient parking right behind the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are going to a game or concert in downtown Salt Lake City.
