The street/garage parking across the street from the hotel was incredibly convenient and the Stinger (in hotel restaurant) had incredible service and food. Overall the staff were incredibly friendly and courteous. Beds were comfortable, room was very clean. Great stay.

The property was at very close proximity to Times Square. The parking too is available just across the street. Their Vallet service team is very prompt and will be quick to guide you. The concierge was helpful and guided us on the various points of interest nearby. Also their customer service team provided us details on the IHG's Ambassador programme and we were very happy to enrol for it.

Drinks at the hotel bar were on the pricier side, but they give you a daily credit to use towards food and drinks. Not really a credit because then charge your a daily "resort fee" so they basically cancel each other... not really though... the resort fee was a little more. Liked the room and bathroom though. Would stay there again.

I stayed at this property for four nights in April 2025. All of the staff I worked with were very pleasant and helpful. I splurged on a corner room so I could have a view of the busy streets and city. The first room I was assigned was on the 14th floor and had a less-than-exciting view. I arrived later in the evening, so there were no other rooms available, but they agreed to move me the next day. I was able to pack my bag and leave it in the room and go out and enjoy the day. When I returned, they moved me to a room on the 27th floor that had a spectacular view of 9th Avenue. I was very happy! They delivered my bag to the new room quickly, then also delivered a complimentary fruit plate for the trouble. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The hotel bar and restaurant, The Stinger, was a convenient place to meet with friends and had a good selection of food and drinks. This hotel is conveniently located in the theater district, in walking distance to most shows. It is surrounded by the vibrant Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, full of restaurants, bars and entertainment, and right across the street from Birdland jazz club.

Room was great. It was a junior suite. View was amazing as it was a corner suite. But there is no hotel parking. There was parking opposite to the hotel but with no in-out privileges. Time square was one block away from the hotel. Location was ideal. Lots of restaurants around the area.

Unfortunately we found a bug which resembled a bed bug on our bed at 2am. We then got moved to another room and that room had the same bugs in the room. We had to change rooms not once but twice at 2am. Such a huge inconvenience for a family of 4. Was beyond disappointed with this property.

It was below expectations for cleanliness. The glassdoor to bath had mold and there was dust around all the furniture and even under the beds. It was disgusting because you can tell those areas are never cleaned. The hallway of the floor smelled foul I’m not sure what it was but it was potent.

I am not sure why this is a 5-star property. It has seen better days. Rooms were filthy. Nobody should pay this much for a property like this. This should be rated as 3-star. You are better off at a Holiday inn or Marriott chain. The only good part about the hotel is the staff. They are very polite and accommodating.

The room was not clean when we arrived; the furniture and bathroom were dusty, the carpet on the room was vacuumed at all the whole week, the bathroom appliances were dirty (towel handles, etc). The walls were also dirty.

We stayed at the InterContinental Times Square from June 29th through July 3rd and were thoroughly disappointed with our experience. Firstly, the room cleanliness was subpar. Despite being a supposed luxury hotel, our room was not cleaned properly. Every day, we were shorted towels, necessitating a daily call to request more. Additionally, the bottled water in the room was never replenished, requiring yet another call each day to have them delivered. The room itself, located on the 25th floor, was plagued nightly by a strong odor of marijuana. This was incredibly unpleasant and affected our ability to relax and enjoy our stay. The beds were extremely small and uncomfortable, far below what one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. The bathroom was another letdown. It was not clean, and the shower head was full of hard water buildup, making showers an ordeal. The room's carpet was filthy, and the curtains were ripped at the bottom, adding to the overall feeling of neglect. Overall, our stay at the InterContinental Times Square was underwhelming and disappointing. Given the issues with cleanliness, comfort, and service, we would definitely not stay here again.

The room was spacious. Loved the huge shower. Hotel is in a good location. Did not like that the refrigerator was full of items for sale. I would prefer a little space for my water bottle. I was surprised to receive a final bill for over $80 that was labeled as Amenities. The explanation given when I asked was that it was due to reserving with Expedia.

The rooms are dated. A lot of chipped furniture and the carpet needed cleaning. The curtains were hanging off tbe windows in my corner room. For the price and star rating I expected more. These things I could’ve over looked but while the concierge staff outside attended to all the other guests ( I even saw one give a complementary umbrella to a lady who said she was checking out telling her to bring it next time she came, which I thought was above and beyond) however they never once asked if I needed a ride as they did everyine else, without approach. I stood there and arranged a total of 6 Uber rides myself as they asked everyone other than me. They never opened my door, as they did for all the other guests. They didn’t unload my luggage when I arrived nor when I left, all of them clearly saw me rolling it from the door to my Uber and loading it myself. During my two day stay and constant in and out of the property, I watch as they meticulously attended to everyone else, but they never said a word to myself nor my husband. I would hate to perseverate over why I think that was… but I digress. This wasn’t my first time staying here while in NY, but it will sadly be my last.

Didn’t feel like a 5 start hotel which I filtered for. The halls to the rooms looked the worst, we noticed how poor of condition the carpet was in immediately getting off the elevator. The rooms were just pretty standard.

We stayed for two nights. The room was nice, the beds very comfortable. Service was great. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Little things: the little room refrigerator was totally taken up by the pay minibar, making it difficult to keep our water cold, etc. and we needed to seek the assistance of the staff twice because the television streaming app did not work for us as designed. Regardless, it was a very pleasant place to stay, and would recommend it.

Check-in was horrible. Took forever. It’s charged two different credit cards for the same amount claiming there was a problem in their system. I’m still waiting on my refund. They tried to charge a third card prior to arrival. They tied up over $1000 for a one night stay. My room smelt like old trash. Although we were only going to be there one night, we did not have time to return to the hotel repack our bags, and transferred to a different room. In the middle of the night, the bathroom lights stopped working, and I had to use my cell phone flashlight to go use the restroom. Not a good day at all.

We have been to NYC three times since October of 2024, and we have stayed at the Westin Times Square, the Hard Rock Hotel Times Square, and the Intercontinental this past weekend. I have never had staff treat guests as poorly as the staff at this hotel treated us. We arrived at the hotel on Friday 2/7, between the hours of 8am and 9am. The women working all the way to the right hand side of the front desk was extremely rude, the concierge that was working, a separate woman, was also horrible at her job and extremely dismissive. Additionally, we waited over ten minutes for a luggage attendant to take our luggage, and he was also very disgruntled and not friendly. The reason for this review is to let other travelers know the hotel was beautiful, clean and very well located. However, the horribly attitude the staff at this hotel seem to have, combined with the fact that there are two other gorgeous hotels around this corner from this property make it very easy to never return to the Intercontinental. The property management needs to train their staff on what "customer service" means, and what it means to provide someone with a customer experience worth returning for. The Intercontinental does not have staff willing to provide this presently.

The reason for this review is to let other travelers know the hotel was beautiful, clean and very well located. However, the horribly attitude the staff at this hotel seem to have, combined with the fact that there are two other gorgeous hotels around this corner from this property make it very easy to never return to the Intercontinental. The property management needs to train their staff on what "customer service" means, and what it means to provide someone with a customer experience worth returning for. The Intercontinental does not have staff willing to provide this presently.

Great location, friendly staff, rooms were very good with excellent bedding and linens. Was very safe and well run. So why did they need to insult me with a fake resort fee of 35$ per room per night? I would pay their rate, why do they need to trick people? I will do better in the future to avoid places with this practice as it is demeaning. Find someplace that treats you better, as a person and patron. I will.

Hotel is well situated in mid town and is clean, very quiet and the staff is very professional. Don't let them arrange travel to the airport for you - you will end up paying double the taxi cab rate. I had an early morning flight so wasn't thinking through it when I checked out but wish I had found a cab or taken an Uber.

Very disappointed from start with check in. Was checked in and given out room keys. When we got to the room could not open the door so went back down to reception from floor 29. Receptionist the apologised for her mistake stating that she had got us mixed up with another lady with same surname. She then proceeded to tell me the other guests full name and date of check in and check out !!!!!! No awareness of breach of guest confidentiality. Eventually gave us a room on 24th floor Then at check out our bill was totally incorrect and when questioned the receptionist refused to check. I then went to the concierge and asked if he can point me to some one senior who can help me. He was fantastic and took me straight to some one more Senior who straight away noticed the errors and amended the bill . She deducted over $200 !! Clearly the reception staff need more training and supervision when guests have spend a lot of money to stay at this Hotel.

I stayed at this property for four nights in April 2025. All of the staff I worked with were very pleasant and helpful. I splurged on a corner room so I could have a view of the busy streets and city. The first room I was assigned was on the 14th floor and had a less-than-exciting view. I arrived later in the evening, so there were no other rooms available, but they agreed to move me the next day. I was able to pack my bag and leave it in the room and go out and enjoy the day. When I returned, they moved me to a room on the 27th floor that had a spectacular view of 9th Avenue. I was very happy! They delivered my bag to the new room quickly, then also delivered a complimentary fruit plate for the trouble. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The hotel bar and restaurant, The Stinger, was a convenient place to meet with friends and had a good selection of food and drinks. This hotel is conveniently located in the theater district, in walking distance to most shows. It is surrounded by the vibrant Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, full of restaurants, bars and entertainment, and right across the street from Birdland jazz club.

Great location. Big room. Very clean and bright. We were on the fifth floor and the noise from the street, especially ambulances, was so loud it kept us up at night. We were not allowed to change rooms.

The hotel is near Time Square and close to lots of restaurants and Broadway shows. The room was clean and the beds comfy. We did have an issue with the AC the first night but changed rooms the following and no more issues. The Stinger is a great place to relax and wind day from the day.

This was a beautiful hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff was amazing. The restaurant on site was very good - cool atmosphere and good service. Drinks at the hotel bar were on the pricier side, but they give you a daily credit to use towards food and drinks. Not really a credit because then charge your a daily "resort fee" so they basically cancel each other... not really though... the resort fee was a little more. Liked the room and bathroom though. Would stay there again.

This was a perfect location for being close to theaters, Times Square and the subway, yet not right *in* the noise. Staff was super friendly and attentive to our needs. The beds were super comfortable and the shower was lovely with even a little foot step to make shaving easier. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious.

The room was clean and better than my expectation. The bathroom was big and I expected a smaller area given that we are in Times Square area. The location is perfect, it’s two blocks from Times Square so less crowded and noisy. One thing is that they had extra charges for things we didn’t use in the room so we had to review the receipt and they corrected it, but if you were in hurry, you might miss it.

The rooms were clean and the staff were respectful. The criticism we have is that the room that we had originally requested was not correct for our needs. When I booked, I reserved an accessible room and at the time I emailed ahead to let them know that my Mum (who is physically disabled and can’t raise her legs) needed a walk in shower/ wet room. This was many months ago. They emailed to say that they would accommodate this. Upon our arrival, we were told that the room had a bath! We weren’t able to accept it as my Mum needed a wet room. We had to wait an extra night until one became available. The rest of the time, the hotel was incredibly hospitable and kind. They bent over backwards and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay… but we do think that the hotel should have been better prepared as they did know the circumstances. Everything else was great. The breakfast was incredible!
