Deadbolt didn’t engage on the room door, elevators were out of order for the two days I was there, and the bathroom door in the room (2 queen bed room) did not shut at all. Other than that the staff were polite and it was a clean room. I was happy enough. But the building needs some major maintenance.

The breakfast was A . The lady who set it up was very friendly. I also enjoyed the room size and water pressure. Only thing I didn’t like, and there is only so much the night guy at the front desk could do, and that is loud noisy children that should never have been put on the 3rd floor. I wish there were stores nearby, but the pool was nice and had a hot tub.

We were so pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel is after paying a relatively low price for our stay. We enjoyed the hot breakfast and relaxing by the pool. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Elevator was broken. No extra blankets or pillows for sofa bed. Didn’t have enough towels. Could smell cigarette smoke like someone was smoking in room close to ours. The room was clean and had good pillows

Area very sketchy , people sleeping in cars in the parking lot which has very poor lighting. No where at all to get food other than a Burger King that didn’t require a long drive in a lot of traffic to a very poor neighborhood. Large blood stain on mattress and Bobby pins on floor .

This is our third stay at this hotel. It is clean, comfortable, and just off 81. It is our way station on the way to a further destination. The people here are pleasant and exceedingly kind. I enjoy the breakfast before we head out on thw road again. On a long drive, I like knowing that I will hop in their pool and hot tub at the end of the day. It has a miuntain view as does my room. This is a very clean, safe, and comfortable place to stay. Well done!

Nice staff - was able to check in early. Nice breakfast area and friendly staff there. Bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. Several long hairs were left in several places on the bathroom floor.

Excellent breakfast options. Was a great quick stop for a roadtrip. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom could use an update with mold found on multiple areas of the caulking around the tub/shower. Very friendly staff.

The hotel was only about 10 minutes from downtown Salem which had great restaurants and a friendly atmosphere. Only about 20 minutes from the Mill Mountain Star landmark also. The hotel was visably clean although there was a musty odor the entire stay. Staff was friendly and accomodating.

Shelf in shower was broken. Shower temperature was warm at best. Carpet in room was dirty. Bed was uncomfortable. We we re woken and could hear every movement in the room above us at 3am.

It is really sad that the owners don’t take care of the bathrooms/ repair. The wood around the sink base was cracking open because the water flows off the edge of the counter and is causing wood rot. The shower curtain smelled sour/ mildewed. There was mold in the shower. The bedroom part was comfortable enough but good grief…. Clean the dang bathroom!! There is no excuse for mold

Everything was fine, but the pull out sofa had dog hair in it and should have been cleaned. The room also had a pet odor when arrived. It went away once we ran the A/C.

Our room was not as clean as it could have been. The walls were not very soundproof in that we could hear the TV loud and clear from our next door neighbor as well as all the footsteps from the people above us. The breakfast was fair. The front desk associate was friendly though and the beds were comfortable.

Do not believe the review rating. Very outdated, front desk girl was either very new or just didn’t really care. Put 2 of 3 rooms on 2nd Fl and 3rd room on 3rd floor when requested to be together. Asked if we could be together, head shake no, nothing verbal. 3rd floor upon exiting elevator reeked of cigarette smoke. Room smelled just as bad. Then go into bathroom and there’s peeled up wallpaper with about 2 feet of fuzzy mold. Housekeeping doesn’t see this is my question. Go back to desk to request room change, tell desk about mold, she asks did you leave the room clean? HUH ?!? What part of 2 feet of mold didn’t you hear?. Get room change to literally next door to our party, that couldn’t have happened 5 minutes earlier. New room, smelled of marijuana. Went to store to buy spray because it wasn’t getting better. Breakfast in the morning had long waits for food to be replenished, it was just ok. Only bright side was bed and pillows were comfortable but seemed brand new. Stinky carpets need to go. Definitely not an excellent rating by any means.

The blind motor did not work and we had to sleep with the blind open. However, they offered us to change rooms, but as we were settled and it was late, we refused. As this was a known situation, they should not have rented this room.

The pix make this look like an updated, well-maintained property, but most of the upgrades seem to be cosmetic. None of the USB outlets by the bed worked--the only single working port in my room was on the desk. It was also not possible to adjust the heat, although there were controls on the wall and on a window unit that didn't do a thing. The breakfast was abundant and decent.

Refrigerator runs but doesn't cool. No dial to adjust, just a small refrigerator with no freezer...you should not advertise "refrigerator" and not have a working refrigerator. Option to switch a refrigerator from another room was not given, rooms were "booked up..." Refrigerator inside temp. should be below 40 deg. Fahrenheit, these small refrig's, even when working, never get very cold so a different type of refrig. would be the solution for all the rooms.

Hi, ALL NEED TO READ THIS! I checked in and Robert at the desk was kind. I went to dinner with my wife and could not get back into room after all our suitcases were opened etc. The electronic key did not open door. I went to main desk and told Robert who did his best, but the problem was beyond his abilities. NO MANAGER ON CALL AND DID NOT ANSWER NUMEROUS TEXTS FROM ROBERT TWO GUESTS WERE IN LOBBY AND NO ACCESS TO ROOM? NO MAINTENANCE AVAILABLE TO WORK THE LOCK NOBODY CARED WHILE WE SAT IN LOBBY WITH NO ANSWERS for 90 minutes. Management was not to be seen or heard from throughout this ordeal. NO HELP NO CONCERN. A porter eventually worked the lock and we moved to a different room. MY PROBLEM MAY BE MINOR IF ANYONE NEEDS TO EVACUATE FOR ANY REASON? YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!!!!!

Very nice bathroom. However the check in was terrible. I was treated as if I wasn’t there. Waited over 15 minutes without a I will be right with you. Nothing. She never apologized or said a word for waiting with a reservation. Drive away

The property was very clean. Room and pool were nice. However the hotel checked us out before we were ready. We left at 7:30 for an event, stopped by the front desk before leaving to advise them that we were headed out but we would be back before our check out time (12 pm). They said ok, thats fine. My husband returned at 10:45 and housekeeping was in the room cleaning it for the next occupants. We advised them we hadn't even checked out and intended to still use the room (as we STILL needed it). Frustrated. Im curious what they would have done with our belongings had we let them in the hotel. It also doesn't set right with me that housekeeping entered a room that was being paid for, when the sign states they only do a cleaning on the 3rd day of your stay.

The desk staff when we arrived for her late check-in had a hard time finding us a room. The first room we went to had an air conditioner that was not hooked up and head screws, and other items on the top of it, and the room was very hot. The second room she gave us had a persons things inside of it as it was occupied. Thankfully the guest was out and we did not have a confrontation. No apology either time for the inconvenience. The room was clean however, when we finally got to one.

The hotel looks relatively new. It is located right outside I-81 so the only neighbors are a gas station and another hotel. The downtown area of Salem is perhaps 10 minutes away.

A comfortable property with courteous staff. However the comp breakfast was a big disappointment. We came down 40 minutes before it was scheduled to end but by that time all the hot food had been consumed by others. And there were many that experienced this food shortage. Perhaps limiting portion size could help ensure that everyone gets some. The staff were as frustrated as the hungry guests.

Clean room, friendly front desk staff and the kitchen staff lady who handles breakfast is friendly. However, the awesome looking hot breakfast offers scrambled eggs or veggie omelette however, they both had cheese in them! I was disappointed when I realized that I couldn’t eat either one because of the cheese. I suggested that the hotel really needs to offer at least one of the two without cheese (many travelers are either vegan or lactose intolerant). Again, big disappointment. Also, the doors to each room are ridiculously heavy. I felt like an NFL linebacker every time I went inside my room. And because of this heavy weight, all guest room doors slammed loudly all day and night…very noisy. Otherwise, a clean environment with all amenities needed.
