Very clean stylish and compact hotel. Staff is quite friendly and also support for customers. But it’s pity that beach side bar is still under construction. And it looks old for some area. Breakfast and dinner are great and tasty. But no daily change menu for breakfast. If some menu will be changed as daily, it’s quite preferable.

The hotel promotes a beach club that was destroyed by a typhoon, I asked the property for a refund of the nights we did not stay and Expedia said they did not honor what they promised us. I will complain to the global sales office of the Movenpick in Switzerland.

I really enjoyed my stay at Movenpick Cebu. The food was absolutely delicious at breakfast, lunch, and dinner — every meal was a highlight! The service was excellent, with staff who were always friendly and willing to help with anything you needed. A special shoutout to Lester and all the lovely staff in the restaurant — you were the best! The hotel has a beautiful beach and pool, and the pool table and ping pong table are great facilities for both young and old. It’s about a 10–15 minute walk to the Newtown shops, but taxis are very affordable if you prefer not to walk. The only downside was that our room felt a little dated, although it was still very clean. I believe some rooms have already been renovated, so I’d definitely request one of those next time. Overall, a wonderful stay — highly recommend!

The Hotel is is nicely kept and gym is fantastic. Swimming area very small and shallow. The spa service is exceptional with terrific staff. Big Big Problem some lobby and restaurant staff. They speak derogatory about guests not realizing or not caring that the guests understood there language. Absolutely horrible behavior!!! Even with the property conditions being lovely. With there behavior I would never stay again.

The staff in this hotel were exceptionally polite and respectful in all their interactions. We stayed 2 nights before catching an international flight home. The rooms were immaculate and had everything you would need including an iron, ironing board etc. The view was fabulous and this was the first 5 star hotel we stayed in the Philippines that had a bath tub. It feels a little more westernised for the facilities and food they serve here but they also have some excellent Filipino and Asian food. Our favourite part was the private beach where we swam and sun bathed. The food from the restaurants had extremely large portions but was top quality, the drinks were excellent although sadly there was a few ingredients out of stock like bananas for the smoothies. Couple of excellent interactions that are worth noting, we arrived 2 hours early for check in and the general manager expedited our check in to just a 20 minute wait during which he encouraged us to relax and enjoy a drink and dine in the restaurant. Upon check out our flight was later so we were given a slightly later check out free of charge and also allowed to use the hotel facilities once checked out until it was time for our airport taxi. Overall a very hassle free relaxing experience where the staff and management looked after their guests. Thank you so much ☺️

침구가 약간 습했지만 기후 조건때문이라 이해하고, 일단 직원 친절도가 굉장히 좋아서 다른 부분의 안좋은 점도 다 가려질 정도였습니다. 수영장과 전용 비치가 엄청 큰지는 않지만 적당한 깊이가 있어서 놀기는 좋았어요. 필리핀 다른 숙소를 안가봐서 모르겠으나 조식 음식 종류는 무난했고 맛은 좋았고요, 바로 앞에 모닝글로리 있는것도 장점 ㅎ

On the plus side, the staff was absolutely wonderful, the breakfast was good, and the pool and beach area was a wonderful place to relax. The room itself and bed was comfortable albeit a bit dated. I would definitely return again, perhaps with a bit more time to enjoy all of the beauty the area has to offer. On the less than positive side, the Movenpick was clearly a top tier property in its day, but it is still suffering from some adverse impacts from a cyclone a few years back. The beach club is closed and doesn't look close to opening, much of the property has boarded up windows, and there is a mildew smell in the halls.

４泊５日滞在しました。 スタッフの対応はとても良かったし、優しかったです。 部屋は綺麗でしたが、施設が少し古い感じがしました。 あと、通路がカビ臭かったです。 朝食はセブ料理が中心で、セブ料理が苦手だったので1000ペソは高い気がしました。 空港から２０分くらいの場所で、ホテルまでに行く途中は地元の方が暮らすトタン屋根の場所を通過して行くので、近くにレストランがあっても怖いのでタクシーを利用しました。

The Movenpick Cebu offers a wonderful experience in many ways. The staff were absolutely fantastic – friendly, helpful, and truly engaging with our two young children. They were always willing to assist and find solutions to any problems. Our accommodation was spacious, comfortable, and welcoming, and the hotel boasts a great range of amenities. However, we did encounter a significant issue with noise from the evening events around the main pool. Our 4th-floor room overlooked the pool area, and the entertainment from 7pm to 9pm was extremely loud. This was disruptive for our young family. While not every night, it was frequent enough to be a concern. The other thing to note is the onsite tour operator, for us we felt the tour didn't deliver for the money paid and we weren't given enough information about the tour itself. If you're traveling with young children, we recommend requesting a room further away from the pool to ensure a more peaceful stay.

the rooms were very spacious and the staff were amazing, only thing lacking was an afternoon evening atmosphere, would have been amazing to relax on in the late afternoon with some local entertainment. will definitely stay here if and when i return to Cebu and look forward to see the new Ibeza addition

I would give the overall facility and stay 10/10 if it weren’t for the grotesquely loud shows on Friday and Saturday night. On the 7th floor the walls of my room were vibrating badly. I truly thought they were going to crack. This is an expensive hotel (almost $200/night) and NOBODY would stay there if they advertised accurately how loud it was. It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful hotel and room with very very nice people and food. Overall I’d downgrade my rating to a 2/10, the noise was that bad.

A beautiful stay. We had flights canceled and had to find accommodation, we were so happy to have stayed here the staff made everything so easy and relaxing for us. Melch, Hennessy, and Bj in particular, nothing was a problem. The managers were checking in throughout our stay to make sure all was ok. The facilities are great, it’s clean and the food is very good definitely do the breakfast here.

Amazed of the cleanliness, safety of the property, food was amazing, the only thing i have to comment was after checking in they the front desk gave us a coupon to eat dinner or lunch, so we did choose dinner , we went to the restaurant and got seated, there was a buffet i ask the waitress if we can start, she said to wait about 15 to 20 min we were waiting like a fool no water was served and still waiting until the waitress came back and said, we can order ala carte, my kids order and a guy water ask ask if we would like the buffet, by then I'm frustrated just eat a little and left my kids i lost my appetite. My say they should have communicated before we were send to the restaurant seating looking like a fool. That's unacceptable.

What set this hotel so highly rated is their staff, such kind people and genuinely generous. The beach is okay and the hotel is nice, its in lapu-lapu 35 minutes from the main city, 5-6 hours from oslob whale sharks and 3-6 hours from moalboal depending on traffic, its not bad walking because its all flat and scenic. All in all i enjoyed my stay and would recommend just keep in mind the distance

Very nice Hotel and Resort. Beautiful private beach with sunbeds, umbrellas and towels for the guests. The beach was clean and calm. Nice pool too, also a pool for children. Nice restaurants with reasonable prices. We were upgraded to a two bedrooms suite, perfect for family. Nice fitnesscenter. Every evening we got dried mango for free. The employees are very nice and polite. Always a smile and very helpful. We definitely recommend this resort. It is a bit away from restaurants and shops, but going with taxi or Grab is very cheap. We will absolutely stay here again.

The property was beautiful and all the staff were extremely friendly. There was still quite a lot of construction to fix damage from the hurricane, but that's not their fault. It's hard to go out without calling a cab. Some things look nearby on a map, but the areas you'd need to walk through might not be ideal.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Super sympathisches und zuvorkommendes Personal. In der direkten Umgebung gibt es nicht viel zu sehen. Bis Cebu City muss man aufgrund des Verkehrs aber locker mit einer Stunde Fahrzeit rechnen. Dafür ist es rund um das Hotel sehr ruhig und nicht so hektisch. Positiv ist auch die Nähe zum Flughafen, vor allem wenn man nicht sehr lange bleibt.

Nice location of the hotel which is a previous Hilton one. swimming pool and small garden setup. Also nice small beach with imported sand. Not many guest so hotel was very silent in all aspects. Thus the service of all functions were excellent, professional and friendly. Food was very good - breakfast buffet with easily ordered tailor made omelette and all selections of Asian and international dishes. Sandwich at the beach was huge and could feed a whole family. Dinner in bar and restaurant also very good. Walking distance to Magellan's Marker (15 min) and Newtown (30 min). Ferry to Olango Island very closeby. Taxi ride to Cebu City 45-60 minutes for 300-400 pesos. Airport 15-30 minutes with taxi. Had a room with balcony - nice sea view and perfect to sea sunrise. In the afternoon both the swimming pool and beach get into shadow.

The hotel has a beautiful beach and pool, and the pool table and ping pong table are great facilities for both young and old. It’s about a 10–15 minute walk to the Newtown shops, but taxis are very affordable if you prefer not to walk. The only downside was that our room felt a little dated, although it was still very clean. I believe some rooms have already been renovated, so I’d definitely request one of those next time. Staff, the best, always courteous and helpful. Facilities, clean although not perfect (I.e. toilet has no bidet or wash faucet so it’s very Western that way where you can only use wipes or toilet paper). But otherwise, room was spacious, good view (we got he “sea” view which means you’re facing the side so you can see the sea but it’s not an “ocean” view where you’re facing the beach). The place is located in a part of town where most of what surrounds you are other resorts and pricey restaurants. Not much choice in the way of retail. And the on site restaurants are pricey but not really special so you’re stuck having to call a grab to visit other places. If your idea of a vacation is just hanging around the hotel (which is fine because this place has great pool and private beach, relaxing lobby), then this is the one. I would suggest management come up with some sort of policy where people don’t take naps in the lobby . I mean it’s pretty uncomfortable to sit and relax when you’ve got people there literally napping in the lobby…I think it lessens the appeal of the place. But if you’re the type who flies into a city to explore, this location probably won’t make you happy. It’s 45 minutes and about $10 to get to the center of the city and traffic in Cebu is pretty much on par with Manila. I skipped the $18 breakfast buffet in favor of a simple $2 full breakfast at the small eatery across the street where local workers get their food-authentic Filipino street food. Top notch

Good location with private beach and 5 minute taxi to town. Staff were attentive, friendly and professional. Breakfast buffet was amazing. We got the halfboard and it was a good deal and plenty of good meal options. We will stay again if we return.

Very clean stylish and compact hotel. Staff is quite friendly and also support for customers. But it’s pity that beach side bar is still under construction. And it looks old for some area. Breakfast and dinner are great and tasty. But no daily change menu for breakfast. If some menu will be changed as daily, it’s quite preferable.

We really enjoyed our 7 day stay here. We reserved a half board stay. It was nice until day 3, as the menu was the same every day. Thankfully, they let us order off the regular menu against our half board. Lovely staff, trained like cruise ship crew: always friendly, always helpful!
