Common areas of hotel were clean. Fitness center was clean but displays didn’t work on the treadmills. Pool was nice but a lot of ants. we had a 2 bedroom suite which smelled like damp mildew. there was food in the dishwasher and hair and mold in the shower. carpet is filthy and turns your socks black. maybe it was just our room because we booked through 3rd party. also they charge 5 per day per car for parking and i don’t think this was listed at the time i booked. the 2 bedroom/bathroom setup is perfect for sharing but the cleanliness wasn’t there for this room.

It was a comfortable, quiet night with pleasant staff. The breakfast had many options. Only negative was that I received a daily parking charge that I wasn’t aware of. The pool/ spa areas were under repair construction which they made us aware of and will soon be completed.

swimming pool was closed and not clearly mentionned on the description before booking. Even at the reception, the cancellation was refused and no compensation proposed neither by the hotel or expedia. very bad customer expérience for a marriott hotel

All the staff was excellent. Since I stayed for seven days, it was great that a Publix store was in the same complex. The Gator's Restaurant was surprisingly good. Everything was very clean. The pool and spa were popular.

Great location, clean and comfortable, and the breakfast served was simple but quite good. The heated swimming pool and hot spa were super for the winter chili days. The housekeeping service was terrible! Although we asked three times, nobody came to clean our room and collect the trash. We ended up using the same towels and cleaning the kitchen, dishes, and utensils for 4 days. Overall, we recommend the hotel but suggest they would improve housekeeping issues.

The staff were both friendly and customer focused, the hotel was always clean and tidy. I only gave a 4 star rating for condition of facilities as the second lift was out of order for our whole stay, which was a real inconvenience on occasions due to the number of residents.

This visit was fantastic. Breakfast was great, pool was nice and close to everything. They even served Sangria daily. Only downside was hot tub wasn’t hot.

I had a beautiful suite, staff was outstanding, the amenities great (other than the fire pit being ooc). If I had a criticism it would be a need for breakfast meats. Would stay again and recommend.

Clumps of hair on the shower wall. The other bathroom was out of conditioner. Even after we advised the front desk they never came to fill it. No power on one side of the beds nightstand. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night.

At check in we requested a room with a balcony and a marsh view which we didn’t get. There was cockroaches in the room and blood on the window curtains. The staff was very friendly and they had a good breakfast.

The staff was amazing with us, but the cleanness wasn't wood, we found hair on the towels and roaches, so it wasn't a good experience for us, we have a 5 years old daughter, so is frustrated when you find that kind of things in your room.

I was allowed to check in early. I like having two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We stayed four nights. It was my understanding that our room would be cleaned every other day. We checked in on a Thursday and I specifically requested a cleaning on Saturday and fresh towels. I even talked to the cleaning person. I thought she understood but she understood and spoke no English. I went to the front desk on Sunday and again requested that our room be cleaned. By mid afternoon it was cleaned but only one of our two bathrooms got clean towels. The breakfasts were amazing! The front desk employees were kind and friendly.

There were roaches on the floors and walls. The microwave was filthy.

Good experience. But rooms are outdated, lighting was complicated, and AC was extremely loud at night.

The suite was spacious and the bed was super comfy. Also, the staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the chocolate chip cookies and sangria at check-in!

The good: Close to Sanibel Island. Spacious 2-room studio. The bad: Booked a King Bed room, got a 2 Queen. One of the bed lamps not working, neither light nor power socket. The ugly: Thick layer of dust on all light bulbs. Carpet has neither been vacuumed nor steam cleaned in a while. A/C comes on every 20-ish minutes and it's like a jet engine powering up next to you. I have been to motels that had outdated A/C units, but this was by far the noisiest. When lying in bed it blows right into your face. Managed to get 2 hours of sleep - after moving to the sofa bed in the living room.

The room was nice and clean. There was two things that was not good in one of the bedrooms it was the king size bed and the tv, the mattress is no good it was caved in, I couldn’t sleep comfortably at all and the tv was messed up also, it had a blue blur on the left side and I couldn’t adjust the lighting to it. But other than that everything else was fine.

Property was great except for the air conditioner. Noisy and woke me throughout the night.

Spacious with full kitchen, great for families

Room was like an icebox when I first entered. Once figured out the heat controls, I got it warmed up. Heating and ac unit was VERY noisy.

Our 1 BR balcony unit was great. Even though we didn’t cook, the kitchen had everything you needed- full size refrigerator, 2 electric stove top, sink, dish soap, sponge, towels, dishes, salt n pepper. Complimentary breakfast was delicious- hot n many cold choices. Pool n spa felt great, even though the spa felt the same temp. as the pool. Pool towels available. Front desk personnel were very pleasant and helpful. All in all would stay here again

Inexpensive and large, comfortable suites

Residence Inn was very close to the bridge to Sanibel which is what we were looking for. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Our room overlooking the pool was clean and spacious. What I didn't care for was the air-conditioning unit was behind a door in the room right by the bed. It was extremely loud when it ran. My daughter who sleeps like a rock was also woken up by the unit throughout the night. When it turned off and didn't run the room got so hot very quickly. You were either cool with a loud unit or hot with a quiet unit. My other complaint is that the workers were out leaf-blowing at 7 am both mornings I was there. I felt like I was back home with my annoying neighbor waking me up on the weekends. I was on the second floor by the pool so maybe if I was higher up it wouldn't seem so loud, but it was frustrating to be woken up so early in the morning, especially after a disruptive sleep from the air conditioner. If you do not care about noise while sleeping then this is your place. If you're a light sleeper like me, you may want to stay somewhere else or bring ear plugs.

At check in we’d used 3rd party booking (because we had a $300 voucher). The desk rep commented “oh, you used 3rd party booking, that’s the glitch.” I had my Bonvoy membership #. It felt deragatory. Everytime we left in evenings to eat (or return) she was not at desk, or never looked up.) kind of felt looked down upon. Blondish middle age Hispanic woman fabulous. Breakfast tater tots potatoes hard all 3 days, stale. No cranberry juice anymore? Ice water no longer fruit infused? Meat - sausage, sausage vegetables and turkey… no bacon any of our 3 days. The staff in breakfast were good. As mentioned, one was fss as fabulous.

Very pleased with the amenities at the hotel. The hotel staff were so accommodating and friendly. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who’s visiting the Sanibel / Ft Myer’s area.

We had an excellent stay and the hotel did actually go above my original expectations! The suite was spacious and comfy. The seperated living room area from the sleeping area was great. The room cld easily and comfortably slept 5 with the 2 queen beds and lounge type sofa. Toilet flushed well and the shower head worked well. Some things you kind of dont think about until you are experiencing it. Full sized fridge was perfect for our needs to buy groceries and pack for the beach daily. Also had a microwave, dishwasher and stove top. Came with all the kitchen utensils you would need including dish cloth and dish towel, soap and scrubber. Fridge had a nice ice maker in the freezer. The staff was incredibly wonderful. Can not say enough about how each and every one was cheerful helpful and caring. They have 5 p.m. happy hour with their own made sangria:) Pool was beautiful and clean, hot tub as well. Publix, massage, cigar shop and eating establishments all within walking distance. Parking lot is big and easy to maneuver. Never had any parking issues. The mini store area in the lobby had pretty much anything you may have forgot, and more. They had a very nice clean kept washer dryer area. The breakfast options were phenomenal. Having a diabetic daughter that needs low carb protein options. They have a HOT BREAKFAST every morning with lots of options. Plus all the other options you would expect. Would absolutely return for another stay. Hope I didnt forget anything.

Didn’t get the room I paid for or a refund of the difference. Check in person also sent us to the wrong room. She wrote down the incorrect room number. We were trying to get into someone else's room.

The front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. I rode in for one night on my touring motorcycle and because we were expecting a tropical disturbance that night into the next day, Brianna opened a side door to a hallway so i could park the bike in to protect it. The bike didnt fit due to the width of the saddlebags but she let me park it right next to the front door under the overhang which did a good job. When it became apparent that this tropical disturbance might cause a delay and i might have to extend my stay, they said they had room and could do that if i needed. There was a 7/11 with very friendly staff that i walked to to get some snacks and drinks because the Publix also next to the hotel was closed. Would be nice if they had a covered area designated for motorcycles as there were a few others there already. I absolutely will seek out this hotel next time I'm in the area to stay again, just bring a bike cover with me for the next trip.

Clean and great location. However; be careful leaving something valuable in the room. We left a small bag in the closet and apparently the cleaning person didn’t found anything after check out. Are they supposed to clean and inspect each room after each guest. By the way the manager is the worse. Bad customer service

We bought from the inventory that was shown to us a a Suite with a King Size Bed. Well when we arrived they gave us a double bed suite with a broken AC. So when we arrived it had a portable unit. Since we arrived late then guess what they sold our room to someone else. I complained and Hotels.com got us a walkaway and went to Hilton instead. We went to an embassy suites as the solution. Yes it was a great decision because the Residence Inn wanted us to change rooms the next day. At least we got to sleep in the next day at the Embassy and the AC was super cold.

Solid place to stay. Nothing spectacular but it was clean, quiet, breakfast was nice in a centralized area to do a lot of things within 10-15 minutes.

The hotel is in the perfect place to get to Sanibel and Captivata - it’s very close to the toll road. The hotel is immaculate and the ladies at the front are super friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. Will definitely stay here each time we visit Sanibel going forward.

The meats served both days for breakfast were awful, tasted like burnt rubber. The original room we were placed in smelled of feces emitting from the drain in the bathroom, smelling the whole suite. The gurgling from the plumbing kept us up all night and in the morning, we requested to switch rooms.

No towels by pool on weekend. Room alarm beeped on and off sporadically throughout stay( called for repair twice and were not able to fix) maid eating lunch outside our room talking loudly on phone… dropped French fries on carpet by room door. Coffee at breakfast had grounds in the bottom.

we spend 5 nights at the facility, despite the fact they promise room cleaning every second day, we had none. i asked every day and never received room cleaning during our stay. the breakfast was lacking of food every morning. the windows are soo dirty we can't see trough them. worst MArriott ever.

Best free breakfast we have ever had

The hotel was very clean, the suite we stayed in was really clean and well kept, we even had house keeping stop by to ask if we needed any clean towels or anything for our room. All the staff was really friendly, especially everyone at the front desk, from checking in to the check out. Lastly, breakfast was very nice, plenty to choose from and the area was kept real clean, the staff stopped by each of the tables to say hi and asked if everything was ok…it’s truly a very nice property to stay!

The two bedroom room we had was very clean and roomy. The laundry facility was clean and nice to have available. The breakfast staff was very nice and food variety was fabulous. Front desk staff were very nice as well and enjoyed the complimentary sangria and goody bag upon check in.
