The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly breakfast was good couple issues the elevator one was broken and I didn't see any repair guys there to try to fix it so you had to wait a long time for the elevator the water in the pool is very nice however what they should do the room that it's in is a little chilly so you really don't feel like going in the water they need to make that room hotter you know so you feel like you want to go in to cool down.

This property is either relatively new, or recently renovated. It has nearly everything I want for a short stay. The room is large, clean and comfortable. The wifi is exceptional for a hotel. The property has a pool and exercise room. The breakfast area is very large and comfortable and the food is better than other similar places. The staff is efficient and professional. The only negative comment is that the access road to the hotel looks like it has been used for artillery practice. Bring your off-road vehicles!

Both the inside and out are well maintained and updated. It looked and felt like a high end hotel for a very inexpensive price. The pool is salt water and open until 11pm. They have fruit, coffee, tea and hot chocolate availability 24/7. The staff were very friendly and accommodating!

We arrived at night and the entrance to the hotel was not lit up nor well-marked. There was no sign on the main road indicating that the access road to the hotel is through a Shopping Center. The hotel parking lot was apparently being blacktopped so was unexpectedly blocked off. I had to phone the front desk to ask where to park and how to enter the building. We had to park inconveniently in a dark area by another hotel. We wish we could have been warned somehow about the parking or an accessible path could have been left for carting in luggage. The hotel definitely needs more light and signage outside to make it clearer and safer for guests to find it! Property needs work! Inside- clean and roomy but air conditioning was very cold! There was plenty of seating for breakfast. That was good. Bathroom was very clean.

Room had a weird odor. Reserved one king bed room but got a double full or queen room. Was not a big deal and I did not complain. Really just the odor of the room and shower was kinda gross. But typical hotel overall. Just needed a place to stay for a night with limited options. Fine I guess, don’t expect anything other than that.

The rooms were not cleaned, the hotel smelled like the sewage. The staff mentioned the smell because of the rain, however it still smelled terrible days after. We were forced to leave early because of the horrible conditions. The AC system was broken, even after we turned off the AC it wouldn't shut off, it was freezing that my baby was shivering at night. Not to mention that the mini fridge was so loud we couldn't fall asleep. Overall terrible.

Just some stains on chair and carpet. Toilet didn’t flush in room 219. Needed to sleep so didn’t want to deal with complaining… was very surprised for a Hampton… usually Hamptons are very nice

We booked two rooms for our family and When we checked in we found some clothes in the closet staff shifted our room to another room and again we found dirty tissue in the drawer… and the other room we found glass 👓 under the table and coffee machines and headboard is very dusty… we complained at the same time but no action at all.…

The property is conveniently located for those wanting close access to the highway. Several close dining options, supermarkets, strip malls gas stations etc. The staff is attentive, friendly, efficient and accommodating. Buffet breakfast a huge plus. On the downside, room didn’t feel like it was cleaned thoroughly (sheets didn’t smell fresh) and a used bar of soap was in the shower when I checked in. With that being said, overall a 4/5 star rating.

Breakfast included with great breakfast options. Pool area was clean and organized. My daughter spent hours there. The whole hotel was clean and smells great. Staff was very friendly. The only issues i had was with the wifi. I couldnt get it to hook up to any if my devices. Wasnt a big deal because i didnt really need it, but it qas an amenity I couldnt use. The other issue is you can hear everything. I could hear people two rooms over. Walls are paper thin. Bring a white noise machine or fan.

We got a quite spacious room...clean...Breakfast was very good...my kids loved it..The location of the hotel was a wow!You can see mountain from the window...Only the part I didn’t like was the microwave oven...It was an old style...no 30 sec button!

The only thing that I did not like was very poor lighting in the rooms. I could not read at night. But everything else was good or great. The staff was always helpful and breakfast was good. Too many good things to eat. The coffee was very good and was yours to drink most of the day. A nice place to stay.

I stayed in a clean and spacious corner room with a king bed. Located near a grocery store & shopping plaza off near the highway. Location was useful but not super scenic but close to beautiful areas. Breakfast was good and the dining area was large and had a cozy area to sit with a fireplace. Coffee and tea were available all the time near check in which was nice.

Friendly helpful staff, clean room, lots of restaurants and shops nearby, nice central location for travel in many directions… Cons: -the black out curtains did not reach the windowsill so light crept in right at eye level in the morning. Also they did not overlap and we had to close them with a hair-clip. -No snack shop in the lobby- just vending machines that only take singles. The front desk kindly made change for us. -The saline pool smelled weird… -we booked another night and I called the front desk early in the morning to keep the same room, and they said it was ok, i checked-in online and all looked good, so we went back to sleep and then the front desk kept calling because it wasn’t going through on her end and said i had to come down… so i did and then showed her that it worked on my app and she said oh, ok then. Aargh

When I arrived there was a party in front of me who had not been able to contact anyone in order to check in. I contact expedia chat. While doing this another party showed up too. Eventually someone showed up and checked us all in. There was no appology and she offered the other two a choice of water and snack or points. I have a Hilton account but she told me that I don't get anything because I booked with Expedia😕

On this day, August 31, at the Hampton Inn Matamoras/Milford, there was an incident. Our stay was not the best. There was a misunderstanding, on my part, about the pool amenities after check out. I was checked out and under the impression because I had been a guest I was allowed to use the pool (amenities) for the remainder of the day. I was visiting with family and had invited them, as well. The receptionist was rude and accused me of “malicious deception” in front of multiple guests, defaming my character. It was a misunderstanding, on my part, that was handled extremely poorly. The receptionist did not have a name tag and was presumptuously audacious in how she handled the situation. I was called deceptive multiple times and remained calm and willing to pay for the misunderstanding. I apologized to the guests that were present and waiting for the situation to be resolved, as well. Due to this incident, that could have been handled much differently, I will not be bringing my business to any Hampton Inn again.

I booked 2 rooms for my family. My wife went to check in. I failed to tell her that I put our daughters name on the second room. The woman at the desk informed her that we only had one room and they had no more rooms left but there was just a cancellation. My wife panicked and paid for another room. When we realized my wife didn't use my daughters name for the second room we went back to the desk to cancel the extra room. We were told it was our mistake and there was nothing she could do. The desk attendant was extremely rude and I believe she knew exactly what she was doing with selling us a second room. We paid for 3 rooms and only used 2. I am also disappointed in Hotels.com because I needed to talk to someone about this and could not find a number to call.

Parking lot very safe. It was so easy to travel with points of interest close by. Shops across street and a movie theatre and dining. We enjoyed back yard brewing co. Very close. Great food.

It was easy to get to off the highway. There were several options for food. The person who checked us in was not overly pleasant; basically asked for ID then handed us a key. The hotel is quiet and clean.

I was happy with my stay at the Hampton Inn. There were only two things that I found less than excellent: the tv was analog rather than HD, and there was no fresh fruit at the breakfast bar. Other than that, I found the facility very nice, and I enjoyed my stay there.

The reception desk clerk did not offer breakfast times -- i had to ask. Breakfast was very skimpy. My room without any heat on was 83 degrees. I had to put in the air conditioning to get it to cool down. This would normally ok but since it was snowing outside it was a strange and cold thing to do. Brown carpets and drapes are dreary in the rooms. TV was an older style with poor clarify. However the location was what we needed -- and it was relatively clean.
