Everything about this hotel is first class. We had a superior room with sea view and balcony. Very spacious, plenty of storage space, lovely small extra touches such as fresh milk in the fridge. We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, really excellent food. Also good facilities such as pool, sauna, games room and lovely gardens. One of the best English hotels we have stayed in

We have been going to Luccombe Hall Hotel for over 2 years, the gardens are stunning ,and our room we like to have is with garden and outside hottub ,a place to relax and unwind. The indoor pool is beautiful, and breakfast one to die for . The peaceful surrounding with little shops is great .And plenty of places to see , have lunch and cool beer. Staff are great very helpful and very friendly ,we love it there.

My room was well presented and had everything i could need for my stay. Even down to small bottles of milk and choc biscuits in a fridge. The room was straightened every day and restocked. There was a wide choice of food at breakfast and hot breakfasts were freshly cooked. The evening meal choices were varied, good value and very tasty! Leisure facilities again were great. Most importantly the staff were very attentive and nothing was any trouble.

Welcomed into the hotel and arranged parking for us (particularly busy car park on arrival). Assistance offered with luggage and ran through hotel facilities etc. Cathy was particular good with our two year old. We booked dinner, menu catered for all of us and the simple pricing was appreciated. We used the inside pool, kids area and games room. Little ones loved it and all the facilities were clean, well maintained and comprehensive. The outside garden looked wonderful, we had a quick walk around could see and there was hours of fun in the garden (Park area, pool etc.) Check out was smooth and great that it was 11AM (enough time to digest breakfast before we pack! Room was clean, and the travel coat was already assembled (per our request). Milk in the fridge was a nice touch, I think it makes a difference for a cuppa. Thanks

Came here with two friends. Booked a triple room with breakfast. Loved our stay from start to finish! It was spotlessly clean both in the room and elsewhere. Peaceful and quiet, which made it so relaxing. It's on a hill with the most amazing sea views, indoor and outdoor hot tub and swimming pool. (outdoor swimming pool is also warm). It came with free access to the nearby gorge/chine which was stunning. Price reasonable. Breakfast was lovely, and all the staff was very sweet, friendly and helpful. The perfect place to recharge your batteries 🎊.

Nice hotel. We choose it for proximity to Shanklin town and because it has a pool. Location was great but pool was a bit chilly and hot tub wasn’t always ‘hot’ so we were a bit disappointed. However, staff were generally very friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent.

Great hotel right on the coast. Lovely big room with a fabulous balcony overlooking the sea, pool and gardens. It also had a table and chairs so I enjoyed a cup of tea looking at the hotel view. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was great and they have a small indoor pool with a jacuzzi and sauna along with a games room. The outdoor pool looks fab but was understandably closed during the winter. Very clean everywhere. Highly recommended.

It was a nice big room for a family of 4, with bunk beds and jets in the bath - it was nice to have an internet connected TV too - but we seemingly had the only room in the hotel with no sea view, which was disappointing, given how empty the hotel seemed to be. There were good facilities for families - swimming pool, hot tub, pool table, table-tennis, table football, toy room and books for younger kids - outdoor chess and playground - but the table-tennis bats were falling about and the balls weren't round - you had to pay extra for the pool table and air hockey - and the pitch-and-put wasn't available over winter. I'm not sure whether the pool had been cleaned as there was sand at the bottom for the duration of our 4 night stay - and in mid December, this would not have been from people returning from the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful but it seemed understaffed in the evening - the same waitress was looking after the bar and the restaurant, so had to wait. There was a good selection for breakfast - it might have been nicer to have more available buffet-style, but they were flexible about what hot food they'd bring.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, comfy beds, clean bathroom. The standard family room was way too small though, and it felt like they had just crammed too single beds into a standard double room. Not a great view either. Having previously stayed in a superior family room, compared to that it was quite disappointing. However it is in a great location and the indoor pool was great for the kids!

We were there during the storms in November so didn't get chance to explore the outside too much. The room was lovely and clean but the bin hadn't been emptied from previous guests. We are familiar with the area of Shanklin and wanted to be there so were very happy with the position of the hotel.

We had a lovely stay at the Luccombe Hall hotel and enjoyed all the amenities it offers. The staff are brilliant - friendly and helpful at all times. Service was exemplary. The views are stunning and the gardens are well kept and pristine. We'll be returning!

Lovely hotel, great location. Good facilities. Booked a standard double room which was in the eaves up two floors. Only complaints were a poor shower, Quite loud plumbing noises from the bathroom and air conditioner or similar noise from outside at night. This was worse because room was very warm and windows and bathroom door needed to be open for comfort. I would not want this room in summer.

We had a room with balcony and sea view which was excellent. Breakfast was very good, cooked items could sometimes have been a little better ( compared with previous visit in 2024), and the same goes for the dinner on a few occasions. But overall the standard is high. Staff all friendly, professional and helpful. A lift would be helpful

Lovely hotel. Room was absolutely boiling so I’m glad I bought a fan. Breakfast was delicious. Room a little small for 2 people and I didn’t like the adjoining door that opened out onto the corridor.

Welcomed into the hotel and arranged parking for us (particularly busy car park on arrival). Assistance offered with luggage and ran through hotel facilities etc. Cathy was particular good with our two year old. We booked dinner, menu catered for all of us and the simple pricing was appreciated. We used the inside pool, kids area and games room. Little ones loved it and all the facilities were clean, well maintained and comprehensive. The outside garden looked wonderful, we had a quick walk around could see and there was hours of fun in the garden (Park area, pool etc.) Check out was smooth and great that it was 11AM (enough time to digest breakfast before we pack! Room was clean, and the travel coat was already assembled (per our request). Milk in the fridge was a nice touch, I think it makes a difference for a cuppa. Thanks

It was a nice big room for a family of 4, with bunk beds and jets in the bath - it was nice to have an internet connected TV too - but we seemingly had the only room in the hotel with no sea view, which was disappointing, given how empty the hotel seemed to be. There were good facilities for families - swimming pool, hot tub, pool table, table-tennis, table football, toy room and books for younger kids - outdoor chess and playground - but the table-tennis bats were falling about and the balls weren't round - you had to pay extra for the pool table and air hockey - and the pitch-and-put wasn't available over winter. I'm not sure whether the pool had been cleaned as there was sand at the bottom for the duration of our 4 night stay - and in mid December, this would not have been from people returning from the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful but it seemed understaffed in the evening - the same waitress was looking after the bar and the restaurant, so had to wait. There was a good selection for breakfast - it might have been nicer to have more available buffet-style, but they were flexible about what hot food they'd bring.

Stayed in an executive room, Number 2. Didn’t have a proper shower. Went for dinner at 8pm Friday and was told by one staff member we didn’t have time for desert as the kitchen was closing. Felt very rushed. A free desert was offered the following night. Champagne purchased wasn’t cold.

Breakfast was very good, cooked items could sometimes have been a little better ( compared with previous visit in 2024), and the same goes for the dinner on a few occasions. I had a very lovely stay at Lucccombe Hall. The staff were all very attentive and friendly and the space is clean and well decorated. There is a swimming pool and Sauna on-site which although small, meets all of your needs. I visited out of season and the hotel was quiet. No complaints at all and I would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Luccombe Hall, the staff are extremely welcoming and efficient. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and you get a nice quiet environment, so should sleep well. The hotel gardens are very well tended and a super place to relax with a cool glass of something nice. It is a short walk into Shanklin and to the Chine. We found breakfasts good but did not to eat in the hotel in the evenings preferring to try different restaurants. All in all a good choice.

Very good hotel. Amazing view from the balcony, access to the garden (which was very big), access to the beach but it was closed for some reason; had to take the long way around. There was also live music and the breakfast options were good. Would highly recommend.

Short walk to Shanklin old village though it is hilly, there's a decent size carpark at the hotel too. We stayed in the east facing superior room with balcony, definitely worth getting up early to see the sunrise! Would have been nice to have more toiletries in the room though, plus a bottle of water. Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel!

Came here with two friends. Booked a triple room with breakfast. Loved our stay from start to finish! It was spotlessly clean both in the room and elsewhere. Peaceful and quiet, which made it so relaxing. It's on a hill with the most amazing sea views, indoor and outdoor hot tub and swimming pool. (outdoor swimming pool is also warm). It came with free access to the nearby gorge/chine which was stunning. Price reasonable. Breakfast was lovely, and all the staff was very sweet, friendly and helpful. The perfect place to recharge your batteries 🎊.

Great hotel right on the coast. Lovely big room with a fabulous balcony overlooking the sea, pool and gardens. It also had a table and chairs so I enjoyed a cup of tea looking at the hotel view. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was great and they have a small indoor pool with a jacuzzi and sauna along with a games room. The outdoor pool looks fab but was understandably closed during the winter. Very clean everywhere. Highly recommended.

amazing views, lovely dinner and super breakfasts had a different one each day 10/10,. room was comfy great shower. plus had fridge in room which helped with our toddler. only thing they could improve on, get draught beer pump. i am not into wine much, hence popped down town 2 out of the 3 nights which is a shame as the food was amazing at hotel and much better then local pub. again the breakfast was amazing each day. 100% will return

Nice hotel. We choose it for proximity to Shanklin town and because it has a pool. Location was great but pool was a bit chilly and hot tub wasn’t always ‘hot’ so we were a bit disappointed. However, staff were generally very friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent.
