Holiday Inn Express Amite by IHG

The business center did not have a working computer. I could not use the printer, which was unfortunate. I informed the front desk. My key card would not work to access the fitness room. The front desk agent said I could have my room re-keyed. Note: The pool is an indoor pool. The hotel was clean. The mini fridge and microwave worked. Overall a great hotel for business travel.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Breakfast was hot and good. The pool was clean and the area was clean and nice.

Hotel was advertised with an indoor pool. There were not any notes that the pool was seasonal (although indoors) I booked this room for a swim getaway for my daughter.

The property is clean, well-maintained. The staff is all very nice and the breakfast was terrific. I would like to have had access to the pool, but have no other complaints.

One of the main reasons for staying at this hotel was the indoor swimming pool. Guess what was closed? The room is small. And for some odd reason we was put on the 4th floor and the parking lot was empty. The breakfast was very good. The tv to start with didn’t work . But they fixed it. We had to leave a day early due to the massive storms coming through when we asked for a refund for the one night , that was out of the question.. so if you are to ask me was it worth the 600 dollar stay? No! Absolutely not. The staff was friendly. But I was expecting much for the price we paid .

When I arrived to check in, I was told that the elevator was down indefinitely. I should've been informed well before I arrived since my money had already been taken, but I wasn't. The desk clerk even checked some handwritten list that she had and she told me my name wasn't on it and apologized. Then I asked to be on the first floor and I was told no and sent to the 3rd floor. After check-in, I walk 3 flights of stairs with my luggage to get to my room for the key card to not work, either of them. SO I drag my stuff back downstairs for another key card. After Im in my room next door there is a child with a constant ear-piercing scream. Leaving for work on Monday I saw a roach crawling on the wall outside my room. Which in turn made me not eat any food there for my entire stay. During my stay I had to have my room key recoded 8 times because it kept demagnetizing. There was never anyone to bring me towels during the entire 6 night stay, I had to go get them myself. This was the single worst experience I've had at any hotel ever. I chatted with an Expedia rep who said he would issue me a one key cash compensation for the total taxes on the trip and I still haven't received those. It feels like I should've never booked through you guys. And after the way this has been handled I don't think i will nor will I refer anyone to you all. All I want is half my stay back and the onekey cas I was promised by the chat rep.

There was no indication on the website that the elevator on a multi level hotel was out of service. The hotel did not offer a cancellation due to this issue. We had to take a room on the second floor.

Pool is heated such a plus

Elevator broken. Had to kill a couple of roaches. Toiletries in bathroom needed to be refilled.

Quiet place. Facilities were good.

Very nicely surprised by this hotel. Service was great and the cleanliness was above and beyond. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends.

We enjoyed staying in this Hotel . The check in was easy staff was very polite and the room was in excellent condition very clean well maintained ! We will be back next time we come to town !

We ALWAYS stay at IHG Hotels anytime we travel. We had reserved a 2 queen bed suite with a pull out sofa (room 213) for our stay (3/22-3/24). We arrived pretty late on the night of the 3/22. The desk agent was polite during check in and we went up to our room to get some rest. That night we only used the beds and didn’t have a need for the pull out sofa. We left early the morning of 3/23 and were gone most of the day. When we returned to our room with a family friend we decided to use the pull out sofa that night. When I pulled it out to put the sheets on it I noticed a very large brown stain on the mattress that appeared to be blood and an acrylic finger nail. I took pictures and immediately went downstairs to the front desk to let them know and requested a different mattress for the pull out sofa. The front desk called maintenance to remove the mattress and bring us a new one. There was a man that came to our room within 10 minutes and replaced the mattress. I went ahead and made the bed and then our room phone rang from the front desk. The manager (last name Patel) was on the phone with the front desk agent asking us what we did to the mattress and stated that it was a fresh stain. I walked down to the front desk and explained that the stain was there when I pulled the mattress out. He argued with me stating that we did that to the mattress and was very ugly about it. I had to call corporate and file a formal complaint. We will NOT be staying here again! Beware!!

This was a terrible stay. My husband and I were bitten repeatedly when we got to the room. Thought it was bed bugs. Notified front desk and was told it’s probably fleas because they had a lot of service dogs that stayed in the hotel last week. We checked out within 2 hours of arriving. I asked for a refund. Clerk refused to give me a refund. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

Hotel was nice and clean. Quiet room and nice, hot breakfast. No complaints.

The bathroom was not user friendly designed. The toilet was toddler sized. It was very difficult to use. Likewise the sink was very high. There is no way a child could wash their hands by themselves. The 2 side chairs in the room were both dirty and not very sturdy. The person who manned the breakfast area was very nice . I was greeted with a smile both days.

It was convenient for our travel. Staff was good. The sofa bed in our room was sketchy, but the beds were great. One chair was busted. Seems like they’re trying to improve.

TV doesn’t work

Enjoyed our stay…but on the downside, found the lighting to be poor. Every woman likes plenty of bathroom lighting to do makeup. This was so dim!…just a glow around the mirror really! Not adequate! And the room was not sufficiently lit as well. The other downside was a lack of a pantry store to buy milk, cookies, ice cream, etc.

Property was extremely clean and pleasant. When we got ready to check out the attendant was not available. We waited 10 minutes for his return but he never came back to the desk so we had to leave the hotel door cards on the desk. Would have been a perfect score except this one thing.

Had a problem with toliet and they quickly took care and gave me another room.

Everything was excellent at this hotel. On the same exit as a Wal-Mart and other eateries madecit super convenient.

It's quiet, no freeway noise.

the stay was good except for a power outage that left hotel without hot water the second morning. the breakfast was a lot to be desire . the bacon undercook the sausage was horrible and items were same each day.

First-rate service and overall condition. Bed, shower and AC worked perfectly. Breakfast better than most. Not much more a traveler needs in a hotel.
