Newport Oceanfront Inn

The room was clean, no coffee pot in room. Had to walk to another hotel for coffee and just grab and go breakfast. Only one table for sitting. Parking was atrocious. It was on ocean but windows were so salted over that you couldn’t see out of them. You couldn’t even get into building without using your room card. Very inconvenient if your hands were full.

Its better when it was shilo inn. now under new ownership. no AC so hot summer time can be issue. but always a wonderful view.

Loved our time in Newport and our stay at the oceanfront hotel, they even gave me a box of chocolate and a bottle of apple cider for my birthday, very nice touch. Looking forward to returning next year

Property is undergoing a remodel which was not disclosed at booking. Only one functional ice machine. Elevator extremely slow and parking level entry to elevator filthy with sand. Fridge had accumulated ice chunks in freezer compartment along with someone’s leftover used ice pack. Bed skirt oversized for mattress and drooped on floor. Mattress had noticeable springs protruding creating uneven support. The adjacent hotel was managing check-in. Staff were extremely pleasant is the only thing I would rate positive about the stay.

Nice ocean view, very helpful staff, comfortable beds. The only thing is you will need a high clearance vehicle to enter the parking under the hotel, it's a very steep angle, but there was plenty of parking available in there parking lot across the street. Overall we had a wonderful trip.
