Had a lovely stay here for one night. Good car parking. Food was lovely with a really lovely breakfast. Room was lovely. Only thing was the hot water. Took 2-3 minutes to get hot although there was a sign to say this. Water in the shower and in the sink were slow in draining away.

This was a one night stay before going for the Aberdeen ferry and it was in a very nice position to do that. However I really enjoyed it because it felt like a holiday because the area around is so lovely with an easy walk down to the harbour and the lovely cottages around. The staff were very friendly and the food was good. There is plenty of parking and the rooms were very nice with a comfortable bed. Absolutely nothing to dislike.

Overall a pleasant stay but tainted by the smell of cigarettes. Good on-site restaurant with a great breakfast and fantastic service. Nice views down to the water from the room, cosy sofa and spacious. The bed was small and uncomfortable. Excellent car park on site, great location with a nice convenience store close by. Unfortunately the popular pub downstairs has smokers using the main entrance which leads to the bedrooms, making this area smell of cigarettes. We were glad to have a room further away but needed to use that access to the restaurant. We would recommend allocating a smoking area away from the main entrance. Minor cleanliness and attention to detail missed such as dusty plants on dining room table. Still enjoyed our stay and all the nice food!

A cosy small family run hotel and restaurant on the coast with great views. Plenty of onsite parking, warm welcome on arrival. Room was spacious and comfortable with a sea view. Both the evening meal and breakfast are delicious with a good selection of food and drink. Can highly recommend dining here. Thank you especially Angie the morning breakfast server. Will definitely stay again.

Desk staff were helpful. Parking was very limited when the restaurant was busy. Dinner and breakfast were very good, but we were asked to wait in the bar area (which smelled smoky at the entrance) until our booking time. Room was clean, tastefully decorated and lots of outlets!

Walk down to the water on quiet side street no tourists around except us. Great old hotel on residential area. Good parking and safe at back of hotel. View of the ocean from our room. Great staff thank you Claire for check in and dinner service. Breakfast staff also very good. Had a good laugh at me for putting blueberries and strawberries in my orange juice! Thank you

Stayed one night out of season. Stayed in room 14. The room was big enough, very comfortable and everything was very clean. Only problem was that the room window is at eye level for a walkway at the side of the hotel. So unless you are an exhibitionist then you need to keep the curtain closed as anyone walking by will see right in. Food was excellent. I had the feather blade beef it was lovely, my wife had the vegetable tagline and enjoyed that as well. Breakfast very nice with great views

The owner was wonderful, very helpful and so accommodating. The hotel was lovely, very cosy rooms, so if you’re over 6ft tall the beds are very small doubles, so not very comfortable for us but very clean, beautifully decorated and the food was delicious and hot! Great parking and overall the service was excellent.

Very disappointed. Stayed in Room 3 for our anniversary, and had 6 hours of BLARING MUSIC from the bar/public area below. It didn't relent until midnight. Absolutely horrendous, more like staying in a nightclub with a hotel attached. Was told that they make this clear at booking- they didn't - and that it was an old building. We paid extra for a room with a sea view too. If you are after peace and quiet - AVOID.

Second visit to Cove Bay hotel, both visits to see a family members. Hotel is on the outskirts of Aberdeen overlooking the North Sea. Our rooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathrooms have a great shower but could have done with another radiator as they were quite chilly. The food is excellent. Hot breakfast items are many, and good quality. Evening meal was tasty and pleasant service.

Cute small hotel with a great sea view restaurant. Full hot breakfast is included with room which was excellent and lots of choices. Lattes and flat whites were included with the breakfast. The staff are 5 star. So nice and accommodating and fast! We recommend this place. Be sure to reserve the sea view room as the room is large and has a nice size bed. The cottages are cute but small.

Lovely staff - very grateful to the manager who waited past check in time for us when our flight got delayed by 3 hours, breakfast and dinner were lovely - would definitely recommend. Room and bathroom were a good size for the both of us.

Walk down to the water on quiet side street no tourists around except us. Great old hotel on residential area. Good parking and safe at back of hotel. View of the ocean from our room. Great staff thank you Claire for check in and dinner service. Breakfast staff also very good. Had a good laugh at me for putting blueberries and strawberries in my orange juice! Thank you

Second visit to Cove Bay hotel, both visits to see a family members. Hotel is on the outskirts of Aberdeen overlooking the North Sea. Our rooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathrooms have a great shower but could have done with another radiator as they were quite chilly. The food is excellent. Hot breakfast items are many, and good quality. Evening meal was tasty and pleasant service.

This was a one night stay before going for the Aberdeen ferry and it was in a very nice position to do that. However I really enjoyed it because it felt like a holiday because the area around is so lovely with an easy walk down to the harbour and the lovely cottages around. The staff were very friendly and the food was good. There is plenty of parking and the rooms were very nice with a comfortable bed. Absolutely nothing to dislike.

A cosy small family run hotel and restaurant on the coast with great views. Plenty of onsite parking, warm welcome on arrival. Room was spacious and comfortable with a sea view. Both the evening meal and breakfast are delicious with a good selection of food and drink. Can highly recommend dining here. Thank you especially Angie the morning breakfast server. Will definitely stay again.

Stayed one night out of season. Stayed in room 14. The room was big enough, very comfortable and everything was very clean. Only problem was that the room window is at eye level for a walkway at the side of the hotel. So unless you are an exhibitionist then you need to keep the curtain closed as anyone walking by will see right in. Food was excellent. I had the feather blade beef it was lovely, my wife had the vegetable tagline and enjoyed that as well. Breakfast very nice with great views

First of all, the staff at the Cove Bay hotel are absolutely amazing! They were beyond welcoming and made our stay a breeze. The restaurant was beyond words. The food was so amazing and prices seemed reasonable considering the large portions and wonderful flavor. Breakfast was equally as good. If I ever get the chance to come back, I will be staying and dining here again!

The room was clean and comfortable. The attached restaurant served wonderful food - no need to search for good food. The staff was so courteous and helpful and they had great suggestions on where to visit. The view of the North Sea from the restaurant is gravy on top of the good food and service. I recommend this place.
