Captain's Inn at Moss Landing

Our room overlooking the river was as good as expected, the shared deck was nice. The kitchen has a microwave, toaster, communal fridge, ice packed ready to go, and all the cutlery and crockery you need. We got dinner in the Thai place up the road (splendid)and had leftovers the next day, everything we needed for our take away dinner was there. Breakfast bar is a bit scant, but we weren't there for the food. Lovely little place, would certainly go again if I could afford it, this was a special occasion and it was perfect.. Beautifully located to explore Elkhorn Slough and whale watch out of Moss Landing and a beautiful beach is a short walk away.

Easy parking

Great place - very quaint - pictures are very accurate. Great location - very central to Salinas and Monterey. Great staff - very attentive. Responses for requests were immediate. The owners want to make your stay enjoyable.

Place was perfect for a family. Couldn’t tell arriving at night how pretty it was. Attentive staff and easy check in process. Would 10/10 recommend.

The Sanctuary room bed was quite elevated, which could be a potential safety concern as there’s a risk of accidentally falling. However, the view of the backwaters was beautiful and definitely a highlight of the stay.
