Residence Inn Chattanooga Near Hamilton Place

Livingroom area was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was nice and clean. Bedrooms were also good to go! Swimming pool and exercise room was top notch. Plenty to choose from at breakfast time. Hotel is close to every restaurant you could imagine and a gazillion stores to shop at. The hotel is about a fifteen minute drive to downtown Chattanooga.

Swimming pool was nice for children

We’re glad our room was very spacious. With two little kids space is a requirement. The couch wasn’t comfortable and was hard. The refrigerator was scrubbed with a scouring pad or a wire brush, like maybe someone wrote or drew something on it. The bathroom door had been doodled on in black pen. The pool was shut down, which we weren’t aware of till we arrived. We paid $14+ to wash and dry two loads of laundry. The detergent and dryer sheets were free though. The walls of the hallway had white stuff on the wallpaper. There was this weird white box on the wall by the bed that we weren’t sure what it was. Overall it was a good hotel to stay at. It was clean, had modern decor, and spacious for a one bedroom. The appliances worked (we cooked on the stovetop). The refrigerator kept our drinks cold. The water pressure was decent in the shower.

Room was clean, everything worked and good water pressure. Staff and breakfast was excellent. Poland hot tub were nice.

It's unfortunate that the hot tub's jet is not functional during our stay, otherwise the room is spacious, clean with comfortable bed. A/C is a little noisy when it kicked in. Sam at the front desk is very accomodating and respectful. Would stay again if we're on the neighborhood once again. Highly recommended.Good breakfast with assortment of hot and cold selections.

Our stay was okay but could’ve been better were it not for a few details. There were extra pillows for sleeper sofas, so I called the front desk and asked for some as well as washcloths. None were ever provided. Additionally, we found out the next morning that we were also a towel short, but didn’t bother calling for any this time since our last call was never attended to. There were no spoons in the silverware drawer, either. Lastly, when we went to use the hot tub there was dirty foam/bubbles floating around the surface that of the water and the pool had several greenish spots in the concrete around the edge, which I believe was algae.

In major need of repairs. All amenities are useless and broken. Hot tub down. Indoor pool filthy and not circulating. I can't believe it wasn't shut down. Ice cold also. Pool heater not working. Gas fire pit in outdoor lounge area covered with tarp and turn into a mosquito pond. Five smokers poles in Outdoor Lounge area which I assume is now the smokers area. Nothing like the photographs shown on the internet. False advertising and should be ashamed. I will give them the room was clean and large. Very angry because I booked it for the indoor pool and the outdoor lounge area

Very clean,comfortable and spacious rooms. Jacuzzi water temp was perfect. Pool water temp was a little cold for my liking but the area was very warm.

Everything was wonderful. The indoor hot tub and pool were wonderful after a long car trip. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The fully stocked kitchen was great. The hot breakfast ws delicious.

Staff was very friendly, but seemed short of help, as they could not deliver us more towels to the room. We had four guests but only two towels in the room. Room seemed poorly cleaned and someone’s dirty socks were left on the bedroom floor. Toilet made a screeching sound when filling that woke people up at night. Breakfast was mediocre. Elevators broke so we had to carry heavy bags down to stairs.

The lady at the counter was nice and helpful at check-in. However, when we got to the room, we found a used wash cloth on the floor in the bathroom. The hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. There were 2 dead bugs in the hallway, that's how you know they don't clean often. It was also a HUGE cockroach on the wall in the hallway also. When my husband went to ask for extra linens for the pull-out couch, the guy at the front desk told him they were OUT! So then I went down to the front desk myself, because there's no way any of us were going to sleep on a naked mattress. I asked him "How does a hotel run out of linens?" So then he proceded to go check in the back, and he brought out the sheets, comforter & pillows. smh...

Room was dirty and smelled horrible. Front desk moved us to another room which was better. Both Tv's screens were damaged and had dark spots in them. Carpet and flooring seemed dirty also. We did not spend much time in the hotel, but if we were going to I would not recommend staying here.

Overall, it was a good stay and I would stay again when in the area. Hamilton shopping area is a short drive away so there is an abundance of eateries and shopping opportunities. Although it gets crowded, breakfast is plentiful with good options. The rooms are comfortable and a good size with several amenities (office working area, kitchen area, dish ware, TV options, etc). Even has an area to work on your golf putting skills. The cons were the black mole in the shower and around the bathroom baseboards and needing to constantly log into the Wi-Fi.

We were very comfortable and the hotel was very clean.

Not good, dirty

Upon checking into our room on the 4th floor, the room had the lights off so we came in turned them on and started to bring out stuff in. As we were doing that both my daughter and I saw movement on the ground and quickly came to realize it was roach type bugs running around the floor. They were startled by the lights coming on and quickly scurried back into a crack in the wall. The carpets and bath tub also were stained. We were so grossed out we immediately went back down to the front desk and they offered us a different room. I have been driving for 7 hours to get to the hotel and was exhausted. We were there for a tournament and the rest of the team was also staying ther. Knowing a lot of the surrounding hotels were booked I took the second room they offered since it was late and I needed to try to rest. The second room didn’t have bugs but the carpets were also stained in this room as well. Needless to say we kept our shoes on the entire stay and all of our belongings up off the floors.

The room was obviously not vacuumed. Tags from clothing on the floor. Baby pacifier in plain sight under couch. Makeup stained comforter. Blood stains on sheets. Pulled back sheets and found numerous long hairs. Pretty sure linen was not done. Shower are, showers still wet . Sediment in bottom of showers that needed to be rinsed away. Soap scum on walls. Hair on floor and in every corner . Dirty silverware in drawers. Windows still open with air running , I’m assuming to air out the pot smell . Every time we got on the elevator it reeked of pot. Switched to a new room at midnight . Still found tags to clothing on the floor. Dirty dishes put away and wet showers with sediment that needed to be rinsed out before my kids could get bathed. Fourth floor for our “upgrade”. Hair bands on the floor . Hallway littered with dirty laundry outside of rooms. Windows still open in all the rooms. Pot smell still everywhere. I understand everywhere is short staffed and the staff I did encounter were very nice but for the price paid for a family trip to see my son perform in bands of America . I was honestly embarrassed to be staying there and felt very uncomfortable sleeping in the beds and bathing there. Please check other hotels out beforehand. I had even asked for room service the next day to at least get my sheets changed but they told me that only happens if i were to be staying three or more days… we stayed two nights .

Maid service needs to double check to make sure everything is intact. There was no dish soap or dish towels in the kitchen. Only one face towel in the bathroom. Mold on shower liner. We had a nice view of the hotel rooftop. I paid a nice bit of money for this room not to be on point.

The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The front desk staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We only stayed here 1 night as we were driving through on our road trip, but we would stay here again. The hotel was quiet, and we had a pleasant time here. We would recommend this hotel to others. The breakfast was nice also!

The Hotel was great overall, few things didn't work during our stay. The tub had a bit of damage from a previous rug placement. The fridge had a handle bar that was cracked and the ice maker didn't work. Not enough plates or cups for a family in the kitchen provided and pot was too small for rice or larger quantity options. The Jacuzzi was awesome, so was the pool, amenities were great and breakfast was a definite highlight as the options daily kept growing. Would name a few but wouldn't give it justice. All I can say is that they provide something for even the pickiest eaters lol. Anyway, we loved our stay, very safe, no one messed with our things, the staff was great and if not for the minor negatives It would have been 5 starts for us. Thank you!

Checkin was fantastic, Sam was super. Went to the room after a hard day in the heat. Got showered and realized the temp in the room was going up not down. Call the front desk, Sam was very sorry we were so uncomfortable. He found us another room and got us swapped. The AC in room 2 was great. Breakfast the next morning was good. The room was a 2 room suite. Lots amenities on tue property. Its way more than a basic bed and shower. For the price its a great place and the location works well.

Great stay in the huge suite. Nice full kitchen 2tvs Like how you can isolate the bedroom from the living room and kitchen great free breakfast. I’d go back for sure.

This hotel certainly was not a four star hotel. The rating was excellent and I believe it should be more like OK. There was crumbs from the previous customer on the floor. The closet door was a slider which I believe is missing one of the doors and the bed will cave in in the middle of the bed. Mattress should be replaced. The room was very outdated.

A room akin to a small apartment for the same price that other hotels would charge for just the bedroom. The location is perfect for a tourist stay with incredibly dense dining and shopping in the area, easily accessible on main roads. The hotel acts as much as a home base for travel as it does as a home away from home to cancel plans and stay in. The included kitchenette really sells the "home-like" quality, and all of it came together in a clean and affordable package so you can forget you're traveling and focus on making memories.

The one bedroom suite we stayed in was great. We had a small kitchenette and plenty of room to relax. The bedroom was separate ,king size bed, and a tv in both rooms. It was clean and quiet. I would recommend this place 100 percent.

Mobile checkin is useless. You get a message that your key is being prepared, but they never work. When you are ready to check out, you will get a messagw that your digital key is ready at the front desk. No one was at the front desk when I arrived. I called the manager l, but he did not answer. I went in the back after a while and no one was there. Everything was open and unsecured. I finally wanteded back through the laundry facility and found the attendant. She apologized and said there was some bug going around. That was more conncerning, especially as a person who works in public health. Why was this person allowed to work while so ill? This is how outbreaks happen. I can't imagine staying here again. EmbassybSuites is right around the corner, and Hilton mobile checkin processes are seamless. My kids wa ted to swim when we got in, but taking so long to check in made that impossible before closing the pool.

Overall experience was good until check out. Their system didnt show that we paid in full at check in but my bank app did. They wanted another card but i refused. The general manager is supposed to look into it on Monday. More will be revealed...

Our stay was great. We would stay again. The only problem we had was the room service. They didn't come in our 3 day night stay. We had to request towels daily but they staff was very kind and gladly helped. I just think they were just short staffed for the holiday weekend. Room, breakfast, pool and hot tub where great, like I said we'd stay again.

We traveled for softball nationals, when we checked in it was 1am. First thing I noticed was our toilet was broke, giant ring of water around it. They had the maintenance crew trying to fix it instead of just moving us rooms. I was so tired I just didn’t fight it, took them 40 minutes and they were done. When we got up in the morning is when I realized that was the least of our worries. The room was filthy, Cheetos all over, chewed gum spit on the ground, a princess crown beside the bed. Missing sections of trim around the doors and other areas. I went down to the front desk and asked to have room service to have the room cleaned. The staff seemed great, apologized, said they would have it cleaned. Came back that evening to the same mess. No one had come to clean. Went back down to the front desk and got the same story saying tomorrow it would be cleaned. We were there for for several days NOT ONCE was our room cleaned. They apologized and said they would comp two nights stay. I went home and realized I never received repayment. I called several times for the manager and finally got a hold of her and her response was kick rocks, because I booked through Expedia they couldn’t refund me for two nights. I paid for a filthy dirty room with broken down furniture. Super disappointed in their customer service, poor quality. Also, neighborhood was sketchy, homeless all over. Didn’t feel very safe at all.

A good stay with clean room at a quiet location.

Staff was friendly. Nice breakfast. Pretty close to everything. Our suite had what we needed. We didn't get to use the kitchen area, but it was available. No extra blankets in our closet, but im sure they would have provided some if needed.

Bad location

All the staff were friendly and helpful. I inquired about local places to eat and was given some choices. Unlike the downtown Residence this was very close to the mall, shopping, dining etc. even close enough to drive to Georgia to get gas at Costco. I will definitely stay again. Room was not cleaned on the one day we needed it to be. Not enough towels and had to get more.
