Obviously this is not a 5 star resort but for the money, it was fine. The staff was polite. The room was very clean, but outdated. Contrary to what the website says, the only hot tub is apparently in one of the private suites but all the ground floor units appear to be handicap accessible but I'm not sure about bathtubs and things like that. There is a small pool which was very nice. It was very clean and it apparently was brand new as far as resurfacing and tile will work. And although it's not technically a continental breakfast, they had the typical free breakfast. I think there was cereal orange juice, some fruit, some toast, a Waffle maker and coffee. As with any hotel, you can hear the people in the other room, if they're too loud, there is a train that goes by. I did not see any Golf course. Early Monday morning ,the garbage trucks come and they are very, very loud, but other than that, it was pleasant.

The management here was friendly though a bit difficult to understand. My only complaints were that there was no hot tub as advertised and the Continental Breakfast was only waffles and syrup. They had put out cereal but there was no milk. We had to ask them to turn the machine on as well. My travel partner was up at 6am when they were supposed to start breakfast and they didn't even start putting it out until 8am. So I would rate this place at 3.5 stars if there were half places.

First off remember you’re in old Magnolia,TX when reading this review… I’m completely comparing it to the surrounding town. Check in was fast friendly and simple. My room was fresh, remodeled, welcoming and clean. There is a small ice machine and vending area onsite as well as within walking distance a grocery store dollar store several restaurants and fast food. I believe there is a liquor store and tobacco shop as well. They do have a pool it was clean and the area itself was clean and tidy. Itself had a couple missing tiles but nothing hazardous. They do offer breakfast but I slept in but typically coffee juice waffles cereal fruit ect. Check out was also seem less. I’m rating it 5 stars because it met all of the needs of a 5 star resort would lol but in a little corner of a small town in Texas town way.

The staff ( owners I think ) were so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was a bit more firm than I would prefer but it was overall comfortable. It was quiet at night. The pool was very refreshing. They offer a breakfast but we didn't get it.

Hotel is located in a very busy area of Magnolia. The train track runs within 100 yards of the property and is pretty frequent going through there. The breakfast is small and basic. I never saw anyone else in there. The room was clean and the facilities adequate. I did find some staining on two of the towels, but they were clean.

Our stay was very uncomfortable. The bathroom was dirty. On the walls behind the door in the bathroom had brown stuff smeared on the walls. Was really gross. My two teen girls walked outside and immediately there were men trying to talk to them. I went out directly and brought them in. It was just really uncomfortable. The beds are horrible and the pillows are pancakes.

The housekeeper was cleaning the top floor and threw water on the top of my truck that was parked under her. The management didn’t do anything about it, but that it was no big deal. The sheets in the rooms felt like they had not been changed up under the sheet between the top sheet and fitted felt crumbs. Look like the pillow covers had been slept on the sheets smelled sour. The room smelled like mildew, but the shower was the best thing of my whole day. The continental breakfast in the morning was less than horrible with limited selections and super small dining area. The Family lives at the hotel so that tells you what you’re dealing with I would not recommend this establishment

The only positive thing I can say about my stay here was that the toilet seat was new.....Seriously.....TV didn't work, wifi didn't work, bed was the worst imaginable, musty smell to the whole place. Do not....I repeat, Do not stay here.

The hotel and room were clean and well run. The staff was friendly and available. I had a bit of trouble sleeping due to noise from passing trains honking their horns several times per night, other guests talking at 3 am, snoring, etc, and the trash truck at 5 am.... But otherwise it's a good value for the price.

Not sure what to say… A 17” tv was hung 8’ in the air on the wall. AC worked, but not well. Check-in staff made it seem like you were inconveniencing them by being there. Towels had stains and were the same kind of towels I’d use to dry my car… kind of a hilarious experience I won’t forget

The staff ( owners I think ) were so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was a bit more firm than I would prefer but it was overall comfortable. It was quiet at night. The pool was very refreshing. They offer a breakfast but we didn't get it.

Hotel is located in a very busy area of Magnolia. The train track runs within 100 yards of the property and is pretty frequent going through there. The breakfast is small and basic. I never saw anyone else in there. The room was clean and the facilities adequate. I did find some staining on two of the towels, but they were clean.

Our stay was very uncomfortable. The bathroom was dirty. On the walls behind the door in the bathroom had brown stuff smeared on the walls. Was really gross. My two teen girls walked outside and immediately there were men trying to talk to them. I went out directly and brought them in. It was just really uncomfortable. The beds are horrible and the pillows are pancakes.

Obviously this is not a 5 star resort but for the money, it was fine. The staff was polite. The room was very clean, but outdated. Contrary to what the website says, the only hot tub is apparently in one of the private suites but all the ground floor units appear to be handicap accessible but I'm not sure about bathtubs and things like that. There is a small pool which was very nice. It was very clean and it apparently was brand new as far as resurfacing and tile will work. And although it's not technically a continental breakfast, they had the typical free breakfast. I think there was cereal orange juice, some fruit, some toast, a Waffle maker and coffee. As with any hotel, you can hear the people in the other room, if they're too loud, there is a train that goes by. I did not see any Golf course. Early Monday morning ,the garbage trucks come and they are very, very loud, but other than that, it was pleasant.

The management here was friendly though a bit difficult to understand. My only complaints were that there was no hot tub as advertised and the Continental Breakfast was only waffles and syrup. They had put out cereal but there was no milk. We had to ask them to turn the machine on as well. My travel partner was up at 6am when they were supposed to start breakfast and they didn't even start putting it out until 8am. So I would rate this place at 3.5 stars if there were half places.

For one, there is NOT a hot tub like advertised. This was one of the main reasons I chose this location. Secondly, the "breakfast" was nothing more than a waffle maker and a toaster. The bed was worse than sleeping on the floor. There were very unwelcoming guests hanging out in the parking lot deep into the night. Lastly, the walls are so thin that I couldn't go to sleep until the neighbor turned their tv off. I will never return, and i highly recommend anyone to sleep in theor car before booking a night here.

I was in town for a wedding, so not alot of choices on where to stay. Folks at the front desk are nice, room was clean. The trash truck banging dumpsters at 4 am wasn't so nice. Coffee packets very old, so much so, creamer was rock hard. Went to the front office for their "continental breakfast", old bananas, coffee, warm yogurt, cherios, toast was about it, in a tiny area, yeah, I passed......

The staff was friendly, and the room was nice and clean. The pillows were lumpy, but manageable. The breakfast area looked like more of an afterthought, and was barely large enough to seat a single family. Fine, we did not choose the place for their breakfast. We chose it for it's location and price. For that, it was great, and we would be happy to stay there again.

The Magnolia Inn was a clean and wonderful stay. It is a quaint place with tons of food options within walking distance! The location is just far enough outside the city but within an hour’s drive of most attractions in and around the Houston area. Would absolutely recommend!
