Very utilitarian facility, it has the amenities for longer stays like GYM, laundry, kitchen in rooms for factory or construction crews but really needs to be renovated and upgraded for a pleasant stay. The staff was nice and the pet-friendliness is a plus. Biggest negatives are very loud air conditioners and refrigerators. The rooms are not thought out well so light switches and outlets are not located where convenient or needed. The furniture is worn, not broken but you are happy when leaving the room since it is not inviting or makes you feel relaxed.

Staff was a helpful and friendly. I spoke to Virginia during the process of booking the room. I explained to her that I was there for my mom who was dying in hospice. I told her I didn’t know how many days I’d be there. I needed information of the pet policy. Virginia was so helpful. She asked if I am an IHG member which I am so the pet fee was adjusted. I find the pet policy to be very fair and accommodating. The pet area was great. The little store/pantry was very convenient. The bed was comfortable. The little kitchen was nice. We will still at Candlewood Hotels in the future, especially because of the excellent pet policy.

Very pet-friendly which was perfect. Like the mini studio apartment feel to it. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Was there for a family emergency and the staff was accommodating to our needs.

The staff was very friendly which I appreciated. The rooms smelled of smoke and there were stains in the linens. You could hear the neighbors fighting in the rooms next door. I generally felt unsafe during my safety and safety is my main priority when traveling.

We found this property to have a terrible odor, and the rooms were not clean. Our first room smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. We changed to a second room, which had a foul smell, almost like there was a dead animal on the wall. I would not recommend, especially for the price that we paid.

We stayed here for a football game. We had to be moved to another room immediately after checking in due to stains on the bedspread and sheets. Bugs in the room too. The hotel did this with no issue. Towels were so very thin and not good quality. At $509 a night we expected quite a bit more. Such a disappointment!

The hotel was dark and worn. Room heat/air conditioner was very loud, as was the refrigerator. The shower head had weak water flow. No streaming options on TV other than casting from phone.

Staff was very nice when checking in. Rooms were a bit dated. Toilet paper dispenser was coming out of the wall, full length mirror frame was broken at the top and taped together with duct tape. There was a visible bug/mouse glue trap behind the toilet/counter in the bathroom. The place was fine for a quick overnight stay.

My wife and I frequently visit Athens to see our daughter who attends UGA. We booked this hotel through hotels.com and upon arrival were told they are not supposed to accept people who live within 50 miles of the hotel, we live 48 miles away, and that next tome we would not be allowed to stay. Well then...looks like this asinine policy just cost you 2 customers. There are too many hotels to choose from to stay at a place where our money is apparently not good. Dumb people make dumb rules.

The front desk staff could NOT have been nicer - all of them were pleasant and greeted us as we came in and went out. The check-in process was smooth and quick. We would have liked a chair in our apartment, but there was none in #212 those days. And the pillows were larger and bulkier than we like. But we enjoyed the rooms very much and will return for our next visit to Athens. This will definitely be our Go-To place there!

The room was not ready till 4 and uncertain till 355. counldnt shower and get ready for event. Changed in a bathroom. Cancelled the stay. short staffed for room turnover …. bad experience

By far the worst hotel I have ever stay at, along with the most rude front desk staff. I am a totally disabled veteran with a service animal, front desk clerk demanded papers on my service animal. She demanded for her to be informed about my medical condition. Charged for a service animal. First time and last time staying at this or any other property with the same name!

The location is behind some businesses so it is hard to find, especially in the dark. The Internet barely allowed me to check email. I had work to do and was up most of the night watching my laptop and the "spinning wheel of death." The front desk manager didn't so much as apologize the next morning.

We didn’t stay, booked online after trouble with our vehicle heading to see our son graduate from his Navy Bootcamp training and had to turn around and find a hotel near the dealership. Picked this one.. come inside after making the reservation to be greeted by the most unfriendly lady I have met in my entire life. Lobby smelled terrible as well. This particular hotel will not let you stay if you live within a 30 mile radius. In addition the customer service is absolutely awful.
