Great location and clean. Minor defects such as safe broken, not only in my room but at least one other colleagues room. Some parts of hotel a little tired but others parts great including fantastic shower. Some rooms a little dark, could do with additional lights if say you had paperwork or reading to do. Lovely food and bar area including inside and outside areas. Little annoyed with things like prices on menu which were not what we were charged on checking out. Overall enjoyed my stay and would recommend.

Lovely hotel, fabulous room and ginormous bed. Would definitely recommend this for a very comfortable overnight stay.

This is our third stay at the Alexander Pope Hotel in Twickenham. We had a gorgeous huge top floor room with windows on three sides, chairs and sofa with a cozy nook for coffee. The staff was quite helpful with our needs, with more of a front desk presence than in the past. The king bed was not the most comfortable, with a pronounced dip in the middle. While the bathroom was thoroughly modern some years ago, the concepts were not terribly practical (e.g. a single push button for both hot and cold and running water), and the shower head did not stay up. This might have been a concept hotel a few years ago but one has the sense that their primary focus is the pub restaurant.

The property was in a great location. Loved the restaurant / bar in the ground floor. The room I had was very spacious. My one note would be that the walls in the bathroom were splattered with something and the wall behind the trash bin was splattered with something. Other than that, the room was very clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would stay there again and would recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Twickenham.
