Good location, right inside the old souq. Good rooms and especially helpful, friendly staff. Note, there are multiple Tivoli hotels at Souq Waqif-- they share the same main lobby building, and the staff will transport you and your luggage on golf carts to your specific building. If you are calling in a driver or taxi, they will likely try to meet you at the main lobby, not your building, FYI.

I stayed for 3 nights at the hotel next to the metro station exit. Lovely old fashioned building. Friendly staff and very clean. Had dinner in their restaurant one night and was lovely sitting outside watchinf the souq go by. The gymn had some tired looking equipment but not a big problem. The pool is unheated and is a little chilly but very refreshing and I had it to myself. Very handy for the souq and to get on the metro. And there's a taxi rank at the opposite end of the souq.

Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli comprise of 8 hotels in the Souq Waqif area. I stayed in the Aljomrok and had a wonderful suite (room 101). The restaurant on the 2nd floor has spectacular views of the city skyline by night. Breakfast was included but in another property nearby, I called for an escort and was picked up in a golf cart, which is available to all guests when required. The Souq itself was a wonderful warren of tiny shops. The staff at all the tivoli properties are hard working, extremely polite and friendly.

I had a suite that was very large and absolutely lovely. This is one of the few hotels that actually honors the Do Not Disturb sign. I stayed on North America time and did not often leave the room until 4 or 5 p.m. I was never hassled and was supplied with coffee, tea, water, and sugar as needed. I would love to come back and bring my wife. The location in the heart of the Souk Waqif is wonderful. Getting in and out with luggage is a bit wonky because taxis cannot come all the way to the door, but they have a golf cart to run guests and luggage to and from the taxi stand. The only disappointment was trying to book a 10 p.m. departure hours in advance and told to let them know about 10 minutes before I needed the cart. I did so happily and than got fed up when almost 20 minutes later there was no cart. I ended up walking to the taxi rank with my luggage. It was probably the best solution to start with. Finding your way to the hotel would be harder without the golf cart service. Going back to the taxi rank once you know where you are is just a few minute walk and easy. I should have just chilled out... The internet was good and worked outside as well at their restaurant. The pool is tiny and offsite. I never used the gym. All in all, I would say a visit to Qatar is well worth the time and money and one of the better trips I have done in years--and I have been to 96 countries and travel frequently. When I come back, I will definitely check out this hotel.

There are 6-8 properties in this chain dotted in and around the Souq, mine was just a few meters from the Souq Waqif subway exit. The service was exceptional! My room was very big and very comfortable, once I figured out how to control the air condiotioning. There is a restaurant on site but breakfast is taken in another hotel which you get to by golf buggy. There is a pool on the second floor and a decent sized gym in the basement. There's also a lovely verandah which looks out onto the Souq. We were located at one of the entrances. The subway will take you direct to the airport with one change of train. The cost is 6 Ryals (£1.50) and the ticket is valid all day. Please note, the subway does not start until 14.00 on a Friday. The whole subway system is climate controlled. The Souq is great!

It's not entirely clear from the description, but Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels is a collection of several hotel buildings dotted around the Souq Waqif area in Doha. As a collection, they have all the different things you might expect from a four- or five-star hotel: a range of restaurants, swimming pool, spa, and so on. BUT - you may find that the actual building you are in only has rooms, no other facilities. My room was in the Najd building and was comfortable. To use a swimming pool, I had to cross over to a different hotel building. Getting breakfast was a 10min walk to a building on the other side of the Souq (or I could have summoned a little golf cart to take me there). It's not at all easy to work out which buildings have the various facilities, especially as they seem to open and shut restaurants on a seasonal basis. Having said that, my room was comfortable, the location is great, and I enjoyed my stay. My flight was unexpectedly early and my room wasn't ready when I arrived earlier than predicted. I was OK with waiting on a pleasant terrace, but would have liked to at least be offered a glass of water on a hot day. As it was, I enjoyed the lemon/mint drink and coffee that I ordered.

The hotel is part of a group of boutique hotels in and around the Souk Wakif market which was a bit confusing at first. I was amazed how clean the market area is kept. Early in the morning there is a small army of men sweeping and (I couldn’t believe it) mopping the streets before the market opens. The hotel itself is literally spotless. It feels like a 5 star hotel with all the amenities and very reasonably priced. I recommend this place highly!

First day I hit my foot and it became swollen and hurt severely and couldn’t walk . It was night almost 21 o’clock . I asked a staff to bring me plaster. But there was no plaster in the hotel ( no plaster in the Qatar , I found later ) another staff bring me to the pharmacy in the city by golf car which belong to the hotel . The first pharmacy didn’t have any anti- inflammation thing , but the second one had anti- inflammation gel and cancel supporter. After they bring back to me to my hotel room , another woman staff brought me much ices with bowl and cloth , later she brought me another ices in the thick plastic bag which would be better. And then she asked me to allow her to come into my room , and I said yes , she put that ices on my foot and put the pillow under my foot . Next day I found the swelling of my foot had gone and I could walk. I felt their hospitality and kindness so much . It was over just only I was a guest not but Qatar’s people are very kindness and politely . Thank you very very much about it. I will never forget their kindness. After that every staff said when they met me “how is your foot? “ The boutique hotel was comfortable and it is very convenient place in Souq Waqif where traditional market place and people gathered for having dinner there. Although the building and towels are little old but clean and breakfast buffet was very nice.

Didn’t get to spend as much time enjoying the hotel as I would have preferred due to delayed arrival, but the extended check out on account of that fact was appreciated. The room was comfortable and quiet with views towards Al Corniche. The rooms are a little dated, but still very comfortable. The only draw back was difficulty in operating the lights. Struggled to turn them off and then back on again. Why do hotels make light switches so complex?!

Beliggenheten på hotellet er helt supert, men selve hotellet mangler en del for å få toppscore. Hotellet er fordelt over flere bygg og er uoversiktlig. Vinduet var gjemt bak store tunge gardiner og trelemmer og lot seg ikke åpne. Det var ikke vindu som vendte ut, men mot en gang og det føltes som å være i fengsel. Veldig mørkt og stusselig. Ventilasjonen var vanskelig å justere, noe som gjorde sengetøyet veldig klamt. Føltes litt som å bo i en kjellerleilighet. Vannet i dusjen var altfor varmt og vanskelig å regulere. Ikke et hotell jeg vil anbefale for noen.

Superior location, comfortable and clean room, excellent breakfast (although be aware it is served in a different building) and amenable staff. There are 8 separate boutique hotels in the souq and the downside is that they didn’t confirm which property I would be at nor did they indicate which property to go to for check-in. They never provided me directions to the hotel for my arrival by metro from the airport and when I did locate the hotel, check-in was painfully slow.

We really enjoyed our stay at Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels. The location was perfect — right in the heart of the Souq and within walking distance to many attractions, museums, and metro stations. Great location if you want to be in the heart of the Souq Waqif in Doha. It’s walking distance to lots of restaurant options, the Gold Souq, the Corniche and the train station. The Souq taxi stand is also close by. The bed was comfortable and the decor reminded you of staying in a Riad. Definitely recommend.

Bed was lovely. Was just an overnight stop over. We were leaving before breakfast, so they gave us a bag to go which had OJ fresh, fruit and pastries. They dropped us to the taxi area to get back to the airport.
