Stayed at this hotel because of it had a heated indoor pool. Out of commission for quite a while and did not let anyone know. Called before booking and asked. The person on the phone said no problem. Got there and no water in the pool and had not had any in quite a while. Elevators are noisy and unsafe. Doors open before stopping at the correct place to line up with the floor. My partner walked out and almost fell into the lobby. Our room was right next to them, and they were banging open and closed all night. Front desk was ok but said the pool issue was hotels.com for not letting people know that the pool in not useable.

This property always offers friendly staff upon your arrival and throughout the stay. It is easy access to all the areas in Salem. The rooms are great every time I have visit. Just a minor spot in the carpet this past time I was there. At one point the elevator did not work but the repair was rapid by the maintenance personnel. I would definitely stay at this location once again.

The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful! The room was clean and spacious. The only thing we didn’t like was that they never came to clean our room during our two night stay, even when we requested it. We had an overflowing trash can and had to reuse towels. Housekeeping seemed to be non existent. Also something to note is that the pool does NOT include a hot tub as advertised.

Good hotel. Paid $25 for the dog which I guess it's understandable but I feel they're know as a pet friendly hotel and there should be no charge. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Everything was good. Breakfast was better than most but the hotel cost was a bit higher than most. I would stay here again.

The first room we had checked into wasn’t cleaned from the previous stay so they had to change our rooms. The second room we went into was filthy. All countertops were dirty. The sheets and bed cover were stained like something had been spilled. The bedding was also dirty. The floors weren’t vacuumed as well.

After we settled in our room we noticed a lot of dirty hair and dust all over the floor. It was getting on our bed with our socks and the pillows/mattress are so cheap and uncomfortable. Called front office to ask if someone can please come sweep and clean the floors and the check in person said she was the only one here. Expensive for one night only for the room to be dirty and bed/ pillows be so uncomfortable we barely got any sleep here it was so noisy at night people being loud on top of our body aching from the uncomfortable pillows and cheap mattress that is super noisy when you move. What a waste of money. Very disappointed.

Breakfast was just okay, I had better free breakfast. Mold on wall in bathroom. Over all just okay. Probably wouldn't stay again, but nothing so horrible I had to leave.

They had oat porridge, boiled egg and decaff coffee which was great healthy options. The sink and bathroom mirror was in the main room which was very annoying. Much better if it had been in the bathroom. And a mirror and table had been in the main room

If you stay here and need sleep, request the top floor. We had the pleasure of listening to the guest above us pace his room for 3 hours and we heard every step as the floorboards creak like an old wooden ship. Otherwise, check in was great, comfy bed and very clean.

It qas so loud I thought the walls may have been made of paper. I could clearly hear neighbors conversation as well as the conversations in the hallway. The bed was so uncomfortable. Like the springs were broken down. Quite a few tweaker people hanging around the place too.

This hotel was very clean and pleasant. The air in the hotel room was fresh and the room was very comfortable. The proprietors were extremely friendly. My original room ended up having very loud neighbors; I've never asked to be moved before, but they moved me quickly and with humor about the situation. Hands down, this was my favorite hotel stay.

We booked this hotel for 4 nights. On our third night, around 9pm we were relaxing and chatting, and heard the door click open, MUCH TO OUR SURPRISE. We rushed to the door and slammed it closed. After a brief, VERY TENSE moment with a group of people, we assessed the situation and found that they had a door card to our room, given to them by the front desk clerk. We travel a lot. We NEVER expect someone to traipse into our space unannounced. My husband is an Army Veteran and has service related PTSD. We are both extremely grateful that he restrained himself and did not attack the person who opened the door. Front desk clerk, Stephanie, apologized woth a million excuses. And then ran her mouth when she thought I'd entered the elevator. Manager wouldn't come out of the office when we checked out the next morning. I was supposed to receive an email, but never did. DND was on the door our entire stay. Video camera was right ourside of our door to record the incident.

Great service, friendly and helpful staff! The AC/heater was not working properly as the dial was broken off. Requested help, service man used his pliers to set it where it had to stay while we were there for the week. I was too short to get up on the bed and the staff was accommodating enough to provide a ‘step up’ for me. Was very pleased w/everyone there.

I enjoyed my stay at this location for Nike Nationals for 3 days. The staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was very nice. Being my first time at la Quinta Salem, I was amazed by how neat the room and bathroom were and it was consistently cleaned, replenished towels by the time we got back. I was very pleased with my stay.

The room needs work. Floor is wet and rotting below the air conditioner in room 247. The bathroom was not as clean as it could be. We did not receive breakfast even though we arrived downstairs 15 minutes before it was supposed to end. There was absolutely zero food.

Stayed 2 nights with children. Free parking, free wifi, free breakfast and friendly staff. The pool was a plus. Very close to the Oregon State Capitol and Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church. For the price we paid compared to other hotels where you have to pay for parking and no breakfast — it was all worth it!

Breakfast was the highlight of this one night stay. A lot to choose from and continually restocked. The coffee was not good in the lobby or the room. Our TV never did work as someone had unplugged the HDMI cable and we were unable to reach behind the TV mount to replug it. No problem with people unplugging to setup their laptop streaming but make sure you leave the room as you found it. The hallway noise in the morning made it impossible to sleep late. Doors slamming and people walking. Need more soundproofing.

Upon checking into my room there was still stuff left over from the last person, which I promptly turned into the front desk. The breakfast leaves a lot of taste to the imagination. The orange juice is the right color but very flat in taste, the sausage wasn’t cooked all the way. The eggs were ok with a little ketchup and s&p, coffee was burnt. Yogurt was very lack luster in flavor. But staff was friendly and pleasant. Nice that there is no carpet in the rooms, rooms are nicely updated.
