From the moment we arrived, this hotel felt less like a place to stay and more like stepping into a story. I’ll admit, my first impression was uncertain, the hallway seemed dim at first, but as we walked farther in, the lights gently illuminated the space, revealing the charm and character waiting beyond. What truly captured my heart was the warm welcome from the owner and Pappa, seated nearby, peacefully sipping tea. It felt like a scene lifted straight from a Norman Rockwell painting, timeless, authentic, and full of soul. The atmosphere instantly transported me back to Venice, where I experienced that same rare feeling of being immersed in a place rich with history and humanity. At over 100 years old, this hotel wears its age gracefully. While it may not offer every modern amenity, what it delivers is something far more memorable: exceptional hospitality. Every interaction felt personal and genuine. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful surprise, not simply a meal, but a beautifully crafted dining experience. Three cheers for the cook, whose dishes were as stunning to look at as they were delicious to eat. There’s a certain magic here that lingers long after you leave. If I could escape to this hotel one weekend every month, I absolutely would. So don’t let a fleeting first impression fool you, you are in wonderful hands with this family-owned gem. Some places provide a room for the night; this hotel creates an experience you’ll remember long after the journey ends.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel 1110 over the 4th of July weekend. We came back enchanted, relaxed and delighted by the warm hospitality of our hosts, Dr Nick Yacub and his son: they were welcoming, kind and generous. This Adult only Boutique hotel is located across the Del Monte Avenue from the Monterey Beach, Fisherman's Wharf and an easy walk to Cannery Row. We are already planning to return to this peaceful haven; it was a wonderful getaway. As a Travel Advisor, I highly recommend this experience for solo and coupled travelers at this lovely property for a restful stay with a delicious included breakfast and super easy street parking.
