Check in experience was dull, unfriendly and unhelpful. The female colleague clearly like wanted to be somewhere else. An early evening Sunday arrival meant no food or drink available other than room service = cold comfort. On the other hand the rooms were warm, clean and comfortable. There must be a better overall experience downtown in Sioux Falls given significant competition.

We really enjoyed the hotel. It was very clean and quiet but one elevator was out the entire time and we were on the top floor. Thankfully they didn’t seem to be very full. The site indicates that there is a restaurant on the premises according to Hotels.com what it failed to mention is that it’s a breakfast bar that closes at 10/10:30 AM and the other “restaurant” is a bar that only serves appetizers. Other than that we really did enjoy our stay.

Terrible experience. Could not park at hotel as was full. Receptionist not helpful. Gave me a QR code and directions to another car park via a leaflet with no verbal explanation. Directions were poor, when we got there the QR code didn’t work. Drove back to hotel and spoke to the receptionist who was useless and should not be involved with anything customer service related, so, paid for valet parking as that was the only option left which let’s face it is another unwanted tax for most people. The room was ok but there was some sort of sweet on the floor which was covered in hair so obviously been there a while. We had 2 door keys but one did not work. The shower was not really suitable for women that don’t want to wash their hair? The shower head is about 12 feet high and comes directly down into the shower area and not moveable and no shower cap was available in our room. The room was also on the 9th floor and only one lift was working so there was a bit of a wait for the lift both ends. The room was above the road so was loud at night. So I’d take earplugs if you’re brave enough to book a night or 2 here. This hotel has quite honestly been the biggest disappointment of our holiday.

I absolutely love this hotel. It has a great vibe and is in a great location. I also really enjoy The Treasury on site. My favorite place to stay in Sioux Falls!

We booked a suite that had a kitchen that we needed for dietary reasons. When we arrived the air conditioner would not turn off. The temperature was 50 degrees. We called the manager who couldn't turn it off. He then offered us another room at a much lower level without a kitchen. When we asked if we could get a refund for the difference, he said no because we had booked with Hotels.com. This seemed like a classic bait and switch as there were a number of complaints about the air conditioner in that room. We asked that they call the repairman. The manager said that the repairman did not work on weekends. So causing customers to freeze for 2 days was not enough to bring in a repairman. Because of the dietary needs, we stayed in the suite and wore heavy sweaters the whole time we were there at the beginning of August! The manager borught a space heater, but it blew the electricity and we couldn't use it. When we checked out we complained and the man behind the desk screamed at us for disparaging the manager. A bellhop that heard this conversation apologized and said that this is not the first time that this happened, both the air conditioner and the yelling at customers. In addition, there are many cars playing loud music outside the hotel that made it difficult to sleep despite us being on a high floor. It was the worst hotel experience we've had over the 100s of hotels we've been at. We received $50 refund for each night, but no apology.
