The staff were very friendly and helpful. The 'free' breakfast was good (especially the fresh fruit salad) but limited in choice. The building, which is very close to the cathedral, dates from the 16th century and was quirky and interesting due to this. We paid over £200 per night for our 3-night stay and felt that this was much too much for what we got. The room was quiet and a reasonable size but the bathroom was tiny and there were signs of mould between the tiles and sealant. The finish of the bathroom was poor. On the plus side the fan provided was very effective and, as mentioned before, the staff were excellent.

What a lovely quirky hotel. The staff were friendly and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic breakfast. We will definitely go back Geoff and Diane Pridmore.

Be careful, it’s easy to accidentally book a room with SHARED bathroom facilities! This place is so charming but the rooms facing the main street are LOUD with young men yelling well until 11pm or so. Getting to the hotel can be tricky as well. Need to go past bollards into the pedestrian zone. No a/c no elevator and the parking lot is public and a few blocks away but reasonable. Breakfast is minimal, no eggs…
