Motel 6-Denison, TX

The room was ready when I arrived. Check-in was quick and efficient. The mini refrigerator wasn't working, and once staff was alerted, a new one was immediately placed. Though the building is older and the pool wasn't open, the property inside and out is clean and appears well-Maintained. My only suggestion is an ice machine on each floor.

There was no sign up for the pool staing it was closed for maintenance. Had to have the to fixed. The room telephone fixed. You could see the detas and patchwork on the doors and walls in the room.the doors were filthey. Did not provide bathtub plugs due to other people stealing them. Had the cheapest toilet paper. The towels were very run down and cheap and thin did not dry any ones body off.the offered little to none soap onlt one each of the single use packets about .5 oz each and each morning it would smell horribly of Sewage.

Happy with room however, they called me before I arrived and asked me if I needed the handicap room that I reserved, I didn't so they gave me a different room because someone needed it. I arrived and asked if they were going to compensate me like a upgrade. . They did not . Then the vending machine only had 3 items out of 35 spots with chips. Nothing else in machine all empty Pop machine didn't work. Then I told them I didn't need maid service. , however the maid did enter my room and gathered my trash and towels that was fine but I noticed that my milkduds was gone and I seen them on maids cart. . I know they were mine because I removed a flap on end of the box . I don't believe I threw them away .

I travel for dog shows and stay at Motel 6 whenever I can. But I must say that this was the most dog friendly and cleanest property I have had the opportunity to stay at. The stag was so friendly and helpful. Rooms were stocked and clean. The dog yard was pristine. It was a wonderful experience all the way around.

We were less than pleased with our stay at Motel 6 Denison. First off, it’s summer time in Texas, therefore, the pool should be open and accessible! One of the reasons we chose this motel was because of the outdoor pool, and we couldn’t use it! On top of that, the room and bathroom had zero ventilation, the shower was old and had cracks in it that were half ass patched, the ac didn’t cool the room down enough, the toilet broke and my boyfriend had to fix it in the middle of the night, the TV was going out, and the list goes on. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again, and a refund would be greatly appreciated.

Super convenient location..you can walk to ihop, panda express, Walmart. Big parking lot for oversized trucks, of if you are pulling a boat etc.

Hispanic Cookout going in front entrance, Pool Green, No Ice in machine, no amenities provided in Hotel Room, did not feel like a safe area, too many standing around.

They said they had a swimming pool my granddaughter was so disappointed because they have no water in there

Pros: bed was comfy. Shower was great. Plenty of hot water, water pressure & a detachable shower head. Cons: room stunk of mildew. A shelf was blocking the air conditioner so the room would not cool off. I ended up moving the furniture myself. Floors were sticky. There were blood stains on the sheets. ****At least I knew the sheets had been washed. But please throw away blood stained items.

Suitcase stand, Refrigerator and microwave. King size bed. Towels were rather skimpy but they always are at Motel 6. There were several restaurants within walking distance and it was located near the freeway.

One of the cleanest motel 6s I’ve stayed at.

The hallways were extremely humid. There was a thick layer of dust under the bed, and a mold smell coming from the AC, causing my wife to have a near medical emergency level asthma event and allergic reaction. An additional problem that we had was that the inlet valve to the toilet was shut off and when we turned it back on so we could flush the toilet we found it to be leaking. This was labeled as an accessible room but was too small for someone with a mobility device to maneuver. The only accessible feature was the hand railing around the toilet.

Food in the fridge. Hair in the towels.

It was very clean and we enjoyed our overnight stay.

Dirty… didn’t even finish my stay went to a different hotel….. pillows covered in stains bed had hair all over. Bathroom covered in pubes. Nasty.

Everything was great! Super clean, comfortable. My only complaint is walls are paper thin. You can hear everything.

The staff were very nice and friendly. The motel was ok. The room walls and door were paper thin which made any noise in the hallway or next door very loud inside our room. The doors slammed veey easy which just added to the overall noisy experience and made it very difficult to rest or sleep. You could hear everyones tv and conversations along with every door closing. Was not very peaceful but it was nice size, it was clean and again the staff were very pleasant.

Affordable and clean. One of the better Motel 6s I've ever seen. Geared to business Travelers it seems. Perfect if you just need a room for the night and aren't interested in extra amenities. It did have a fridge and microwave, the bed was quite comfortable. Nothing seems sketchy about it, staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Comfortable bed and friendly staff.

The first night was good. The room was on the 1st floor and very clean. The second night I was on the second floor in room 208. I could smell mold as I approached the room. Then I could really smell it when I opened it. It was very warm in the room and I could see that the thermostat was not working like the one did on the first floor. I went to the front desk to let the host know about the smell and the AC not working. I do not think he understood what I was saying about mold, but he showed he how to turn on the AC unit without the thermostat. It seemed that the smeill dissappated as it got cooler in the room.

Convenient for the places I was going as it was just two nights. Average for hotel and price. The staff was okay but could have been more friendly. No one really said hi or asked how my stay was or explain where things were etc. The room was clean, but very run down. Bed was so comfortable and you also get a fridge/ microwave! No fee for parking and no deposit. Thank you!

Room was clean. Beds were okay but pillows were hard. No hair dryer. We stay on the first floor and there was lots of noise. Staff were friendly. Bath towels were not very comfortable when drying off after showering. TV remote worked off and on but had good TV programming Cable. For the price for a Saturday night was reasonable.

Good price for a comfortable bed.

No key cards, tv picture was bad, bad channels, room looked clean, a.c was off when we arrived so the room was hot. The property was what i expected.

The stay was great until I checked out. Come to find out they never checked me in , so if the would have been busy I would have been kicked out for them not checking me in

The gentleman who checked us in was very polite and professional. The woman who manned the front desk after hours was remarkably unfriendly, and when greeted looked at us disdainfully, and like we were rudely interrupting her each time. Didn’t even respond to the greeting. The beds were reasonably comfortable, but they sit on a platform that is very slick so the mattress slides when you sit or get onto it. I hadnt encountered that in a hotel before.

Staff very plesant and helpful. We had a minor problem with the toilet and they were there quickly to fix it. Great price for a nice clean room.

1st of all the front desk locked up my husband's credit card. 2nd they gave us as room that was already occupied. Went back down to the front desk. Room #2 smelled like sewage and had an electrical outlet in the bathroom that was falling out of the wall! Back down to the service desk...finally get to the 3rd room to set off the smoke alarm when tje heater was turned on...almost jad the entire hotel have to be evacuated!

James, at the front desk, was awesome. Don’t know the females name, but she was too concerned with her cigarette to say anything to anyone. The property was average. The rooms were small and not overly dirty, just not well kept. Had to life the door to get the door to lock. Paint on the floors and in the shower. Bathroom door was broken. No comforter on the bed. Just a sheet and very thing blanket. The towels and sheets had a funky smell. Our debacle- my friend reserved the room with a “pay at the property” option. She had some fraud on her bank account so they issued her a new debit card. Several hours before check in time, Motel 6 ran her card and it was, of course, declined. So instead of calling us to verify or see if we wanted to use a different card, then cancelled the reservation. We were driving from several hours away and would not have known about this u til we arrived, had her bank not called her to let her know about the declined charge on her old card. She calls Motel 6 to pay for the room with her new card and is told our reservation for a king room was cancelled and all they had was a double room. I immediately got on the website to verify availability, and low and behold, a king room was available. So I booked it. Do NOT book with this hotel if you want a good experience. Only book if you want a cheap room me don’t care about cleanliness, safety, or helpful staff.

The staff was very good and helpful. The location was convenient. The building appeared fairly new but showed an unusual amount of damage and unsightly efforts at repair. I just wanted a safe room with bed and shower and that's what I got.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The only negative was I did not like the pillows, but ultimately that is a personal choice. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The front desk clerk made you feel like you were a child. Also the parking rules are so dumb and ridiculous.

This was the 2nd time I stayed here. Liked it enough to book it again for August. Close enough to Austin College where my son attends school. Clean and comfortable. As a single woman I feel safe there as well.

This is a very bare bones motel - no coffee in the rooms, no breakfast of any kind. Just know what you are paying for, and if it is not what you are looking for, move on.
