Convenient, safe, and easy parking.

The service was really nice, the breakfast was really good (actually liquid scrambled eggs, not from a powder, I saw the bags in their fridge in back). OJ was actually Simply Orange ( not from concentrate, super super good). Plenty of options for me. I’ve seen more other places, I liked the breakfast overall. Now, the room we got, mixed bag. Bathroom and room itself is nice and big, however our room didn’t have a swinging security latch at all, and the side door that was supposed to only be openable by someone with a room key was just propped open with a chair both nights we were there. Also, beware, the Outdoor (they don’t really show it on Expedia) pool is pretty small, I’d say a maximum comfortable limit of like 6 people. Plus both the pool floor covers were just detached and sliding all over the bottom of the pool, leaving a giant hazard for your feet if you’re not paying attention. And then the second night, the long metal cover for the fabric pool cover that’s stored in the ground next to the deep end (for winter) was just -removed- so there’s this giant gaping hole just waiting for someone to trip into right next to the pool. Super odd. I’ll probably stay elsewhere next time I’m in town.

It was clean, the beds were comfortable, the pool was open, but it’s pretty small and looks out onto a commercial property. The pool door is left unlocked into the hotel during open times. There is a fence around the pool, but it is hop-able. Breakfast was basic. There was no seating available, as a large group took up many of the tables and sat with their group after they were done visiting with each other. Many families came in to eat and had to wait while other families rushed to allow their seating for them or sat in the lobby. It would have been nice for the hotel staff to recognize the inconvenience caused by the large group to the rest of the hotel guests and if they asked them to depart from the dining area to the lobby to continue their conversation and visit. The only other thing to note is that the air conditioning fan would not stay on despite the setting to on and not auto. We had to put it to 60 to feel comfortable. The doors are very thin. We were right by the elevator and heard every single time it dinged to open up.

Outdoor pool warm clean 4th of july. We could watch two different sets of fireworks from pool.

The facility was clean and well kept. Our room was very nice, but we were disappointed that a motel in the price range did not supply clean towels daily without request. Also, exterior rear door lock was broken and doors were standing open for anyone to walk in at any time. There was even a sign on the lock saying “Broken.” An obvious security and safety concern. Breakfast ant served until 7, and I’m usually gone for the day by then. Breakfast food was ok, just scrambled eggs and carb stuff, no meat. Hotel room very comfortable but overall experience lacking. Rarely saw a staff member, appears to be understaffed.

The elevator needs to be upgraded. Otherwise, our overall stay was good for the value.

Rooms need updating , pool is undesireable. Mini fridge was filthy. Soap holders in bathroom were not clean

Our check-in receptionist became quite rude with me after learning that the email was mine but the phone number was my daughter’s . She did the booking as I am technologically challenged. I gave my number, a home landline. Then when it was time to sign, I wanted to use the stylus to keep my fingers free of the obvious germs on it by all the fingerprints. She grabbed it out of my hand, slammed it back into its holder, and harshly said I had to use my finger and hand sanitizers were available. But the hand sanitizers near the desk and by the elevator did not work. For every question I had she replied condescendingly. When another patron walked up, interrupting with a question, the receptionist replied with a sickeningly sweet tone. It was obvious she wanted me to know she was purposely treating me so rudely. Her professionalism was lacking. I was not rude to her. After a very long two day drive from Houston, I was surprised by her attitude to any guest let alone to myself. My daughter, a teacher of many years, couldn’t believe what she’d just seen. Gratefully, the receptionist from the next evening was very pleasant and fully professional to us; she was dealing with an elevator and phone system that quit working. Much better at her post. The breakfast servers did a really good job and were so friendly. We were there for 4 days for our family’s 101st reunion. My husband and I had stayed here in 2020 and I could easily see that things had deteriorated.

Great staff and decent hotel. Use of side doors would be nice.

Clean all good

Room we got on one of the beds had what looked like dried urine and semen on it.we were given another room, the coffe maker had dried up and moldy used coffee pads in it. The only thing that was good, the front desk was friendly and very apologetic about the situation

The staff were excellent and me and my daughter feel welcome. The Head of Maid Service who cleaned our room was very professional and did an awesome job. She is an asset to your organization.

All staff members were friendly and welcoming. Facility is in very good shape. Room was nice and clean.

Overall, it is OK for one night stay. We were in Room# 328. Shower tub was squeaking too much. Shower walls were not cleaned (had lot of hair on it). Breakfast was decent and service was very nice.

More than half the carpet was wet. I think from the AC unit. But it smelled like musty water and like it had been stagnant for days. Otherwise the bed was comfy and the shower was nice. Front desk attendant was nice.

Hotel was average but the room had a mildew smell especially when the ac was on. Need more attention to detail on cleaning found old cooked rice on the ledge by the microwave.

We didn't get much sleep during our stay because the person in the room next to us (room 109) had their TV BLARRING all night long. I finally went to the front desk at 3:40 a.m. and complained. The person I spoke to said they would call the person in the room and ask them to turn down their TV. I don't know if she called the person in the room or not, but nothing changed. The TV remained blasting loud. So at 4:30 a.m. I went to the front desk and complained again. The lady said she would take care of it. She tried calling the room and knocking on the door and finally the person turned down the TV around 4:45 a.m. Neither one of us could get back to sleep after that so we finally got up at 6:00, got cleaned up, ate breakfast and got ready to leave. As we were checking out, we informed the person at the front desk of our experience. After doing so, her response to us was "Oh." That was it. No "I'm sorry." Or "I'm sorry that happened. Is there anything we can do to make things better?" Nothing. Just "Oh." Don't people actually care about their customers and their experience? Don't they actually want people to come back and stay again? We hadn't stayed at a Comfort Inn in a while. We won't be back.

The walls felt so thin, I don't think I've ever noticed this as much in other hotels before.

This is the second time we’ve stayed for a race. Always clean and the beds are big and comfortable. Will stay every year.

Check-in was fine & the room was clean. But if you’re going to put someone in the room right next to the third-floor elevator, offer a discount. Seriously, the elevator dinged nearly nonstop starting around 5:30 am until 8. Someone was vacuuming around 8 or earlier. Someone was outside doing maintenance or yardwork. It was a Saturday. Seriously, if you can’t sleep in a hotel, what’s the point of being there? I’ve been coming to this hotel for years when visiting my mom, but this was the last time.

Very attentive staff clean and safe

First of all, I can’t say enough about the staff. I arrived on Sunday and had accidentally requested a handicapable room. My bad. The staff swiftly, efficiently and thoroughly cleaned a room for me and they did a wonderful job. I interacted with the staff on four separate occasions and each time, they were LOVELY! The room was very clean and had ample towels, soaps, etc. checkout was easy and breakfast was wonderful. The sweet lady this morning was working hard to make sure that there was always fresh coffee. 5 star experience for a great price. Great job team, thank you.

The desk staff were prompt and courteous, I was able to check in early, go to my destination and that was awesome. It saved me from having to deal with check in at 10 pm when I would have been SO tired. The breakfast was a surprise, it was hot eggs, there were biscuits and gravy, and fresh waffles. I was amazed at how good it was. It was a great start to my day. Overall it was a basic facility, however, I would stay there again, it was comfortable and quiet and easy to get to right off 65. Nice staff too!

Property and room were nice. No real issues except the lack of workers. The overworked lady at the front desk tried very hard to take care of everything and did a pretty good job but definitely could use help.

Easy to find .. excellent staff. Great breakfast and breakfast manager.

Away from crowds and traffic, with several small towns nearby. Lowell is a hidden gem to be explored. Disappointed in the breakfast or lack there of. But the Old dog coffee shop is amazing

Convenient access off of the Highway.

It was isolated so it may not be for everyone but it was great for us. Quiet, safe and right off the exit. It was very close to what we needed in Merrillville. I would come back. The manager and front desk clerk were pleasant.

Easy to find

Decent property. Check in was quick, and the room was comfortable. The room was close to the elevator, so there was occasional noise. But, no enough to cause a problem. The bathtub seemed a bit old. It squeaked quite a bit while showering. Breakfast was a standard chain-property Continental-style. Alright overall. The location is quiet and a relatively short drive to Northern Indiana. Overall, I would stay there again!

It is off of the highway with the towns close by. There are plenty of fast food close by or the small towns have places and things to do.

It was close to our destination and right off the interstate. Clean comfortable rooms. Would stay again if in the area.

It wasn't their fault but it is out in the middle of field with no buildings. And it was only 28 but it felt like it was 10 below. I had to park car up by building to make sure it would start. (That is not an exaggeration). But it started fine. My issue with place was 2 things. I could not get on the internet after many tries without calling some number that I didn't know who I was calling. Instead of password. so I never signed on at all. And then in 3 days I only saw a clerk at the entry desk once without ringing a bell. At all hours of the day. Did not like that. The first day we had to ring it several times.But didn't take that long. And she was not most friendly. I asked her about internet and she said she knew nothing about it. We would stay there again though.

Excellent breakfast!

Place is convenient, clean, and has a pretty good breakfast. The lady who takes care of breakfast room is a peach and most probably deserves a raise. Bed was comfy but I didn't like the pillows.
