Motel Capri

Parking was easy/secure, but we got lucky as a spot opened up just as we arrived; not that many spaces. Room was clean with amenities.

The staff is very helpful and nice. Location is great you can walk everywhere within 30 min Breakfast is very basic but enough to kick off the day.

For the price and free parking you can’t go wrong.

The hotel lobby smelled like cold cigarette smoke. The rooms were dark, even with all lamps and lights on. During my four night stay, my room was serviced twice. The television only had one channel working. The elevator was not working, so not the easiest with luggage. It was at a convenient and safe location. It was nice to have the mini fridge.

The bathroom had visible mold. When I brought this to the front desk employee, Nick, I was told it was “normal,” which was a surprising response. I asked for a different room, but I was told there were no other rooms available and we would have to go somewhere else. The way the situation was handled was disrespectful and rude. When a Hotels.com representative later spoke with Nick, in my presence, and asked if other accommodations were offered, Nick told them that they just didn’t have anything comparable to my original room. I don’t mind an older room or minor issues, but a clean, mold‑free space is a basic expectation, even if it is a 2-star motel. Thanks to the condition of the bathroom and the bad customer service, we stayed at the DoubleTree instead. It was a comparable price and a far better experience.
