Property, gardens, fountains were beautiful. Quiet room. I loved that there was tea and coffee available for breakfast since there was no restaurant on the property. Shopping nearby was great. Good location for walking around the city. Close to the Plaza. Area felt very safe.

The property advertises parking offsite, but we got there was no parking anywhere around it. We went to 4 different places and were not successful in finding any parking. This facility falses advertises parking. Shuttle was not working nor available that day either. Terrible experience!

the front desk folks rarely ever acknowledged our coming in or going out. I do not expect a hello or good bye every time, but at least occasionally would be nice. Also you advertise breakfast and yet nothing is there, no muffins, no cakes nothing. You would think for the price at least have something for your guests. The beds were lumpy and hard, and the pillows had an odor. the shower ran super-hot or super cold and the light near my bed burnt out. I am sorry to complain like this, but I brought friends down for the first time to see the beautiful Antigua that I love and I know that you all could have done better.

The place is beautiful, with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. However, we experienced several issues upon arrival. When we took a shower, the water varied from extremely hot (to the point of scalding) to very cold, making it almost impossible to bathe. When we contacted the staff, they explained it was a water pressure issue, but offered no immediate solution. Additionally, around 7:00 a.m., loud chisel and hammer sounds, accompanied by talking and laughter, began right outside our room, which interrupted our rest. This work could have been done at a more reasonable time. To top it all off, when we woke up, there was no water available in the room. We understand that inconveniences can happen, but the way they were handled significantly affected our stay.

The location is the best you can get. Very easy to walk to everywhere in Antigua. However we were dissapointed to the fact that they show a swiming pool in the pictures, and when we arrived they said it is NOT in the hotel area, is two blocks away, and you have to pay $5 additional per person to use it. They say this is explained in the image, but the image doesn't have any coment like this.

This room was smaller than I expected and bed was quite thin and springy but as you’ll see in Guatemala. Still slept well. For such a central location it is surprisingly quiet. The staff are incredible. The garden is gorgeous. Be sure to take advantage of a pool day at their neighbor hotel Casa del Parque for only $5- it’s gorgeous and right around the corner.

Las instalaciones necesitan mucho mantenimiento, las paredes están sucias, hay telas de araña e insectos muertos. Las duchas están manchadas y deterioradas, los dispensadores de papel muy incómodos, los grifos sucios y deteriorados. El techo está podrido y tienen plantas entrando en la habitación, no hay ventanas por lo que lo hace muy caliente y con mal olor. Las camas son incómodas, la ropa de cama estaba manchada y la televisión no sirve.

The hotel room was fine. Not at all like was shown in the pictures. Mold in the corners of the room. The bathroom window, which opened out on to a corridor wouldn't lock either. The shower was hot or cold and the room lacked basics like a full length mirror or anywhere to hang clothes. The room had a small private terrace (which was overlooked by someone's bathroom). On the final night, loud music was being played from 2am until 3am. The rooms were very clean. Staff were reasonably friendly and service were available like laundry. The courtyards were pretty and well maintained. The hotel is also located very close to the center, which was nice.

Our first impression of the hotel was fine. The front desk attendant was neutral, the layout and gardens are stunning, and our hotel room was super cute. We brought two older kids with us (14,16) and so we appreciated the loft area with 2 beds, but it was high, narrow, and the ladder was slippery, so I hesitate to recommend it to families with younger kids (our older kids chose to sleep below since it was a nuisance to climb when the lights were on, let alone when pitch black at night). We asked about breakfast in the morning and the attendant said they don't offer it and let us know which restaurants do, but in the morning we discovered many were eating breakfast on the terrace. No one came to us to offer breakfast while we sat, and we also didn't ask, so we are neutral on that point. Our disappointment was noise. There is a great brewery across the street but the music from the brewery reverberated through the walls and into our heads until at least midnight. We were overtired from our 6 hour drive and from walking all day, and of course it was Friday/Saturday night, but we were surprised and disappointed. The music turned down a tad at 9pm, but it still echoed through the courtyard and into the room (perhaps it was just our room). Pretty place, decent price, but we came to relax and decompress and wish we knew more about the noise.

I really liked this hotel. It has beautiful gardens in the courtyard. Our room was nice. Great location, very friendly staff and I felt safe. The weekend can get a little noisy with bar music down the street but other than that, it was great!

Le point fort de cet hôtel est son emplacement, vraiment central dans le secteur touristique et à proximité de plusieurs restaurants et attraits touristiques. Il s'agit d'un vieil hôtel avec beaucoup de cachet, avec une jolie cour intérieure. Toutefois ma chambre était très basique en terme de décoration et de confort. C'était correct, mais sans plus. Il n'y avait pas de fenêtre (sauf une très petite dans la douche), ce qui m'a insécurisée en cas de feu. Cet hôtel "fait la job" mais ne serait pas un premier choix selon moi.

The Good: The location of the property is good. There was also plenty of hot water for the shower which is a challenge for many Guatemalan hotels. It is just a block away from Parque Central. The Bad: The room was very small and just big enough for the bed. The hotel did offer to let me see another room. When it comes to the bed, you can touch the mattress through the fitted sheet and feel the metal springs in the bed. This is what I was sleeping on for four nights. The mattress should have been replaced several years ago. Three of the four nights I was there, people were making noise in the courtyard after 11 pm that was echoing into all the rooms. The night staff did nothing to stop the noise.

I’d give it a 5 star but you can feel the springs in the mattress. Made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. Everything else was top notch. Good service Super clean And beautiful

This was a dirty, uncomfortable hotel. I tried to work with the hotel staff after reporting both cockroaches and the hotel cat that kept coming into the room. We have stayed in many hotels in Antigua, and we have never had an experience like this. The day staff were on their phones, lounging in the courtyard, and only attended to our needs if we went and sought them out. The only positives were the location and the end of the stay. The beds were HORRIBLE, we had 3 beds in our room. I tried all 3, and all three had springs hitting our bones. I imagine they are so old that the springs are no longer functioning. The customer service was also terrible. In addition to being unattentive, the staff told us that they would charge us if our guests did not leave in 15 min. We were in an outside common area, visiting with 2 friends who are locals. We have done this many times in many hotels in Antigua, and often share a meal on site with our friends before they leave, and have never had any problem until this hotel. The real reason was likely that our friends dress in typical indigenous clothing that identifies them as indigenous. Nothing was said to a French couple who also had guests and were out drinking and loud. Overall, this is a gross hotel, and they should disclose the filth and old mattresses at the very least.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I got in after midnight from the airport and the young man at the front desk was so polite and nice. The landscaping was beautiful and I enjoyed the free coffee offered. The hotel is about a 3 in walk from the Arco de Santa Catalina. My room was near the stairs that take you to the terrace and the young people that were using were so loud running up and down and screaming. So just be mindful.

This is the second time staying at Casa Antigua Hotel! It is beautiful, inviting, and comfortable! I would suggest however that they invest in better coffee. All in all was great!
