This hotel was clean and well maintained. I will definately stay here in the future. There is a large yard area. The location is conveniently off Hwy 2 and close to everything in the area. Nice owners and staff.

Check-in person was very friendly! Quick check-in process. Parking is convenient- all parking is close to the rooms. Room was super clean- I always scope out a room and find something, but this room was clean from top to bottom... bedding, fridge, bathroom, every corner. Comfortable bed. Loved that there was a quilt vs comforter. Pillows were comfortable as well. AC and heat worked great, including a fan option. Windows are "frosted" which I really liked - more privacy that way, as you don't need to worry about any gaps when closing the curtains. Old school vibe, but they sure take care of and maintain everything! Room was quiet. We didn't hear our neighbors or anyone above us. Most importantly, we felt safe. I've already, with zero hesitation, recommended this property to friends. I would most definitely stay here again when in the area!

Great budget friendly motel. As a lifetime Marriott Titanium member, I have no issues staying here. Is it old, yes. Is it extremely clean, absolutely. We use it for snowmobiling, and it is perfect. 4 key summary points: clean, plenty of room for trailer parking, good shower/water flow and price/value.

This place was GREAT! We loved the retro upgrades. The room was spacious and the carpet was clean. The bedding was comfy. Incl a Fridge and microwave. Little coffee maker. We parked our bikes right outside our room. They have nice table and chairs outside to relax to eat or read. The staff was very friendly when we arrived. We would certainly recommend this one!

This was a great drive up motel to stay in! Everyone we encountered at the front desk was so friendly. We had a king suite room. It was very spacious. The room was very clean. The bathroom did not provide a hair dryer. No biggie! The room had a microwave and frig. There was a seating area outside right off the parking lot to sit and relax. I definitely recommend staying here!

My husband and I really enjoyed our one night stay! As all the reviews I read promised, this place was an exceptional "retro" decorated space. Most importantly it was very clean.We picked up dinner and ate in the room as there was a table for two. My husband lit the propane fire pit and we sat out on the comfie outdoor furniture and talked, relaxed and laughed! Five stars for our stay! We highly recommend it.

This motel sets the bar for cleanliness. The decor may be a little dated, but it is amazingly clean -- not a spec of dust or dirt anywhere to be seen -- it is spotless. After a couple of nights in other national chain hotels where we were wearing our shoes around the rooms because they felt dirty, the Cedars Inn was a welcome respite. 100% recommend and we will absolutely stay again when we are in the area.

This is the cleanest hotel I have ever been in. The furnishings were dated, but in amazingly perfect condition. Room was large, beds very comfortable, large bathroom. Sink in the bathroom and in the main room. Parked directly in from of the first floor room. We were extremely happy with this motel and would highly recommend.

Room was immaculate and king bed was super comfy. Also the small coffee maker actually worked! There was a microwave and refrigerator for our traveling food and leftover pizza. Thanks for a nice place to stop on our journey.

I loved the restoration with 60/70s themed fixtures and decor -- but all in perfect, like-new condition. Everything was great, unit was very clean and in excellent repair, it was quiet, and plenty of amenities are in the town nearby. The mattress was NOT 70s era -- it was very comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

Will definitely stay here again. The beds were comfortable. No musty, funky smells. It's a huge room for all your things, with an extra sink so 2 people can get ready at the same time. Great price compared to other motels/hotels in the area. Love the retro bathroom colors. Plenty of coffee/breakfast options in town so free breakfast is not needed. Just adds expense to your stay. And not all free breakfasts are that great anyway. Clean, and comfy. I did notice there wasn't a hair dryer. I brought my own so it wasn't an issue. Forgot to mention that at checkout.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. On request, they suggested Don & GG's for supper, which was great! The room was spacious and everything was very clean. We enjoyed the retro decor, and especially got a kick out of the bright blue bathroom fixtures with white accents! We'd be very happy to stay here again.

I had a great second stay at the Cedars Motel. The room and bedding was clean and simple enough for a two night stay. The only drawback was that the office staff was only open between 3pm and 7pm - the office staff was accommodating and cheerful but it was challenging to reach the office staff after 7pm. I would recommend the Cedars, however and will return again.

So normally, I'd never stay at a motel. Cleanliness followed by comfort are my number one and two reasons. After reading the extremely positive reviews, I figured I'd give it a shot since I was just passing thru on my way to Copper Harbor and needed a place to lay my head. The reviews were accurate and did not disappoint. Very clean room. Comfy beds. It is like stepping back in time, but somehow in a great way. Met the owner in the morning in the office. Gracious lady that works very hard to make the place what is. Do not hesitate to give her your business! Next time I pass thru Ironwood Michigan, I won't even look at other places to stay. Cedars will be my go to! Thank you!

Upon first glance I dismissed this property, but was swayed back by the low cost & high reviews. So glad we gave it a chance - this was a great property that is meticulously maintained. At checkout we had the pleasure of meeting the owner and hearing the story of the motel and its history. Definitely a great place for a stay on our trip through the state.

This is a lovely little motel. A diamond in the rough with a quaint retro vibe. Loved it! Spotless clean and the staff very friendly and courteous. Grounds were impeccable. Would certainly recommend and if ever this way again would definitely book again.

This was a nice motel. The staff at the check in was very nice, and helpful and it was a convenient location to everything we wanted to go see in the area. The room was clean and very spacious. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet and had easy access to our room. We would stay again if in the area.

Very very clean , spacious room and well kept, everything looked fairly new or newly refreshed, painted etc. Plenty of parking. Pleasant staff. Ate at Sharon’s in Hurley, just 1.6 miles (lovely spacious coffee shop with breakfasts. Also visited the Stormy Kroger factory store.

What a pleasant surprise! Very clean and spacious. This hotel has been in the same family for 50 years and they obviously take pride in it. This isn’t the Four Seasons, but it is by far the best roadside motel I’ve ever stayed at.

Will definitely stay here again. The beds were comfortable. No musty, funky smells. It's a huge room for all your things, with an extra sink so 2 people can get ready at the same time. Great price compared to other motels/hotels in the area. Love the retro bathroom colors. Plenty of coffee/breakfast options in town so free breakfast is not needed. Just adds expense to your stay. And not all free breakfasts are that great anyway. Clean, and comfy. I did notice there wasn't a hair dryer. I brought my own so it wasn't an issue. Forgot to mention that at checkout.

We had a 10 hour drive with 5 young children. We were arriving way past the check in time. The staff was very helpful with accommodating us. We arrived to a very clean room. We had to add another night on our stay. Very simple process and lovely people. Highly recommend!
