Room was quiet and clean. Staff were very helpful and available. Location was nice since it is right on the river/canal. Pool was decent as was the sauna. Breakfast options were on the weaker side - almost kind of disappointing to be honest, but good places near by to get a good breakfast. The whirlpool jets were out of order so that was kind of a bummer. Not that I needed it since it is just 2 floors, but there is no elevator.

I highly recommend staying here when visiting the Houghton/Hancock area. Staff were friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Our room overlooked the water- very nice. We also enjoyed the pool, sauna and hot tub. Breakfast was decent in the morning as well.

Our room was nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable! Refrigerator small for folks traveling for multiple spots. View FABULOUS. Website needs to be updated to remove that there is a restaurant and bar. Found out after arriving it has been closed for months. Not easy to get to for arrival, but easier once you leave and come back. Now that we know what to expect, we would stay again but get take out so we can enjoy the scenery we paid for.

We only stayed one night. An older 2-story hotel with no elevator. Fortunately we packed light. It was very clean except under the Jacuzzi faucet which the people cleaning probably couldn't see, so we left them a note. Breakfast was my favorite with waffles, peanut butter and syrup!! Because of hotel location it could be a little tricky getting in to park.

This is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are pretty updated, wifi is fast, Sauna is great, has a hot tub that I would like hotter...but that is personal preference, pool itself is clean and large, wish it was deeper [4ft] but hey....another preference. The breakfast had Jimmy Dean sandwhiches, waffle maker, bagles amd such, pastries, hard boiled eggs, cereal, coffee, lots of different teas, juices, apple cider, hot chocolate. Rooms were very clean! Staff was helpful with regards to the area and very nice.

The hotel is rundown and worn out. NO restaurant or bar and no mention of this anywhere in the hotel info. Do not stay here. Room was dirty, worn down and noisy. They need to do a total renovation or demolition.

This was our second stay here and it was as good as the first. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. We really like the location too. It's walking distance to both Hancock and Houghton, river front walks and trails.

Older hotel, but very clean, very well taken care, of everything was great. Could not have slept better at night. The bed and the linens were extremely comfortable.. No, if the coffee maker in the room was k cups. The breakfast in the morning was breakfast Sandwiches, waffles, muffins,cereal etc. Stayed 4 nites while seeing the sites. Great stay!

Our room was had been smoked in, and smelled badly of cigarette smoke. We immediately talked to the nice fellow at the front desk. He could only offer us a King (parking lot side, or a Queen waterfront, neither being the King waterfront we paid for). He offered air freshener spray. He tried to help. Fortunately, we had a window that we could open, and in a few hours, the smoke smell was a lot less. We were disappointed at our lack of options, or that the hotel could even somehow refund a portion of our cost due to the smell and inconvenience. We were told this was because we booked with "an outside party" - ie: Hotels.com. The bed was uncomfortable too - very hard.

Extremely clean!!! The cleaning staff were even cleaning the exterior door handles on every guest room in the morning and the wiping down the handrails in the pool room. Decent amount of breakfast options, nothing fancy, but all the standard hotel fair. All of the staff we encountered were so friendly. Definitely a place we will stay again!

Rooms were updated, quiet, and clean. The refrigerators do not have adjustable settings so our stuff froze. The beds are firm and pillows are full and firm. Staff was very nice. We have already made another reservation to stay this summer.

It's always a pleasure staying here. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and coffee every morning. The facility is always clean and the views are to die for! We were sad we couldn't use the pool area due to repairs being made, but we'll plan on it next time!

The night manager (April) had a horrible attitude and was extremely unprofessional. She was very disrespectful to her guests and one of her co workers creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. A hotels management should set a positive example, and that was not the case here.

The hotel was great! Central location to entire Keweenaw Peninsula and all of the mines in the area. Make sure to visit as much as possible. Take drive to Copper Harbor and do the loop drive and stop at all of the scenic pull offs!!!

Likes: Convenient to both Hancock and Houghton. Breakfast was a welcome surprise. Liked access to nearby state parks. Area is very conducive to walking and biking. Parking is convenient and plentiful. WiFi works great. Areas for improvement: have room temp set to reasonable temp at check-in. Room straightening was inconsistent day to day. Need a personal safe in each room.

Didn’t find any walkable dining options but it fit our needs just fine and is much less costly than right across the river in Houghton. Would certainly stay here again. Nice that it’s right on the river!

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Every staff member was friendly and helpful! *The rooms were very very clean *Breakfast amazing- had pretty much anything you could want. View from room overlooking waterway was beautiful!! Cost was very reasonable! Will definitely return and recommend to friends!!

Nice, well maintained property. Room had a good view of the water. Took advantage of the whirlpool after dark with a partially obscured view of the bridge at night. Very cool Breakfasts were underwhelming. But we didn't mind too much since good breakfast places are to be found on either side of the river. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Overall, it's a good hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Unfortunately, like all Ramada Inns, it has not yet embraced the sustainability and conservation mindset. Abandance of single-use plastic both at breakfast and in toiletries is saddening, but this unfortunately very typical in American motels of this price range. Likewise, breakfast is overwhelmingly unhealthy, loaded with sugar and low quality carbs. It's unthinkable that individual-use maple syrup sugar are made of corn syrup and transported from faraway, while this place is located in the UP where maple syrup is tapped locally. Again, this is a malady of our economy and not unique to Ramada.

The website shows they have a bar which has been closed for 2 years. Disappointed they haven’t updated their website. This hotel use to be a great place to stay with a restaurant on site as well. The restaurant is also no longer there.
