Casa Kuaa

Were to begin...Our stay at Casa Kuaa was not what any vacationer would expect. The service at check in was rushed and not friendly. Although we were helped to our room with a gorgeous view, welcome staff did not give us our welcome bracelets, or tell us about the bar/ cafe or how to use the remotes for the AC. The first night the electricity and plumbing went out from about 2:20am to 2:20pm, a total of 12 hours in extreme humidity and heat. Staff did not ask anyone how they were doing, or offer water or ice or even tell guests about what was going on or what was being worked on. I was so thankful to have access to two pools and of course the beach and a friendly staff at the cafe/bar. On our last night there, the electricity and plumbing did go out again, but for only 30 minutes. Again, no communication from hotel staff. On both occasions, I did notice that the surrounding hotels DID have power. The day before we left we did make a request to reserve a taxi back to Oaxaca City and staff failed to reserve the taxi for us. Overall, Casa Kuaa has terrible service, terrible communication, fantastic views and beaches and a very friendly cafe/ bar staff. Think twice before you make your reservation.

Bonito lugar, es pequeño por lo que te hace sentir mas esclusivo, Las instalaciones son bonitas. El problema es que no tiene donde estacionarse

The property, location and staff were all wonderful! Right on the beach, so few rooms with 2 pools and never more than 2 people in the pool. The little bar and restaurant were always delivering quality drinks and food. Lots of cafes and restaurants within a block. The beach is beautiful and the water reminds you that Mother Nature is in charge! Stay here.

The property is in a great location. Walkable to many restaurants. The staff is great. The hotel is very pretty. The restaurant has great breakfast. My recommendations would be to keep the pool clean. The water was murky so we didn’t get in . Also the bedroom we stayed need better lighting in the bathroom over the sink. The towels could use updating. The room was very clean. We would stay here again .

El único detalle es el estacionamiento, de ahí en fuera todo está muy bien

This location was the only hotel to not have a generator to back up the power outage! No running water and no power for 2 days. Terrible communication with the guests and didn’t seem to care about it.

The hotel was beautiful and beach front. They also had fabulous amenities included for no extra cost like lounge chairs, umbrellas, tanning beds, and dining tables right on the beach. The employees were kind and helpful. You are also welcomed with a beer or nonalcoholic drink.

Totalmente recomendado. Regresaría sin pensarlo. Acceso a la playa directo con sillas siempre disponibles. Dos albercas que nunca están llenas. Buena coctelería. Amabilidad del personal.

Bonita y con buena ubicación. Todos muy amables, la segunda alberca a mi parecer un poco sucia pero definitivamente regresaría.

Es una estancia tranquila y un lugar bonito para descansar, el personal en general es amable. La playa en esta zona no es para entrar a nadar. El acceso a la propiedad es un camino de tierra y si llueve se vuelve inaccesible a pie, para salir ellos ofrecen llevarte en un mototaxi pero al volver tendrás que caminar entre los charcos. En la habitación habia muchas hormigas.

Magnífica estancia en Casa kuaa, la habitación familiar amplía y muy limpia, tiene un balcón fenomenal con vista al mar y desde donde te puedes pasar una tarde hermosa relajándote y viendo el atardecer. El personal muy servicial. El restaurante es muy rico para desayunar y comer algunos snacks en la piscina o en la playa. Piscina y áreas comunes muy hermosas. Su ubicación es perfecta, ya que está a pie de playa y a una calle de restaurantes, tiendas, bares, encontrarás un fantástico ambiente para salir por la noche a cenar, bailar o tomarse unas copas con los amigos.

Son muy relajados con la limpieza y las albercas estaban muy sucias y nunca las asearon

Hormigas por todos lados, asta en las Camas, me pico una grande mientras dormía, recamara muy reducidas para una familia de 4. Servicio de lavanderia pésimo, caro y mal echo, me mancharon toda la ropa de cloro

We loved our stay at Casa Kuaa! After a long trip through Mexico this was the perfect little oasis for relaxing at the beach but also close to the busy main road with bars, restaurants and cafes. The room was big and clean, It also featured a nice balcony to listen to the sound of the waves. The staff was super friendly and helpful and had a lot of great recommendations for restaurants, bars and cafes in town. We definitely recommend and would come back!

Bonita y con buena ubicación. Todos muy amables, la segunda alberca a mi parecer un poco sucia pero definitivamente regresaría.

We had a great time at Casa Kuaa, it is perfectly located, right on the beach and a 2 min walk to any food and nightlife. The room was a little small, but other than that, it was perfect! I would highly recommend!

Rude lady at the bar/kitchen area. Any time I would ask for something she would roll her eyes. It made me feel uncomfortable and not want to ask her for anything. Although the male bartender was amazing, friendly and super attentive. Also WiFi doesn’t work well, unless I went up front but it was inconvenient.

Hotel está bien, con una excelente ubicación en Punta Zicatela; Las habitaciones pueden mejorar considerablemente, sobre todo mejorar almohadas, espacios de almacenamiento, cortinas "black out" y lugar para colgar la ropa mojada.

We LOVED this hotel! 10/10 recommend. The staff is so friendly, we met people from all over the world, and the room was very comfortable. Great AC, great water pressure, very clean. We walked less than 50 yds and we were on the beach.

Beautiful hotel, right on the water. Staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Amazing area to be in, the food and drinks. The beach is amazing, direct view of the ocean. Only minor draw back was the shower water pressure was very poor. Otherwise, the room and the property were top tier! Would definitely stay there again.

Construction noise was so noisy in the mornings. They said it wouldn’t be a huge issue but it was definitely noisy

We loved this hotel, we had a view of the beach and could hear the waves from our balcony. The pool area was quiet with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The hammocks were a favourite spot to read and have a snooze. Restaurants and bars just behind our hotel were great. Sunsets over the beach were amazing.

Casa Qua KUAA is undeniably beautiful and has a calm, stylish vibe. When we first arrived, we were given a very small room — more like a box — but thankfully we were able to upgrade to a more spacious option. The upgraded room was much better, with a large, modern bathroom, and we appreciated how soundproof everything felt. It’s oceanfront, though there’s a wide sandy patch you have to cross to get to the water. One thing to note: they don’t offer beach towels, so make sure to bring your own or be ready to buy some locally. There’s no TV, which may be a plus if you’re looking to fully unplug. One of our favorite parts was the presence of adorable cats on site — they were sweet and made the stay even more charming. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but we likely wouldn’t return. After our stay, we found other nearby options that offered more amenities and luxury for either the same price or just a little more, making them a better value. Still, Casa Qua KUAA is a solid choice for a one-time getaway of a couple days — especially if you appreciate a peaceful atmosphere and a cute, low-key environment.

Nos animamos a reservar en el hotel por los comentarios y calificaciones. Sin embargo, la persona de recepción no fue nada amable, el servicio de estacionamiento es únicamente de 8pm a 8am, así que si llegas después tienes que conseguir estacionamiento aparte o pagar las horas extras en la casa que les presta el lugar de estacionamiento. No hicieron la limpieza en la habitación. En general les pongo un 7-8 de calificación porque la ubicación es buena y en general cumple con el standar básico, pero su servicio puede mejorar mucho todavía.

So glad we chose Casa Kuaa for our 3 week vacation I did have an opportunity to meet the owner. She is kind, inviting, and engaging. This attitude is reflected in all of the staff, especially at the beach bar/restaurant, Yamil, Lulu, and Naomi. Genuine Mexican hospitality! This hotel is right in the heart of La Punta Zicatela. Great location to restaurants, amenities, and entertainment.  Though the main street is busy and loud, the location of the hotel is extremely quiet and all you can hear at night is the sound of the waves. The beach is pristine and goes for miles. The hotel offers the absolute best loungers with umbrellas on the beach and by the pools. The most amazing sunsets each night right from the property. Beach Restaurant/Bar Offers an array of breakfast and lunch items. Excellent food and drink options. Very good wifi, we were able to stream sports games, do some work from the property or our rooms all day and night. We had a main floor room, plenty of fans and ventilation. Two air conditioners were provided for additional comfort. Rooms had a minimalist boho vibe. There were 3 cats on property that were very well taken care of and brought joy to us each day.

There was so much construction around it was hard to get around. Very noisy. Rude staff

This was the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at when it comes to service and food and cleanliness and just beautiful architecture and design of the hotel itself sold us. We arrived the first day and were greeted by smiling staff to take care of our every need. And when I said every need I mean EVERY need. We were visiting from Texas so we didn’t know the language but some of them did and that really helped us when trying to find things to do around there(which wasn’t very hard as we were right behind the main strip in la punta). I booked this hotel because of the access to the beach which didn’t disappoint it was a very lovely sight and view and the water was nice but it was a surfers beach and the waves were too strong to get although still really nice to just stare at for a couple hours. The bar had amazing food we could’ve eaten there all 4 days but I forced us to get outside of the hotel, the staff gave amazing recommendations that did not disappoint. At the hotel no matter where you were if you ordered anything they’d bring it to you. I’m talking poolside service and if you’re watching the waves on their beach chairs they’ll walk it out to you. Every time you see a staff they greet you with a beautiful smiling which made us feel really safe and welcomed, the owner has lovely cats that are really sweet that roam the property which i loved. The staff, they made our experience the best going above and beyond for us and were really grateful for this stay and will be back soon:)

My family and I stayed here March 22-27 and absolutely loved it. The hotel is beautiful - our room was right beside one of the pools and the beach bar. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and we felt very safe. Walking distance to lots of great restaurants and shops, but off the main street so was quiet. Would definitely come back again!

The property was right on the beach and a few steps away from the main shopping street. The hotel grounds were well maintained and designed.

First time in Puerto Escondido. The hotel was prime location on the beach and close to town.

Casa Kuaa was great, but to get to it omg, the street is a dead-end and it Floods, there’s no other way to get to it other than taking your shoes off and walking thru the dirty water! Rooms are small

This is a very small hotel situated right on the beach. Although the street where it’s situated is not paved, it’s a minor inconvenience compared to the services and the views.

Excellent place located near of many food options.

El hotel está muy bonito, muy buena ubicación a pie de playa y a dos cuadras de la calle principal, donde están los restaurantes y bares. El staff es súper amable, muy buenas instalaciones, el restaurante del hotel sirve desayunos y snacks, todo muy rico. El único inconveniente fue que por las lluvias la entrada principal estaba encharcada y era imposible entrar. Tenías que rodear y cruzar por la playa, atravesando lodazales en la oscuridad.

Me encantó el lugar, muy limpio, muy amables en el servicio y la comida deliciosa

Excelente hotel, todo súper bien cuidado, muy buen servicio, las habitaciones cómodas, el bar de la playa tiene lo necesario para pasarlo excelente, comida buena aunque el menú no tiene muchas opciones pero no necesitas más.

Les falta mejorar su cocina, es muy básica. Las habitaciones e instalaciones bien, servicio del personal excelente. Está sobre la playa y el área sobre la playa es grande y la pasamos muy bien.

La comida es cara y muy poca, nos prometieron una bebida de cortesía que jamás nos dieron, al pagar la cuenta le subieron 100 pesos a un platillo y no hay estacionamiento en el lugar se queda en la calle frente a la casa, la cama es horrible

Fue una muy buena estancia. Su barra / restaurante puede mejorar mucho en su servicio.

No tienen comidas. Ni cenas eso si está súper mal
