Delta Hotels by Marriott New York Times Square

I had a great stay at the Delta Hotel in Times Square. The room was very clean and comfortable, with everything well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit, making check-in and check-out smooth and easy. The location is perfect—there are plenty of shops and restaurants just steps away. The bar downstairs also had a nice atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a long day. Overall, an excellent experience and a great choice for anyone visiting Times Square.

When we got there, they gave us a room we came up there and the cleaning lady told us our room was not ready. My husband has been driving and he is in the wheelchair so we had to go back down waiting for an elevator forever and then they gave us another room that was perfect. The only two complaints we had was you had to wait for an elevator forever and it was really small, especially my husband being in a wheelchair.

There was a built in water filtration on each floor so that helped with staying hydrated! The restaurant was delicious and convenient! Overall 10/10 experience! Staff was lovely and so helpful!!

I recently completed a six-night stay at the Delta Hotel by Marriott in Times Square, and it was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had at a Marriott property. At check-in, the front desk staff were rude and dismissive. The elevators moved at a snail’s pace, and when I finally reached my floor, my key didn’t work. I had to lug my luggage back to the lobby, where the manager was unhelpful and condescending. When I asked to move my room away from the elevator, she immediately said she “wouldn’t do it.” Only after I insisted did she reluctantly agree. For a stay totaling nearly $4,000, that level of service is unacceptable. The next morning, I waited at the café for over 15 minutes without acknowledgment. When someone finally appeared, they said, “I’m the only one working.” How can a hotel in the middle of Comic Con week be so understaffed? When I returned to the front desk for help, the morning agent told me, “Yeah, the café is open,” then took a phone call mid-conversation and rolled her eyes. Between the rude café staff, dismissive front desk agents, slow elevators, and an unprofessional manager, this property demonstrated a complete lack of hospitality. I am a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member and found this experience embarrassing for the Marriott brand. I expect acknowledgment of this complaint and a clear outline of how these issues will be addressed.

Parking is terrible, time wait for valets delivery my car was like 2 hours. Breakfast is really limited poor options.

Friendly and helpful staff! Made sure we got on the right subway train. Great location and proximity to Times Square. Good coffee and bakery on site. The room benches gave us extra space to all hang out and chill.

Great rooms and excellent check in. However, valid parking was a disaster.! We had to wait 2 1/2 hours- no support from the front desk- outsourced service…. And really unfriendly. Finally, the manager did call the company… We had a great stay- just make sure you you park the car yourself.

The place was okay . The elevators were too small for that many people staying and they only have two. The staff were using one which it was a pain to just go to the room.

I arrived at 2:30 and was able to check in early. I valet parked my car with the hotel staff. At 9:05 PM I called the front desk and requested my car. The desk agent said they would call me when the car was downstairs. I did not receive a call that my car was ready until 2:15 am. Very inconvenient.

Arrived late after an unexpected detour to our final destination. Staff were rude. Room was dirty. Stained furniture and unclean surfaces. Would not recommend. Way overpriced for what we received.

The front desk staff was excellent. The rooms were not up to the Marriott standards that I’m used to. (I have been in many NYC Marriott hotels) there was mold in the shower and tub.

I want to preface this with the hotel from the reception is clean and welcoming. The stafff were friendly and polite. I cannot fault the staff at this hotel. The first problem was check in, our check in was at 3pm unfortunately we were told that we had to wait for a room to be available but as we had to wait we would be given a much nicer premier room. We got up to our room at nearly 6pm we arrived at the property at 2.20pm. Our room was less than premier, the flooring was destroyed, it was all broken and you couldn’t walk without shoes as the flooring had degraded, I’m guessing the room had gotten very wet at some point and the flooring had unlocked and blown at the seems. The bathroom was by far the worst it was moldy and very old and run down. The bedroom furniture was again old and run down and there were several broken drawer fronts and the bed had been screwed together where it was broken at the front. room 2907 on the 29th floor. The view was ok and the shower water was always warm. the oversized sheets and duvets on a tiny bed we had to make sure they were always tucked in as these created a big tripping hazard. We had a nice stay it was in a central location and getting around from the property was easy we visited many places and enjoyed it. 2 bros pizza located on the corner to the left of the hotel was a staple meal choice and the pizza was both cheap and delish. I hope they sort the rooms here to improve peoples stay as the flooring was unacceptable.

We had a nice stay here. The room was very clean and housekeeping was good. Nice tea/coffee in the room. Lighting very poor in the room and very noisy bathroom fan. Beds very soft. Good tv. Good shower. Fridge and safe in the room. We were only on floor 6 so outside noise was loud. Filtered water on floor however it was not cold. Staff however were miserable and unfriendly. Except for the cafe staff who were lovely. Good location for everything and easier for Uber Airport Shuttles.

When we arrived the hotel tried to charge me an additional $1000 when I had paid through hotels.com. After this was sorted arrived in the room and the bathroom was not very clean & the floor sticky. Thankfully I had brought house shoes and Lysol spray. Stayed 5 nights & 4 of these days I had to call for towels and bath mats since housekeeping didn’t leave any. One day our room was never cleaned. We did not get back until at least 11 pm Every night so housekeeping had ample time available to clean. The towels were so rough I had to go buy my own facial cloths to use. Also, the bath sink didn’t drain well - very slow and things would float up from The drain in the water…gross. Location was great and the last day there the staff was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, housekeeping needs some serious training on what clean really is in a hotel room. I have stayed in multiple hotels in NYC over the last few years and this was by far the dirtiest. If you go take your Lysol and towels. All in all okay - but will stay elsewhere next time.

The lobby was under construction/renovation so the place was a mess. The hallways outside the rooms were unvacuumed and had a lot of construction debris. My room’s flooring had a crack in it that I had to put masking tape over so I wouldn’t kick it and cut myself. Everything was just a bit “off.” Even the toilet paper ply perforations didn’t line up with each other. The service and the people were great, but the hotel in its current condition was underwhelming.

Dirty facility. The entrance to the lobby was horrible enveloped in a fried smell, listless staff and dirty floor. We were assigned a completely different room than the one reserved which consisted of a dismal dormitory comparable to a youth hostel. Pointed out the issue and we were moved to more decent room than the first but floor just as dirty and full of hair. Disgusting!

We had two rooms both were immaculate. Super conveniently located. Staff was excellent. They could possibly use another elevator, but aside from that. Every review that I had seen was incorrect because this is the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in Manhattan.

Nice hotel. Very large room. Great location and price. I needed a late check out and it was a smooth and easy process. Reception staff were a bit hit and miss mood and friendliness wise. Only major con: paper thin walls. The worst I’ve ever experienced. I sleep with ear plugs and even then it was at some points unbearable from the hallway noise and rooms next door.

Prime Location with High-End Appeal – Situated on a block with several other hotels, Delta stands out as one of, if not the nicest among them. The lobby is beautiful, well-lit, and spacious, offering plenty of seating so it never feels crowded or overwhelming. Impressive & Spacious Rooms – The rooms are exceptionally spacious, making them comfortable for extended stays. They feature a couch at the foot of the bed and a TV that supports streaming services, adding to the overall convenience and comfort. Surrounding Area at Night – While the hotel itself is upscale, the block it's on can feel quite dark and a bit uninviting at night. Just something to keep in mind if you're walking to and from the hotel late. Great for Tourists, Close to Transit – Located near Times Square, it’s about a 5 minute walk to the nearest subway station, making it easy to get around NYC. Personally, I think this walk was tedious, especially because there aren't many attractions around while you do it, but others might not mind. If your priority is being close to major attractions, this is a fantastic choice. However, if you're looking for a more local New York experience, you might prefer hotels in downtown neighborhoods instead.

The location is excellent; it is 10 minutes' walk from Times Square, and the rooms are nice. I am not considering recommending it to friends because there are three tiny elevators for a 30-plus-story building. Cherry on the pie, our room was nicely decorated, but the bathroom's sliding didn't close the door, which was less than 30 inches from the bed. There were huge gaps surrounding the bathroom's sliding door, leaving little space, if none, for privacy, let alone letting all the bathroom's smells get out to the main room

The location of this hotel is great. The staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were surprisingly spacious for a New York room. The reason I won’t be staying at this property again is because the bathroom shower was doorless and the water from the shower filled the bathroom floor because the slant of the floor to the drain wasn’t steep enough. We ended up having to save our used towels to make water barriers so that the shower water wouldn’t cover the entire bathroom floor. If a doorless shower doesn’t bother you, then this place would be a great place for you to stay!

Rooms were nice but too small. A simple call to front desk took very long for what i thiught was a simple task to be taken care of.

Much cleaner and more spacious than I had anticipated, which was a plus. Very walkable, close to Times Square and transportation. Can walk to 5th Ave/Madison Ave and Central Park within 30min, or take the subway. The only downfall was the tiny little shower in our room, that did not have a shower door or curtain, so the bathroom floor would be quite wet whenever someone showered. Not a huge issue, just an inconvenience for my group, but could be a slipping hazard for elders.

Overall the property was quite satisfactory, clean and quiet, with all necessary amenities. However, the shower design was quite odd. As there was no separation between the shower and the bathroom floor as a result, the shower water just flooded all over the floor and I had to mop it up with bath towels. It was not a question of my turning the water on too hard, because water volume is regulated by the faucet. It's just a weird design that I guess is meant to be a fashion statement but it's actually quite hazardous for people who could fall in the pools of water.

The staff. Staff is horrible. Very rude and inconsiderate especially when asking for simple tasks. There was two staff members during our entire stay of two weeks that were helpful. Asking for help for a ride back tot he airport be careful. No confirmation email just a handwritten note stating it’s confirmed. I’ve stayed in NY many times and have tried many hotels DO NOT STAY AT THE DELTA MARRIOT. Staff up front is horrible. They lack complete communication skills and room service and the cleaning of the room smh it doesn’t exist. Please don’t waste your time or energy for this hotel.

The Check in staff was not polite or helpful. I asked if they had map and was told ,yes, that was it. I wasn’t given a map, wasn’t shown where one was , nor did they offer to give me directions or any recommendations. I wasn’t pointed to the elevator and I wasn’t welcomed as a Marriott member. The whole experience was terrible, I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

This was possibly the best stay I’ve ever had. The staff was awesome, they had flexibility for check in and out times for free, the hotel was very nice and modern, location was super accessible to all of the city but on a quieter side street so not much noise. I’d give an 11/10 if I could.

Not a great stay. I was given a room key at check in. Went up to that room and there were people already in it. They had double booked the room. Being able to walk into someone else’s room in New York City was scary. We had to double lock our door just to make sure they wouldn’t allow anyone to enter our room like they had me do to others. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Terrible. I’ll start with check in. Upon arrival I was told that I had already checked into my room, and had been given the keys. Keep in mind I pre paid for this room. I was traveling with family. Come to find out they had given the room to my son. Different name. Didn’t ID him. And secured the deposit with someone else’s credit card. My son had his own reservation. All people with the same last names are not related. Thankful we were! But they didn’t ID him to see it wasn’t me at all. Then later that evening. I was awaken by three phone calls, and a knock on my door by an angry male! (Mind you I’m sleeping alone in this room with young women) so I was taken off guard. He’s literally yelling saying why is the smoke alarm going off downstairs! I said sir you just woke us up! How can I answer that question? He then brings the engineer up to check it, and yet again this same man is yelling, at a woman. And says that’s how he talks. Now being in the hospitality field, that’s totally unacceptable. I speak with the manager Steven and ask him if he can come up to the room to smell or see why the alarm was going off. He gets angry and says NO! I’m getting ready to leave. And said he’s charging me a $150 fee for a smoke fee for the alarm going off. Excuse me!?! Never again. Please women be cautious of traveling or staying in the room alone at this hotel. I don’t know what their intentions were, but I’ll never return! Never! I didn’t feel safe and felt as I was being watched.

The property is very well located if you come into the Port Authority. Rooms were simple and clean and comfortable! Staff was great and the coffee shop in the lobby is a great add. Also well priced. I would definitely stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and what made it unique is the hotel still had a bell hop. It was in times square, the charm of Manhattan. It was 2 mins walking distance from the subway. Central park is about a 20 mins away. This place is conveniently near shopping and a number of restaurants.

Overall a great experience with the hotel and staff. The location was good, it was not too far from Times Square and other sites to see. Just the surrounding areas was dirty and felt unsafe.

The Delta is a very reasonably priced hotel across from the Port Authority Buss Terminal on 40th street. It is close to Times Square, Broadway theaters and the Javitz Convention Center making a great location for tourist and people who have business in Midtown Manhattan. The staff was friendly and very professional. The room was quiet, a plus in NYC, and while basically furnished it was comfortable.

Approximately 2 blocks from Times Square (7th Ave). Convenient, walking distance to shopping, eating, transportation (subway ). In general, pleasant and helpful staff.

No breakfast available due to construction and also they did not have toothpaste and was told they will send it up and had to wait over 8 hours and the answer I got was oh we are out. That could have been said when I first asked for it. But as a hotel they should have these amenities

Hotel is a little dated, bar was a let down and over priced considering you can’t really spend time here outside of sleeping. There is no actual restaurant, just tables that you can eat at and order from the bar. Prices for food and drinks were the same as Marriott marquee but I’ll be staying there next time. I enjoyed my dinner and drinks elsewhere and was disappointed by that. Front desk agents were nice, rooms were clean, noise in our room was mostly from the elevator. It’s not for me, but for anyone that’s just looking for a nice enough, comfortable, and safe space, this is a good option.

I booked through expedia and 2 free breakfasts were suppsodd to be included. I showed the front desk whats included in the email you sent me. He refused to rectify the problem until i went to his supervisor. Her name was hillary and she approved the breakfast and said ahe would put a note in the systen. The next day we had breakfast and gave our room nunber. I was still charged for the breakfast. How do i get my money back?

It was overall a decent hotel Location was good a couple blocks from Times Square but parking garage was a bit of annoyance but that’s everywhere near Times Square. The bathroom sink drain was slow Other Than that everything else was clean Restaurant breakfast was good as well and convenient!
