We like this place but it just seems like It has a lot of maintenance issues. BOTH ice machines were out of order on our floor. Something busted in the ice machine room and flooded the hallway so the carpet was mushy and musty all week. The big problem was the hot tub was not working because of the heating element not functioning. The pool was heated the first night but the rest of the week it was warm at best and just cold the last night of our stay. The pool/ hot tub issues were a real bumer because we were really looking foward to enjoying them. The thing you use to assist handicap people in the pool wasn't working. The pavilion at the pool has literally wasp nest under the railings and needs a good cleaning. The walkway to the beach has a sitting area that is falling apart ....literally has rotten wood barely hanging on. Just little cosmetic things also like the carpet is fraying and coming apart at the seams. Also...they have a really nice seating area with a fire pit that would be perfect for a cool fall evening....but its not functioning. The room was fine and breakfast was very good. The staff was excellent also. We will be staying somewhere else next year.

I understand the hotel is undergoing renovations, but a big reason we booked this hotel was the option to have a hot tub, which was no in service. It would have been helpful to know this when the room was booked. Other than that issue, the hotel was nice, clean and staff was friendly.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were surprised that they had a live music band in the lobby one evening! They have a complimentary shuttle service that will take you wherever you want to go on the island and pick you up. For EV owners, they have multiple destination chargers for both Tesla and non-Tesla.

Check in was quick and easy. Got a great room facing the dunes (and not the parking lot or pool) so was super quiet. It's a family hotel so be prepared to be around a lot of kids. Staff was helpful. Good at the bar was a bit of a miss, couldn't order most of the items due to lack of supplies to make them. Would stay again. There are stairs to get to the beach.

We’ve been staying at this hotel for several years now. We always go to Jekyll around this time for the globe hunt and we have always loved this hotel. Unfortunately it has really gone down hill in the past year. There were ceiling tiles missing with a bucket in the hallway that sat there for all 3 days we were there. The shower in our bathroom was dirty with lime and build up on the drain. The beds were so awful I ended up having to sleep on the couch which isn’t very comfortable to sleep on but I was desperate at that point. We even tried taking all the bedding for the other bed and putting it on ours to provide some type of cushion on the rock hard mattress but it wasn’t enough. The breakfast is normally great but the sausage had a funny taste to it and the potatoes were hard. Everything we normally love about this hotel just isn’t holding up anymore.

Terrible overall! The room was filthy. The carpet was almost black the front door! The bathroom had mold all around the shower on the outside, and the inside of the shower floor was very stained! There was an used bar of soap, placed back in a new container, and put out for us to use! The so-called free breakfast looked so horrible we would not eat it! On our check out morning the elevator was broken, and we had to lug down all of our luggage for flights of stairs with nothing with no help from any employees of the hotel! Overall the worst trip I have ever had anywhere! I will never stay in another Hampton Inn!

It was nice being so close to the beach. Pool area was nice and clean. Loved having a balcony on the 3rd floor, poolside. The room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfy. I loved the big shower too. And loved having a nightlight in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Friendly staff. Very attentive. Check in / check out was easy. Will stay here again. We love staying at a Hampton Inn.

The hotel itself is lovely and the location is great. Right on the beach and surrounded by nature. The free breakfast was yummy with a good selection of fresh food. Hotel employees were lovely. However, the noise was awful and therefore we won't be back. Guests were screaming, yelling and carrying on downstairs, outside. One of the rooms next to us blasted the tv and music late into the night and starting 6am again the next day. The room on the other side hosted a family reunion with people yelling, children screamingand throwing things against the wall, adults drunk, etc. Earplugs didn't help and my husband, son and I all slept horribley for multiple nights.

Staff confirmed to me that the 4th floor has problem with Wi-Fi. Had to go to lobby to get Wi-Fi. Got back upstairs 4th floor little then no Wi-Fi on my apple phone nor my wife’s phone. Was promised free Wi-Fi. We also didn’t like the comfort of the beds. We always stay Hampton Inn. This was our least favorite of many Hampton Inns we’ve stayed in

Great location!! Alexis at the front desk was exceptional and made our check in process easy. The room and common areas were modern and clean. It was a windy and rainy weekend, but we still enjoyed riding our bikes on the trail that completely circles the island. We appreciated how pet friendly they were and there were great places to take him for a walk…especially in the wooded park right next door. My only complaint was the rowdy kids that were there for a soccer tournament. There were a lot of them and they ran the halls making a lot of noise late in to the evening. Lastly…breakfast was great all three mornings we were there.

There should be more lighting in the parking lot. Also, we were late arrivals (which was relayed to reservations) and ended up in a room that was not like what I paid for. They decided to change our room the following day and give us the room I had paid for. That evening around 11:30 we were coming back from being out, our room was given to someone else. They went into our room but didn't stay because they saw our stuff. We went back to front desk again because our key didn't work.

Jan who worked at Hampton is was so accommodating. Expedia had our room wrong and if it wasn't for Jan the trip would have been ruined. She corrected the problem and got us into the proper room. Jan was the absolute best!

We had a wonderful stay. I am glad that this is the hotel we ended up booking among the list I was considering. I loved the oak hammock type vibe around the pool area and also having private beach access. The room was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed having the balcony. The staff was friendly and hospitable. One staff member in particular, Jason, went above and beyond when he helped my husband when we were locked out of our truck. We can’t wait to return to Jekyll Island and this Hampton Inn.

The property was under renovation, so it was a mess but first thing they did not have free Wi-Fi. Strangely every ice machine in the Hotel was broken or not working. Tried to call the front desk repeatedly but they never answer the phone. The Hotel bar was always closed. The Hotel staff was almost nonexistent, but they do allow dogs.

STAFF: FD staff upon arrival: sarcastically complaining to one another about her job (Laura?) Employee about to come on duty (already on?) comes behind counter with huge plate of food, talking with her mouth full. First employee did not say hi to me, upon arrival, did not welcome me, barely looked up at me, just growled “she will be with you in a minute” while 2nd employee paraded by and to the back with her huge plate of food. When I heard a dog bark (turned out to be behind me on lobby tv) I asked if this was a dog hotel, which I avoid. She said yes. I said if a dog barks, you address that, correct? She shrugged, so I attempted to clatify and employee (#2) said she would do NOTHING about a barking dog, but pointed to employee #1, who was LEAVING FOR THE DAY, and said “she might” and shrugged again. Not typical of Hilton, whose tarnished brand has gone downhill in the past 4 years. I stayed at 3 Hilton’s this trip and 2 of 3 have SERIOUS issues with umprofessional, rude, without knowledge, not helpful, uncaring, staff, this Jekyll Island location being one of 2 rating poor to unacceptable bad attitudes of staff. ROOM: large handicap room, clean, very basic, bed was comfortable. Blackout drapes, fridge, cooling/heating with constant fan was acceptable noise rang BREAKFAST: basic, various choices. acceptable POOL AREA: did not use, looked nice from afar WALKOVER TO BEACH: in good condition, extremely narrow beach, not accessible at high T Due to Staff- would NOT stay again

Good stay. lower channels of TV did not work and staff was unable to remedy even after two attempts. Claim they wikk be changing service soon. Very clean. Breakfast not bad for this class hotel. Nice pool and easy beach access. Restaurants in the area were average in quality but not in price. Stayed on 4th floor which has limited pets since my wife has pet alergies. No issues.

The property is getting ready to remodel starting in Sept 2024. A handicap person cannot get to the beach. They need to be more ADA qualified. Too many stairs and no ramp to get to the beach. Hotel said they would take you to another part of the island. I could have stayed in the at another hotel with beach access. The hotel needs to check for an ADA grant to install a ramp at each end. My family got to see the beach and go on it I did not, that's why we went. That was very disappointing for me.

This was a last minute overnight trip to Jekyll Island to take family photos, and after reading the other reviews, I picked the Hampton Inn and Suites. Check in went smoothly and the staff was courteous and friendly. The hotel is beachfront, and has a beautiful boardwalk leading to the ocean, but be prepared for the two sets of stairs. Our room was spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was provided, as well, and was very tasty! I would definitely stay here again!

This is our third stay at The Hampton and it is always consistently a great experience. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. It’s a short walk to the beach after which you can enjoy the pool. The food at the bar was just right and saved a trip out. Highly recommend!

As someone who has visited Jekyll every year during memorial weekend, this was the first time staying here and We were disappointed to say the least. Breakfast was a nightmare with the smallest stations set up with so many people trying to eat no matter what time we went. Staff couldn’t keep up with things constantly running out. The last morning of our stay we didn’t even bother trying to get breakfast. The pool was foggy and full of sand, which is typical with it being next to a beach but the showers leading from the boardwalk to the hotel barely worked. A large wedding party was there the same days as us and they trashed the pool area. A manager walked through and saw trash in the pool and overflowing garbages and no one ever came out to clean it up. There were also tons of beer cans left by the boardwalk. Definitely won’t be staying here again. Staff was nice and did their best but being understaffed on such a busy weekend really set them up for frustrated guests.

Our stay was very good. It was the smoothest regarding coming in and simply getting our room key without any hiccups. The customer service was always on point. And the breakfast was more than you could ask for, and the staff was very friendly. One suggestion, could we have some bacon on the menu? :-)
