The Dominick Hotel

Perfect location for the girls trip with my 15year old daughter. Soho shopping was great! The pool was fantastic and the location was less than a block to the subway. We rode the subway all week and never felt unsafe. Excellent hotel, we will be back!

Room is spacious and location is good, but this hotel”s elevators are terrible. Whenever I waited elevator, I had to wait at least 10 minutes. I was late every reservations. iIt took 30 minutes from lobby to the room to pick up my stuff. If you want to go there check they fix the elevator or not.

The hotel was very nice. Spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, and nice bathroom with shower and large tub. It was nice have microwave in the room. View toward Hudson River was great from the 23rd floor. Staff was very helpful. It was also great having the Spa facilities in the hotel. Availability of a variety of restaurants close by was a bonus.

Wonderful staff, friendly and helpful. Room, room service and in room amenities excellent. However: gym is sub par; hardly any other amenities; bar mediocre; pool closed (still cold weather).

The views can’t be beat, great pool area, furniture and interior is a bit worn One elevator was inoperable and the wait times hit 5 minutes just to get down to the lobby at one point Great location Great pool but someone should have explained the first come first serve and that those people would be using the lounges all day and the wait list never worked out

Staff very friendly and helpfull. Impeccable servise. Recent elevator upgrade was a disaster. Unbearibly long waits, cars skip floors randomly. Major nuisance.

This hotel is wonderful in many way, beautiful, clean, staff is incredible! The outdoor pool is amazing!!

Walls are paper thin and we were next to a family with two toddlers and a screaming baby. Pool is full of kids splashing and was not relaxing at all - also not on the roof which was disappointing. Hotel needs a major tech upgrade - TV didn't have streaming and didn't really work so could only watch cable, automatic drapes didn't work, elevators were constantly breaking so we would have to wait 15-20 mins just to get up and down from the room (which for a business trip is insane, was so late to meetings).

Room and location are top notch. Hotel is definitely 5 star. Gym is nice. Restaurant downstairs has great food. Only complaint is their elevators need repair. They were almost always slow to arrive and or full which caused hotel guests delays. I saw many people complaining about them.

Hotel was great but could definitely use some sprucing up and a better cleaning service. Room was dusty and not that clean. Common areas looked a little dingy. Location, pool, and room size were all great.

The shower was a bit moldy

Room carpets are desperately in need of cleaning. Hallways are not well cleaned as well.?

The hotel is in an amazing location, and the staff were amazing too. The views are incredible. However, the room was poorly maintained. The carpets were very stained, the smell in the rooms was very strong like BO, or sewage. The sofa was dirty, so we could not use it as a third bed, and the water was coming out of the shower. It is a shame because the shower was so good. And they cleaned the bathrooms well, The air in the halls was very stale. The shower products were nice. I do hope that the hotel invest in renovation of the rooms. And removes all the carpets, because it is so worth it. By far all the staff is the best asset of the hotel.

The carpets in the room were incredibly dirty. Had to ask for towels/none in the room. Could hear the staff throughout the entire night. Very bad experience. The front desk staff were very accomodating.

We were impressed from the start by the greeting we got at check in. We were early for our check in and didn't expect to have a room but they gave us one anyway and told us that it wasn't just any room either. They were right. It was spacious for a NYC hotel and very stylish and comfortable. The location is just at the edge of Soho and a short stroll from everything we love in NY. A quick subway ride brought us to the theatre on Broadway and the mid-town mayhem. Can't recommend this place enough. We were happy to retire to this peaceful, modern, clean and elegant haven at the end of the night. My fiancée says this will be our only hotel in NY from now on. Many thanks to the friendly housekeeping staff and the front desk. The restaurant Vestry is also fabulous!

The room we checked into had a terrible smell of body odor throughout, as well as the hallways and elevator area it smelled like airplane food. We asked to switch to a new room which they kindly accommodated but the second Rumm they transferred us to was even worse it had a slightly less body odor stench, but it had a large discoloration on the carpet. They clearly had recently covered up a stain. We then requested to go back to the original room as it was larger and felt a little cleaner despite the smell. After spending the first night there in our prepaid night stay we decided to leave early and check into another hotel. We weren’t able to get a refund through Expedia because the customer service through Expedia is a nightmare. It is very difficult to get a hold of a live agent over the phone. We lost the second night but if we were to stay it would have ruined the entire trip.

Our room was nicely proportioned, bathrooms were spacious, well equipped and clean. Only complaint would be that my Mom was charged $17.00 for a glass of orange juice. By any standard, that is OUTRAGEOUS

Clean and the location was great! Housekeeping was fantastic! Such a nice touch finding chocolate by our bedside every night. We also loved the Diptyque hotel amenities. Im so glad we stayed in this hotel! What a great experience.

hotel was nice....but on a very loud traffic corner especially at night. had a room with a sitting room so had good space but the hotel rooms are a bit dated. also had trouble getting hot water for shower.

This is a spectacular hotel. I upgraded to a room with a view— and what a view! From the midtown skyscrapers to downtown with the Brooklyn Bridge in clear view. The room was spacious and comfortable.

The wind was rattling the windows and kept me up all night. A loud rattle. Also the doors have no sound proofing. Can hear everything in the halls including elevator dings.

PROS: great view from the upper floors, spacious, well appointed, good amenities CONS: area is a bit noisy, blackout drapes were ineffective, mattress definitely needed changing

The hotel is very beautiful, the location is fantastic, and we had nice interactions with everyone who worked there. The reason I can't give it a great rating is twofold: --We were in NY for a formal, black tie event. The bathroom was as dark as a cave and it was just awful trying to put on makeup in a very dimly lit room. The mirror had a strip of lighting on the left side that cast terrible shadows over your face and left the other side of your face in total darkness. I am pretty minimal on makeup, it takes me less than five minutes to do my own, but I was so frustrated trying to see what the heck I was doing and not come out looking like a clown. I love a good aesthetic, but bathrooms need to be functional. I was telling my best friend who lived in NYC for many years about my issue and she said she vividly remembered staying there in the past and having the exact same problem. --Second: we were on the side facing the Holland Tunnel which apparently is a city planning nightmare. The right two lanes enter the tunnel and during rush hour, people line up blocks and blocks away waiting over an hour to enter the tunnel. Other people who are not following traffic signs either because they are out of towners or trying to skip the line, try to cut in at the last minute. This leads frustrated commuters to lay on their horn for minutes on end as they voice their frustration with the chaos. From 3pm to 10pm every day, expect no less than ten cars to be endlessly honking.

Special thanks to Raquel at the front desk. Love the area around the hotel. It may be time for a bit of a refresh on the rooms but overall a great property. One final note, the elevator situation needs to be fixed asap!

We had an excellent trip and loved our stay at The Dominick! Staff was great and very helpful!

I was told that I got an upgrade being an Expedia platinum member. Then I was billed for $150 per night for the upgrade fee. The manager said it's because the room was two level upgrade which wasn't explained to me when I checked in.

The Dominick's staff truly made the trip unforgettable! I would personally like to thank Gabby who made my wife really comfortable, and did everything she could to get us the best possible experience! Would definitely stay here again! My only gripe is traffic was a nightmare! However, the staff quickly makes you forget about all of that, they valet your car, and immediately attend to your luggage! The view from our room was incredible, especially at night!!

Received a charge a day after checking out Have called 3 times to try to get an explanation NO response inexcusable

This was a wonderful experience. The service with some of the best I’ve ever experienced. The staff was very attentive and was able to accommodate all my wins. It was truly a pleasurable experience.

This is a fantastic hotel and very very luxurious. It was so easy to get around SOHO, Washington Square, Broadway, the Villages. Highly recommend!

Great location stay at the Dominik Great location and great staff

The Dominick was an excellent choice in a great part of NYC. Nice rooms with and a helpful and pleasant front desk staff. The only downside was the small lobby.

Location was amazing

Great location in soho, close enough to walk to many other communities. Little Italy, china town, broad street shopping, noho and many more! Quick cab up to Bryant park and the macys herald square! And food everywhere!

Very spacious room at the western corner of SoHo - steps to C/E subway express to midtown; a few more steps to the heart of SoHo. Newer property. Will return.

The place is beautiful, absolutely splurge and treat yourself to the VIP rooms and the spa. The staff is really great, the location is pretty convenient. It is a good true New York experience hotel. Only critique: I noticed there was additional charges on my room service bill. On the phone I was told my order was about $30. I ordered cereal, a bagel and a water. When it arrived, I noticed that were additional fees, I was not previously told about, causing the bill to cost $65. I understand that there’s up charges when it comes to room service, but not knowing how much the up charges were going to be was extremely annoying. Had I known, I would’ve made other arrangements for myself.

There is a restaurant in the same building Aitana that is spectacular, I recommend it.

Overall good, lighting was definitely an issue - manual lamps awful & auto panel seemed to have mind of its own. Housekeeper completely rearranged our stuff which was awkward. Check in was challenging - we were told only about 10 mins & we waited in lobby. Then after 45 mins of not being called, went back up to desk to find our room was ready. Frustrating after long day of flights. Hotel staff was nice & location was great. Unfortunately we couldn’t get a drink as the place seemed close everytime we went to it. So we just used the bar fridge which we were charged for when I had 89$ credit that went unused. Stay was good but for level of hotel definitely some opportunities. Thx
