Best Western Geneseo Inn

The room was overall ok but if you went in the area of the pool there is a stink that wont leave your clothes or body. I have rewashed clothing 4 or 5 times and the smell is still in them. Check out that area as it needs work

The property was empty with 2 cars in the lot when we showed up. We had been traveling all and had driven in from Chicago. The guy at the desk, Dave immediately starts in on “why does everybody come early! Check in is 3:00! ( it was 1:30) I was inquiring about a larger room ( shows online) Dave refused and said I had to take it up with the 3rd party I had booked through. My 17 year old had to leave the lobby because he was so mad at how Dave was treating me. So we went to the room , small, went back wanting to add another room. Dave started in chastising me as he “already explained , you have to contact the 3rd party “ my son finally got it through his head we wanted a second room. Then when I made coffee in the room, it stuck to the side of the cup and had a film on it. We were her for an event that o my some of us were going to , so I went down to the desk the next morning inquiring on paying for a late check out. Dave was again at the desk. Refused to inquire of management, just stated that he could let me stay in the room til 12:30 SHARP. I wonder if his boss will be happy about turning away a 1/2 rack rate ($ 75) for an extra 3 hrs with a mostly empty hotel. So I asked if I could sit in the lobby or pool area until about 2-3. Nope, that’s loitering . Needed to be off the property within 15-20 minutes of checking out . I have traveled extensively and never met anyone working in the hospitality industry so rude. The pool was about 80 degrees and unusable.

No hot tub.

Ok hotel. Kind of dated and not the cleanest. Pool and pool area definitely was not clean. Would not swim there.

Long walk from front desk to elevator

The breakfast has variety but is minimal. There is no where to sit at a table in the lobby to work on or play games, socialize. The area does have a few dining establishments and downtown is only 6 minutes away for more options.

Everything was totally fine but none of the machines in the fitness center worked.

Clean and comfortable with a really nice pool. Lots of gas stations and food options close by. Super convenient to freeway.

Room 113, the sick never drained, the closet door was broken - off track and would not stay on. The swimming pool was closed several days. Room, sheets, and towels all neat and clean. Heater worked well. Room was quiet. Had to ask for new towels, no daily room service. Breakfast was weak: dry cereal, white bread, etc.

All of our belongings came back with this smell. Could not get the room cool enough to be comfortable. Bathroom had hair everywhere - floor, toilet, shower. Grime and gunk along floor and toilet - just not well cleaned. Could hear the pool area and people outside at the entrance from our room (we were on the 2nd floor). Yes, I could have complained to have it all fixed but it was late and we just needed a place to sleep. Will likely avoid staying here in the future.

My room was spotless and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. I only stayed for one night, but I could see myself staying there for much longer. I never used the gym or pool, and breakfast was surprisingly very good.

Rooms need to be better cleaned. Lots of cobwebs that have been there for awhile.

The main hallway smelled like mildew and the room smelled like cigarette smoke. The linens were very worn and dingy. There was dried blood on a light switch and on the floor. The breakfast was minimal and not very good. Overall ok in a pinch but I dont recommend that anyone stay here.

Staff at the registration was nice and quick. However, there was a strong air refresher smell in the hallway and in the room. Room size is good. Found 3 dead potato bugs behind the bathroom door and the closet was dusty inside. Breakfast was simple. Bread smells sour, not very fresh.

It is always clean and an exceptional place to stay

Check in staff was nice and knowledgeable about local places to eat. After 4 hours and almost asleep found bed bugs. Hotel looked nice but smelled moldy in public areas.

This was the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in, and the “breakfast” was also disgusting. I do not recommend this place at all. I killed at least 3 insects in the room, and found so much dust and filth behind the nightstands.

Clean facility and comfortable bed. Property is in need of some small repairs (leaky faucet, stained drapes, bad control on heater).

Room was perfect with 3 queen beds! Check in person at front desk was not hospitable.

Our stay was good the only thing I can say that could use some attention was the beds they were a little hard not much cushion on mattresses. If that got up graded I’m sure this would very well be a really good stay rating for someone else!

Cable did not work well Couldn’t watch tv without it skipping Weird oder in the room Room was small compared to price barely fit my family of 4 in a double queen Coffe machine was dirty And waffle batter I think was soured

A little dated, tv kept freezing, was fine for a night stay, but there are more comfortable beds not that much further.

Pretty run down. A lot of noise from the surrounding rooms.

The property was convenient for my purpose. The carpet was dirty and the television was not at a easy to operate and it had streaming problems. It also could connect to Netflix.

This Property is slowly going downhill in the last 3 yrs of staying here. The room #130 smelled old and worn out and a cigarette cover up smell. The matress is broken not lumpy but broken.

Worked fine for our family of 8. Three queen beds was a great feature of our room. Very spacious. Staff had a hard time communicating due to language barriers. Pool was chilly but everything was clean.

John at the desk was kind & helpful. So was the Breakfast Staff person. Yummy Scrambled eggs & Sausage. I enjoyed fresh fruit and yogurt! Suggestion:, Hard boiled eggs

Checking in was a nightmare. Was to “pay at site”. The guy at the counter refused to use the card we gave him, And took the card that was to just hold the room. He did not speak very good English, and refused to correct the mistake he made. The next morning, a gentleman understood our situation and said he would try to take care of it. We are still waiting on the correction.

Hotel was ok. We paid through expedia and yet the guy behind the desk went ahead and charged our card a second time after we specifically told him not to. Him not speaking english well was a huge obstacle. Still waiting to see if they refunded out money. Breakfast was very lackluster and basic. Will not stay there again.

Not pet friendly! We were forced to leave the property with no compromise with our service dog. All because our dog barked, well, family reuniting in the lobby.

A BIG mix up on the third day. Tito scam us out of the last day by charging us again for the third night. Tried to charge us for pet fee after at check in said fee was waved. Got kicked out, called customer service. Had to move to Best Western in Annawan Il. Will never recommend Geneseo BW Ever

Safe, clean, and quiet. Easy check in and check out as well.

Strong natural gas smell by laundry room. Staff was unconcerned. Door lock had problems. Didn’t always open. Manager arrived at 10,:was informed of the problem, said the door was fine without checking and departed. After I raised enough hell, they gave me another room. Whole ordeal took 2+ hours

I was double charged for the room, yet to be resolved and the room I was given had no water in the shower. The hotel staff was decidedly unhelpful.

Location to highway is good

It was right off I-80, place was nice as checked above with a great restaurant literally next door. A minor problem, not to detract from all the good features, but bathroom sink was slow to drain and there was no bathroom counter at all.

Just a very pleasant overnight. Comfortable bed, quiet. Good location.

We actually missed our turn and pulled ioff the exit, booked on the spot. Pleasantly surprised with the hotel, solid rating all.around.

Great location and friendly staff

There are few choices in the town but the room was clean and better than expected. Breakfast was sparse but the price was fair. There's a Subway and Culvers walking distance and a Walmart across the street.

The breakfast was pretty limited, and not great quality. But, there's a good coffee shop a couple of doors down.

This was supposed to be my daughter's birthday road trip away from home. a nonrefundable which is okay. We got there late and went to bed. Came down and hoped for a hot full breakfast but there was almost nothing there. Staff weren't nowhere to be found. Sketchy. Kids really looked forward to a nice breakfast. Of course, we ended up eating out. Expensive stay but next time we will stick to the Holiday Inn. This was disappointing and how they are priced and rated as VERY GOOD. The beds were queen beds and good. The night was quiet but saw a couple of pine beetles on our way in that night inside our room. Overall, our rate for this hotel stay out of ten would be 4. I know they can do better than what they have been rated.

Breakfast was very minimal

Out dated...... cracks in the tub for the shower... Breakfast was not stocked... Trash cans needed to be dumped, inside and outside.
