We had a great stay. Easy walk downtown for dinner the first evening and just off the freeway when we had to drive somewhere. The area felt a little seedy after dark but was well patrolled. The room was large and clean and bed was comfy. The pool was large and not too cold (big enough for laps when it wasn't full of kids). Fitness room was well stocked. The breakfast was good. The only complaint was that the wall a/c was LOUD when it kicked in.

Check in was a breeze, the room was very clean and spacious. Really convenient location and was affordable. Only downside was the pool area was very loud, the water was very cloudy and needed cleaning.

Easy arrival/check in, we liked the king suite, pool, gym and breakfast. Everything was fine. One observation was that the Hampton Inn /Suites in Springfield MA where we stayed last week gave us drinks/ snacks in our room that was part of our membership program. The Hampton in Harford did not.

We enjoyed everything from early check in to the indoor pool and breakfast as early as 6am! I just questioned how often the pool is clean it kinda smelled other than that fantastic stay, clean rooms thanks this was East Hartford CT! Me and little one will be going back for sure

Needed a place to stay while attending a yard goats' game. This hotel is actually in East Hartford but very close to the downtown area. The hotel was nice, and the free Saturday Breakfast was a plus for my wife. The parking lot has a security vehicle which attends to the cars. Hotel prices are expensive nowadays, but this was a good deal within the Hartford area and parking is free.

Very clean property, staff welcoming and friendly. Breakfast quality good. A man who I believe is named Felix was constantly cleaning. The lobby and hallways were kept immaculate. There was a table of free water bottles for the taking in the lobby.Good room, nice amenities. Fabulous front desk people, especially Jasmine & another woman whose name I did not get.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I thought because it was in the Hilton family it was going to be nice, but I was very wrong. It didn’t seem clean, there were stains on the sheets, some towels in the bathroom were wet, pillows were horrible & bed was uncomfortable. I’ll never stay here again.

I was disappointed and canceled my reservation as soon as I entered the room. This entire place is musty and you can smell water has been in the carpet and probably the walls for years. I wouldn’t doubt if this place has to abated for mold soon. Im EXTREMELY disappointed at Expedia for advertising this place as “exceptionally clean”. What a joke. I cant trust Expedia anymore. The musty and damp air in the place is probably due to the fact there is a pool at the center of the building. Also, there shower and bathroom were in separate rooms and between them was carpet. Terrible design. That carpet is getting wet every time someone comes out. Nasty. Blame the architect. But ultimately the owner hires the architect so the owner is to blame for this as well. Do better.

Biggest negative was the presence of roaches in the room. I first noticed a small one scurrying on top of the desk but didn't tell anyone since we were only there to sleep one night on a long road trip. My son was later woken up by a roach crawling on his arm. He went back to sleep but woke up shortly after by another roach crawling on his head. He said there were several of them, including what looked to him like an adult roach. Walls seem thin as well and could hear noise from next room. Water from tap had yellowish tinge.

My daughter and I had a fine one night stay. Room was spacious and clean. Excellent free breakfast in the morning with plenty of options to eat. Only negative was when my daughter attempted to take a shower our first evening there. There was no water pressure or hot water. I went to the front desk and they promptly sent a worker to look at it. He assessed the situation and mentioned another worker must have previously shut it off accidently. Why, I don't know. He left and made a quick return with the proper tools to correct the issue. Everything was fine after that. I read reviews after that said this problem has been going on for quite some time. I'm surprised management hasn't gotten a handle on this. A very nicve stay other than that.

This hotel is a little bit dated, I am suprrised that Hampton Inn allowed this. The room was basic, and the most annoying thing was that there was no hot water when I needed to take a shower (after the gym and before leaving to work), so i left sweaty and dirty. The breakfast was good though, and the staff very polite.

Direct TV was not working. Let the service desk know as I was heading out late Friday afternoon. Gave permission for someone to enter my room when gone. Returned back early evening. Could not access any channels again. Called the desk, they said they will send someone again. No one showed up and I was not going to keep calling about this issue. I don't believe anyone came to check on the issue the first time I let them know.

We are filing a discrimination suit against this hotel and the way we were treated we felt embarrassed and we were accused of lying about staying there even when we gave our name and room number. We will never EVER stay there again!

We had a two night stay at this hotel and it couldn’t have been more annoying and a waste of time to stay here. First of all, the area and the people in the area are super sketchy. If you want to stay in Hartford, go to the west side. From the moment we arrived at this hotel, we could tell the guy at the cash (I think his name was Terry) was going to be useless. He took 30 minutes just to check us in. That’s a long time considering I had already paid before arriving!!! Once we got to our room and started settling down, we noticed that the entire floor was soaking wet. We immediately told the Terry (who was the only person working in the evenings) and he said I can’t do anything JUST for a wet floor. He was gaslighting us and making us feel stupid for wanting a different room that didn’t have a lake for a floor. We spoke to him again and he showed us a lot of attitude and made us pay to move to a different room, which we did because you couldn’t walk those floors without getting your socks fully wet. All of this, he took more than 1 hour to accomplish because he couldn’t seem to do anything right on his computer. The next morning, we spoke to the manager and another sweet lady working at the front desk and they were super helpful and told us that they will refund us for the extra charge because it wasn’t justified. They also seemed confused why we weren’t just moved to another similar room the night before when there were many rooms available. The breakfast staff was superb!!!

The front desk staff was very attentive. My agent asked if I was a Hilton Honors rewards member and when I mentioned that I retired 4 years ago and hadn't used it since then, she offered to re-enroll me. My name popped up immediately. She offered us great advice regarding restaurants in the area and parking facilities close to our venue. She even offered to make a note if I need to stay over and reserve a room for the next day!

The manager, Mercy Was very condecendig ,she came yelling at us as we atempted to bring our children to the pool ,she was vey nelligerent in her actions i believe ,because we are african american, just as I retuned to the inn I was immediatly met in the hallway and asked to sign a pool agreement paper,this to me was very unprofessional then Mercy proceeded to come yelling right in front of some caucasian guests who were standing at the desk with about 12-15 children ,I was very embarrassed and felt my stay was ruined at this point ,I feel Mercy could have handled this in another manner , ,this is the reason im writing this reviewI frel something should be done about this ,furthermore shebeinf the manager should not ever be allowed to treat other guests of color in this way again,she lacked customer service skills frankly i was appalled,this could make me hesitant of staying at any Hampton inn and any products with the name , sincerely Deborah Greene

We were greeted with a wave from the attendant at the desk to go to the other member of the staff. Eventually she took another guest. We waited 15 minutes while a number of guests arriving later were served. The staff was consistently brusque and indifferent.

Property and staff were all wonderful, helpful and kind. Hotel isnt on a great area (empty industrial neighborhood), but we felt safe staying there as a family. Noise was just lots of families and groups of people that we could hear while in our room. Easy/quick <$10 lyft to Hartford events

The hotel is in a primarily business area in East Hartford. The hotel was very well maintained, clean, and convenient for what we wanted to do. Front desk was helpful and breakfast was simple but quite nice. If you don't mind walking the Founder's Bridge pedestrian way is literally steps from the hotel and makes it very easy to go into downtown Hartford.

Sparkling clean, comfy, and plentiful hot and yummy breakfast. What else in the world do you want? Area was a little out of the norm (lots of quiet office buidings) but I guess that's par for a Sunday. No street noise at night was actually a big plus - slept like a rock! Decor is dated but who really cares about that? Staff was extremely friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer. Next time in Hartford, we are there.

When we got there we were earlier than check in time. We have never had a problem at other Hampton Inns useing the pool until our room was ready but they told us we couldnt it was against policy. We were very upset about this because I had my 8 year old grandaughters with us and they were looking forward to swimming that is the reason we got there early. Then the next morning they were so looking forward to the waffles but again we were disappointed because they said the thing that holds the waffle batter was broken. I saw other people with waffles on their plate and felt like they just could have put the batter in something else to use but just didnt want to be bothered so again my grandaughters were disappointed.
