Had a wonderful time not far from centre of Ambleside but also a bus stop 5 minutes walk away which can take you to the pier. It was lovely to park up the car and not need to use it until we went home The gardens were beautiful and lovely to sit outside on an evening with a bottle of wine and enjoy the countryside.

The property itself is to the highest standards with large immaculate bedrooms. Breakfast is delicious, with the finest ingredients and a varied menu, served by friendly, helpful staff. Bedroom was slightly dated, breakfast was a bit stingy and breakfast timings weren’t especially flexible. It was a 1 hour window between 8:30 and 9:30 which I feel is quite late given the season and need to set off early to catch the sights and no options for grab and go breakfasts even when we asked. Bathroom was a stand out in terms of facilities and the location was amazing. A B&B needs to be successful in two areas, a bed and breakfast. This location was just so so on both. For the price asked I’d suggest pay a little more and get the better alternatives locally or pay a lot less and go further afield. This was a not great middle ground.

This was an amazing property. The room that we stayed in was huge and very well appointed. The breakfast each morning was delicious and it was an easy walk into the town of Ambleside to many options for dinner. We could not fault this stay at all, it was such a special place and highly recommended.
