The room was spotless and spacious, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was excellent and good value for money, and the location is within walking distance of the city centre. Only minor criticism is that it can be difficult to find a parking space. But overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone visiting Galway. We will definitely be back.

The room was very small for 3 people. I know not to expect a typical US size room. But there was no place to put our bags. Also the parking lot is small and difficult to maneuver. The property was crowded while we were there but parking was very limited.

I have been to Ireland & Galway (from the US) five times and have stayed here every time - wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Galway. The proprietors are exceptionally nice and accommodating. Convenient parking available in the front and back. Easy and safe walk to Galway City Centre, Eyre Square, etc. The rooms are exceptionally clean. I was in the same room twice and it had been superbly updated since my last stay. I look forward to returning!!

St. Judes Lodge was a great getaway with an amazing location. Sean and Donal are great hosts and always put their guests first. The location was within walking distance of the Latin Quarter with the restaurants, pubs and shops that the area is known for. It was nice having on site parking. Breakfast was great with all the items you need to get your day of exploring the Galway area off to a good start.

Our experience did not fit the comments we read. On arrival the host told us he upgraded us to a larger room than we booked. There were 3 of us. He put us in a basement room that had 6 twin beds lined up & pushed into every corner possible. We never saw the lovely lake view posted on the website, instead we saw the parking lot. The mattresses were old and uncomfortable. The pillows just as bad. Zero amenities in the room, no soaps or shampoos. There was a soap dispenser in the shower but it was empty. A few of the towels were old and frayed on the edges. Felt more like a hostel tan a B&B.

Quiet spot not too far of a walk from Galway proper. Decent enough hot breakfast. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Only downside is the linens. If you’re allergic or sensitive to soap you’ll definitely notice - whatever they’re washing the sheets with smells very chemically. Opened some windows and it seemed to go away though.

The room which sold as a double for two people was tiny. There was not room even to put our bags down. We had to shimmy around each other just to move past each other. At best this should’ve been a one person room, with a smaller bed. I could even go so far to say it was unsafe. On the other hand the manager was extremely helpful at breakfast, very pleasant.

Nice place, could use a little updating: it was unseasonably warm and while the window opened, there was no fan or AC. So, it was a bit uncomfortable sleeping at night. Bathroom was pretty clean, just a bit older. Really nice owners/managers (the twin brothers).

Staff were friendly and helpful. when we checked out the owner said we could leave our car in the parking lot so we could walk into town to get Sunday lunch. In fact, he recommended a place and said on our return we could use the washroom and pickup a coffee before our departure. Two thumbs up

The B&B is in a very nice location. It seemed a little disorganized. The room was fairly standard, no upgrades or character. The breakfest was very good, but it was probably the noisiest meal I've ever had. The dining area is small and everything echos..it didn't help that the staff was picking up and placing dishes the entire time...I would have eaten elsewhere on hindsight.

The room was not as indicated. Attic room with low ceiling. Sustained a massive blow to my head when I tried to access the left side of the bed. I indicated early that the room was not as indicated and Sean was unresponsive to my remark. Later tried to change room and no one available. Do not accept this room if you asked if you can climb stairs to third floor. Very disappointed with this room and subsequent unresponsive remedy/adjustment.

St. Judes Lodge was a great getaway with an amazing location. Sean and Donal are great hosts and always put their guests first. The location was within walking distance of the Latin Quarter with the restaurants, pubs and shops that the area is known for. It was nice having on site parking. Breakfast was great with all the items you need to get your day of exploring the Galway area off to a good start.

This is a charming BnB close to downtown Galway. The owner goes out of his way to make you feel invited and appreciated. Our room was clean and our beds were comfy. The 10 euro breakfast is worth the price as the owner offers to make you eggs any style you prefer. Check in and out are super easy and there are plenty of parking spots. Highly recommend!

The B&B is in a very nice location. It seemed a little disorganized. The room was fairly standard, no upgrades or character. The breakfest was very good, but it was probably the noisiest meal I've ever had. The dining area is small and everything echos..it didn't help that the staff was picking up and placing dishes the entire time...I would have eaten elsewhere on hindsight.

This was, by far, our worst stay in Ireland. The rooms are very basic, which is okay, but considering the price per room (about 300 euros), it’s a ripoff. I understand that we visited during a peak time (in July), but does it really have to be such a blatant grab for money by the hosts? It’s a B&B and yet they still charge for breakfast… even when you’re paying an exorbitant room price! That really didn’t sit well with me. And the rooms have no fans - non are offered by the hosts - despite the rooms being uncomfortably hot.

The room was spotless and spacious, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was excellent and good value for money, and the location is within walking distance of the city centre. We really enjoyed our two-night stay here. We parked our car and explored on foot for two days instead of trying to park in the center. Galway is safe and fun and very enjoyable, with some great restaurants and cool sites. Take a walk along the lovely canal. Owners Donel and Sean are caring hosts and work hard to keep the place in great condition and offer a nice breakfast buffet for 10 euro. The road in front of the guest house was a bit noisy when we turned in to sleep but soon quieted down. We would happily return here again.

This a very quaint B&B with one of the best hot breakfasts in Ireland served on hot plates. Each room has its own boiler for unlimited hot water. The location is just minutes from Eyre Square and great shopping opportunities and even closer to the train station to Dublin. Only downside is it is a bit pricey. Great place to stay.
